I searched all over yesterday to find any info that would help me to try my hand at cooking roms for my Ipaq. I found a thread for Hx2*** (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=383173) series Ipaqs, there was a kitchen included with the rom. But no instructions on usage or anything. When I try to find tutorials on how to use the kitchen, there's just so many different ones.

So my questions, are wm6.1 roms device specific or are they a melting pot of settings to make it work on your device? How would I go about finding out how to use the kitchen included in the release? Better yet how would I make my own kitchen? What about base roms, is a base rom the same across all devices, and just tuned to work with certain devices? Or is it dumped from a certain model and just tuned from there? I ask because there is a wm6.1 for the ipaq I have and hp never went over 5.

I'm not looking for you to spell out huge answers, links to threads are great. I have tried over and over again to revise my searches to no avail. Im thinking my problem is with my older Ipaq. It's what I got and it's what Id like to start on. But its a bit outdated haha.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've beat up google, been around a million sites to no avail. I hope someone can pass a few tidbits of info my way. Thanks.
