Hi guys,

I have a working T-Mobilie Vario III (kaiser) and just had the warranty voided by HTC because the moisture sensor is activated (they say I have soaked it basically, I haven't).

The phone has had a long term (1 year) problem with the ear speaker not working and now my handsfree kit left speaker has broken so....

1) I need a parts supplier in the UK for a new handsfree kit
2) I need a decent, cheap, reliable independant repair shop who will fit a new ear speaker/fix the connection problem if a ribbon etc on this otherwise working Kaiser. Also my front and back covers are a bit scratched could do with new ones fitting while It's in bits.

I could fit a new ear speaker myself, but due to having to fully dissamble the whole phone to get to it and it possibly being a connection on the mainboard etc, I'm a touch reluctant. I have fitted a new screen to an xda exec and have tools, but little experiece with such small electronics.

Other option - if I put a new post on here and find someone with a bricked Kaiser with a good case/screen it looks easier to take out the mainboard/gubbins and replace them with mine and the 'under back cover' with my imei written on it. Am I right in saying this should be a good alternative?

Any help appreciated, this is a right saga and I really want it working again by xmas.

Greg.

Hi,

I managed to crack the screen of my Tytn2 a few months back, phone would turn on, screen go white, but no images were visible and a big crack was visible on the screen.

Luckily enough a quick search identified http://gsm-support.co.uk/ who are based in Barnet, London.

I found them via e-bay, not sure if they still advertise via ebay though.

I called them up explained by position and agreed an amount paid via paypal (£60, a little pricey, but I use my phone ALOT and couldn't be with out it for too long). I could have traveled to their place of business, where they would have conducted the works then and there, but was too busy so elected for postage.

Posted off my phone, (no battery, stylus, sim or sd card should be included while posting... their requirements not mine) and had it back, good as new within two days.

The phone had been hard reset, so I had to reinstall all my apps etc, but I keep back ups on my micro sd card, inconvenient but not a big issue.

Overall IMHO a very good service, quick, convenient and reliable.

Let us know how you get on.

I had my USB port fail and to my delight found this firm near to where I live. They had the problem sorted in an hour and it only cost £40. I can thoroughly recommend.

Cheers,

Ashley

THanks for that! I got it fixed at Dr Unlock in Nottingham, £25 and it's fixed just fine.

Good to know HTC said it required a mobo, lcd, case and had water damage (no damage visable even under microscope, just a broken speaker).
