Is there any way I can get two of the touch hotkeys to act as the left and right softkeys?

You can try MortScript:

I've already created the needed script files. You can find them in the attached ZIP file.

1. Install MortScript.
2. Extract the attachment e.g. to the "My Documents" folder on your device.
3. Create shortcuts to the script files and put them into the start menu/programs folder.
4. Associate the shortcuts to the touch hotkeys.
