I have created a kitchen with the latest Alltel 6.1 Rom broke down and added
some of DCD tweaks, some oems from the other guys and put scotts m2d oem
i will be posting pics and a download link later tonight.

This rom was made made me because I could find one that worked well with alltel.

*Requirements:
+ NueSpl 2.47, olipro 2.40/ I reocmend the first as it is much easier to install.
+ Radio 2.3.3x or higher. What I run is 3.42.50
+ Working and hopefully prior exp in flashing custom ROMS.

MMS 5.0.71.33 is working great.
GPS fixes are extremly fast and accurate. After QSPT and OEM.
Battery Life is unbelievable.

For QPST check here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=36377

awesome work. its good to see other cooks stepping up. but i do have a favor to ask .... it seems like you were able to get a hold of scroslers' M2D build that he had on R4 rom. would you be able to supply that cab?

what do you mean by:

GPS fixes are extremly fast and accurate. After QSPT and OEM.

What do i do with QSPT and OEM?

Not sure about the OEM part, but with QPST you can set the Altel aGPS server info and it will get a GPS sync in under 15 seconds, even inside and usually have more satellites linked than without the aGPS fix.

I'm assuming the OEM is a preset registry change as well, but registry alone isn't enough to get it to work, the QPST part is 99% of it, the registry change only helps once the QPST part is done.

Whenever I use M2DC to disable the anolog clock, the background squares of the digital clock move to the left and the numbers are all bunched on the right.

Other wise the rom is working great. Similar to R4R, without the SMS/MMS problems. I just have to figure out what all of the programs are.

Is there any way to use the windows media player on the music tab? It seems to not shut down as much when I am using too much ram. If I am doing too much with windows media, at worst it pauses for a few seconds. With audio manager it will either shut down completely or stop, then start the next song when it starts moving again.

Nice work! I've been running the official Alltel 6.1 for the past few weeks and have been pleased with it, but have been feeling the need to scratch the "flashing itch" of late.

Question for you. As I said, I have the newest Alltel 6.1 flashed at this point, and I did go into QPST and edit the aGPS. Assuming that this is just a ROM (no radio or anything) my QPST changes should survive a flash, correct? I shouldn't have to do them again? I remember this being debated at one point, but don't remember a resolution.

i used this kitchen, but the resulting nbh file is only 6mb....doesn't right compared to other roms i've flashed. Maybe it is though?

Thats correct but you never know, I have seen stranger things happen. For the most part you should be good.

mettercomputers thanks for the cabbing up Scotts M2D! I'm going to test it out now. :D

edit:
just tested the cab and i get this message "installation was unsuccessful. the program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate." i have an XV6800 running DCD's 3.3.4 ... its unlocked... soooo...... any ideas?

with this kitchen, I'm seeing 0% for my battery/power status in both PowerCPL and NuePowerCPL (i tried it without NuePowerCPL and it made no difference)...

any ideas?

EDIT: Replaced battery*.dll with those from nueROM and it fixed this issue.

This Build is fantastic. I need to now learn how to cook things and add a few missing apps that I need and also do this for the VZW version to eliminate the multiple steps.

I tried to previously follow some instructions to get the kitchens to work, but never got the correct combination to function. I suppose I need to just get rid of all the current kitchen related stuff on my machine and try over from a fresh install and everything.

Thanks for the great work.

This is really fast and uses low amount of memory.

How do I let a program run that is showing me the File "****" cannont be opened. Either it is not a signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found...

I went to download the kitchen and RapidShare said it was not there.

Does someone have this?

Do I need the kitchen to install this new Rom?

Sorry - no0b here. Have not done anything with kitchens and such before. Just trying to make my Alltel 6800 run faster and smoother and let's face it - HTC support sucks.
