RESULTS OF TESTED ROMS (ver. VII and VIII)
I have give a one-week try for both versions and I would like to share the results. After a week of using I must say that version VII has MUCH MORE smooth responses than newer VIII. The difference is fundamental!!! Version VIII is very sssslooooowww with constant delays in operations as compared to VII. Maybe is't because the author wanted to satisfy users who wanted more free RAM so he "stole" the memory from Windows essential processes and the result is that the new version VIII is so slow as compared to old VII...
interesting!!!! anybody out there which shared this opinion?

VOLUME BUG (volume controls not working) was caused by hardware :( I have send it to warranty repair and now It's OK ;)

right for eziput1 qvga but for ezinput2 qvga I found only two .CAB (from htc magic and htc rodium) but don't work.

Ezinput2 qvga of this rom work very well.

Thank to chavonbravo for his wonderful recipes. I had been using Naked VI till now and it was fantastic, no hassle and fast response.

I know he (Chavonbravo) had for now stop cooking, so i will need help from those who had ever use this ROM whom faced video playback error "cannot play the file" on the WMP. Is there a fix or anything was missed and did any one got a solution to it?

Additional info: practically all videos cant be played back on WMP only. It does well on tcpmp.

I think WMP only works fine with *.wmv files.

I believe it does work with videos recorded by Cruise too? as in mp4 and 3gp.

Hi all.
I've burned ROM VIII (naked). Before i used version VI (naked).
And now i have one question: quite big menus in every program. For me it is not cool. Does any body know how i can somehow change this setting ? Thanks in advance.

BTW I must say I don't like fonts too. And especially in Programs/Settings menus. The fonts are too small :( I would like to have classic old setting I mean standard font size and icons in 3 rows!!!

EDIT: Hmm I have set these settings in "Advanced Config":
Horizontal icon spacing: 75
Icon title font size: 9

and now it is even better than WM default setting ;)

Thanks for this new version. I have installed the full French version "3LIT3 VIII"

But I have a probleme/ a bug :

First time , I have flashed my phone succesfully. After 2 hours I have installed MobileShell3 and my contacts phone backup with PimBackup.
my phone crashed. When I put on soft reset button,
my phone has not restarted, it remained stuck on the first start screen (mobile bios 6...R,G,D...)

I do a hard reset and it was ok.

after the hard reset I have nothing installed to test this ROM.
And this morning, new crash.
And when I wanted turn off the phone (long press the "power" button) the phone do a hard reset himself !

Now, the phone seems to work, but I expect a few hours to reinstall on phone my applications and contacts ...


Nobody has this problem with the French ROM ?

Ok, i have installed PDAVIET 6.5, and I Have reinstalled over the 3LIT3 VIII ROM, After 3 hard reset, This ROM work perfectly on my phone.

8 version ot 3LIT3 nice, but sometimes M2D works slow and maybe M2D with default menus insted of nelok ones will be good.

So i think there is still opportunity for tuning. :)

PS I'd like to look kitchen of this rom or older versions.

I have a problem with IE, I need to display several sites in Mobile Version, but IE displays more like desktop version. With original ROM the page is displayed correct...

I m using the full version and I m pretty amaze by the job done.
The only thing I have notice is the usb to pc doesn't work for me, when I choose usb it says "Insert a storage card" I have one in it of course.
And when you get connected in Wifi if you type the wrong key a screen apear and it seems to me that it is a VGA image since I can only see 1/4 of the image.
It is not a big issue as if you type the right key every thing is ok.

this is probably a simple matter, but I've just installed the rom on my Orbit 2 (POLA200) and performed a PIM restore, after which Touch Flo doesn't want to restart - i.e. you can touch "Tap here to launch TouchFlo", which I did and after "Launching TouchFlo" I am back to "Tap here to launch TouchFlo" - ergo nothing happens, tried hard and soft reseting, it always happens after I restore my messages (1220) and contacts (212).

Help anyone?

hi! i just bought a polaris and tested this rom as my second rom and it's great!!! really outstanding work!!

I'm using VIII Lite ger and here's a short sum-up:

the bug with the keyboard and footprints can be fixed easily with EzInput 2.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542117).

