WM6.1 Professional Hybrid ported from Wizard

Hello all. I'm ported Wizard Slim ROM to Tornado.

Works very good, booting this system take 20-30sec. Comm Manager button is OK/Close, like in Kamikadze!.

Not all working at this moment. Not working is:
- unable to assign keys to programs using Buttons applet. You need edit registry to assign keys, (i fixed this)
- WMP is closing after playing 1 file,
- after run FakeCursor with long home press, error screen will show. What is this shortcut?
EDIT: - is not possible to write letters using hardware buttons. You must use screen keyboard. (fixed, big thanks for NitroGenious)

New version based on 20931 build from Wizard, including Manila 2D!

Instructions for kitchen:
1. Run BuildOS.cmd . When BuildOS window appears, click Play button, then exit.
2. Wait a while.
3. After cmd window disappears, go to RUU folder and flash your Tornado.

This is WWE version, but i'm working on PLK version.

I'm not downloading kitchen for Slim ROM. I'm dumped it (with XIP) and segregate packages in this using PKGTool. Next i'm replaced XIP with this from Kamikadze!.
Kitchen will be later.

BTW: ROM have 2MB more storage than Kamikadze!.

EDIT: I used "typho5.exe -t -v -x nk.nbf" to extract the OS.nb from your latest released ROM. The kitchen seems to work now, but I have not tested the created ROM yet...

I've gone through the posts on the different professional roms being ported for the tornado, but have yet to find a solution to the unit shutting off when the screen goes black.

Does anyone have a fix - or a link to the file or response that I missed.

Roms work very well - have no issues for the most part - except for when the screen goes black.

One funny thing happened to me. After installing my favorite app loads and a soft reset. I always got blank screen after screen timeout. It takes a full day to figure out the culprit. I got it now after activating "Tornado LowLight" I forgot to deactivate it. I just started it again and close the app normally and problem is solved

I have to flash my phone with MietasSR' ROM

@MietasSR: go to folder Reduce Backlight Brightness that in folder SYS in kitchen and file 5BE2AC63-A855-490d-9879-D34315CD9549.RGU open in notepad. On the new line write this:

and save (encoding must be Unicode)

My experience with LowLight is: If I remove battery with LowLight turned on, when phone turns on again, it will do what you said. Unless I keep it from turning off screen and then go open and close LowLight. All works fine after that. It only happens if removing battery with LowLight turned on. At times it might do it if restarting phone while froze and having LowLight on.
If you have LowLight set to autostart with Startup, then remove it from there and your problem should be solved.

New information: I cooked ROM with Manila 2D on new base (20931 from Wizard, very very clean, only XIP & SYS). nk.nbf have ~31MB size.

EDIT: ROM have 16,54MB free storage memory and including Manila 2D!

I found one small bug - when I hold Home button run FakeCursor and immediately after run Messaging. But this bug fixed after settings function "Button 1" from Messaging to <None> in Start-Settings-Buttons.

Yes, after install Audio Manager is this fixed.


In Wireless manager is hide wi-fi. I think that wi-fi on, because battery is very low endurance though is smartphone in standby.

I tried copy from Slim base ROM two DLLs - WiFiHomePlugIn.dll and WiFiSettings.dll to folder Windows and softreset. Now Wifi enabled in Opal Comm manager but I can´t WiFi turn off or turn on.
