Texting on a TREO 700 running WM6.0

I updated my Treo 700wx with a ROM i found on the net. It's WM 6.0 and runs very well on the phone, EXCEPT text messaging. All i get is jumble. Like "&" and "|" and square boxes.

Anyone know what's wrong with it???
Also, i'm with BELL Canada, but the ROM i think was made for SPRINT phones (I didn't think it made a different from what i've read on the net)

Hmmm... Sounds like an encoding problem.

Try this: Download and install Schap's Advanced Config (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070). Run it and look in the messaging section. There should be an option to have SMS accept Unicode characters. Whatever it is set to, change it and see if it fixes the problem.
