I admit I am a newbie.

Background- Had my wizard for a couple of weeks and love it. I have flashed several roms (Touch, Wis-Flo, SNN Diamond and TnT), for my needs I have to have tasks and calendar info on my today screen. So I settled for SNN Diamond.

My problem- at some point I set up an email push via SMS and now I want it to stop. I searched here and have tried reg-editing (even though there is no sign of the email account on my wizard), the email return utility, hard reset (clear storage) and even reflashed the Rom. Nothing has worked!

even more info:
I tried to reset the email up, change the collection to manual and then delete the account but that didn't work.
The SMS's come from "700".
Tried reflashing back to factory rom- Still happens
Flashed to SNN Diamond- Still happens

Is there someway to reset my wizard so this will stop?

Please help- the amount of spam hitting this email is killing me.
Thank you for your time,
Dan

I am sorry, but I cannot help.
I am replying though to give you the names of a few VERY smart people here who may be able to possibly help you. Just don't nag them and say I passed on their names. :D
First off, I believe it is Newbie who cooked the rom you mentioned. You may want to verify that and if so, possibly make contact for help.
its right is a brilliant person here, as is mestrini (off the top of my head--they have both been incredibly helpful to me in the past). There are MANY others here who are both sharp and capable, but I have never been great with names...so forgive me.
I hope this gives you a jumping off point, and you can make right this issue. I use a fairly old rom (by today's standards) it is Jag 3.1 by NTS, and it is pretty nice, but lacks any and all of the bells and whistles...but is really stable and quick.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info- I'm still a little hesitant to contact anyone.

I'm just a newbie,

your best bet is to contact your operator - this looks more like an phone company problem than a software, much more a hardware problem (instances of direct push buttons getting stuck have been accounted for, doesn't hurt to mention that). i imagine that you just need to have them unsubscribe you from that service or something. other than that, i'm all blanks.

As ditch_azeroth said.
This e-mail push service is a non-ROM related service.
You are subscribed to it, even if you would pop your sim into another phone you'll get those messages (and probably have to pay for them).

Thus reflashing your phone doesn't work, you need to unsubscribe yourself from this service.

Best regards,

EqX
