[Q] Programs Won't Close!!!

after I installed about 5 programs on my sprint touch(official 6.1) programs don't close with X. I've gone into the settings and it is on close with X but that is just minimizing it. and even if I hold x it doesn't close. I know this isn't much info but Im on my touch right now so that's why. oh yea and I can post all my installed programs if necessary.

You need to get together with this guy (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=457575) and trade devices.

Sorry, just joking. Anyway, make sure you don't have any programs installed that have control over the X button. Such programs take-over the X-button and can mess with HTC Task Manager. WKTask is a popular programs which does this.

the only thing like that that I have installed is like another htc task manager

well um since i have no help yet im bumping. and i just uninstalled the htc task manager that i got from the manilla stuff and now the drop down box doesn't even show up on the Today screen. And X still will not close programs, just minimize them, except now i have to go to settings to exit them :(:(

I think you have to long hold x to close (not just tap) tap minimizes

no I have the settings in task manager set to tap x to close. and I have tried holding x and it doesn't do anything. also if you know a registry key that has to do with it please say so

Had the same problem with wm6.1.
Solved this with "HTC x-button v1.5". Maybe this will help you.
