Hey peeps, I'm new here but have been lurking for a while ha.

I'm wondering if anyone who has a AT&T 8525 with touchscreen that doesn't work right or doesn't work anymore? Mine started malfuctioning in around spring 2008 and have been using the keyboard and button controls to get around things, some things that require touchscreen which made it useless in some applications. I'm just furfilling my curiousity and hope I'm not the only one out there, but I asked if that was the issue with those phones and AT&T store told me quite a few people had these failures.

there have been many posts i have come across these forums about the screen not working (look for my next post, i have one for sale)...

i have replaced a screen on the att tilt. took about 30 min, and $75, but works great now. you could always do this instead of trashing the phone.

Ha ha...my phone needs a lot of work so it's not worth replacing the screen. The keyboard stops working, battery is bad, shuts off for no reason. :P Good to know that I'm not the only one with a bad touch screen...:)

I picked up a new screen and LCD for 30 on ebay. Directions are in the wiki about how to dismantle.