Footprints works great with TomTom 7.910 (7.915 doesn't work with fp) and with google maps installed on the internal memory. Great Application!

No problems with wifi so far. also great is the second line in appointments on the home-screen - thank you for that!

had some problems with the screen lock but solved it by installing the new device lock.

thank you for this great rom and your affort - too bad that you stopped working on this.

I've flashed this rom (3LIT3 VIII Full NLD) last week, and it's the best! But I don't get Youtube to work properly. Every time a movie ends, I only get to see the black screen, no links to other movies. The screen freezes or something...
Is there any way to solve this problem? I've already flashed my Radio and put a new youtube player on it, but the problem stays...

Are you sure that your radio is 1.59.xx?? because radio not included with the rom.

Ok i'll tell you something else..
Did you try hard reset the device after rom flash.
In the WWE version ,camera working 100%. I don't know for the GER version.
I suggest you to make a hard reset and if the problem exists try the WWE version.

Wow, this is in fact the best ROM which I have installed so far!
I installed VI version few months' back and two days ago, I saw the VIII version, and gave it a try.

This ROM is far met my expectation. It's awesome!

I like almost everything in this ROM, except one minor issue which I am facing though. This may only be happened to minority who uses chinese font.

I notice the Menu is bigger, good for "touch" operation, unlike the older version was a narrow menu list. This bigger Menu has in fact doesn't recognize the Chinese font. It shows squares instead.

I remember I installed one of the ROMs in my HTC Diamond few months ago and I also encountered the same issue. I somehow able to get around it as the ROM came with a little program that can switch back to the older type of Menu, and the chinese fonts can be displayed again.

However, I could not remember what is that program and not able to switch back my large Menu to the older type in my Polaris.

Anyone has any idea for the fix? Thanks!

My Polaris started to forget that i have microSD in slot with this rom. Rom is nice but some apps arent good for polaris, f.ex. Menu Enhansments and Rodium Notifications not good for qvga.

Rom is protected so no way to recook it.

I love this ROM. I have used it for months but now I am moving to WM6.5 from pcarvalho. But I am missing one feature. The small application that allows to switch to or kill applications. It is always in the up right corner. The icon looks like tree horizontal line with a small triangle. See the atteached picture. Anybody knows what is the name of this app and where to find it. Fonts are too big for your liking? Go to Settings/System/Screen/Text Size and set on middle for what you're used to.

First of all thanks for your help, but I don't understand, what is the connection between the radio rom and the camera, i thought, that radio rom is only for bluetooth, wifi, etc. And can you give me any further instructions of how to do that radio rom istalling (step by step)? Like, which radio rom i have to install, which is the best? (a link would be helpful, where i can download it from). And the steps i have to make before installing this 3lite3 WWE ROM, to make it work correctly. I'm sorry about having a lot of questions, but i really liked this rom, it was so beautiful, end fast, but i'm using the camera a lot, so... :(

First of all thanks for your help, but I don't understand, what is the connection between the radio rom and the camera, i thought, that radio rom is only for bluetooth, wifi, etc.
believe me ..part of the radio rom is responsible for the camera. I am almost certain that your problem is radio related, unfortunately what is your current radio now? try to upgrade to 1.58 or 1.59 family, there is a sticky thread on radio rom.

You may continue to use it, it is false alarm since the ruu exe use a method of hacking identified as a trojan by the anti-virus.

Hello to you all... I recommend to you all to use old VII because the last VIII is VERY SLOOOOOW... you can compare it but you can feel the difference after the flashing at once... I gave a chance to VIII for a week but reality is that even it has more free memory it very very slow in compare to VII... BTW I hope there will be soon any stable and fast WM6.5 ROM on this forum ;-) For now WM6.5 is very bad choice as I see when I read posts in Polaris WM6.5 threads...
BTW I'm using the old VII for more than 4 months (phone functions, various programs, BT, GPS...)

Hi all, my polaris with 3LIT3_VIII_Full WWE rom after few days working normally (and fast),suddenly trying for example to exit of stand-by mode or enabling radio, freeze and a soft reset must be performed.But once restarted, rom initialize everything as the first time boot and all additional progs must be reinstalled from the scratch..I've used this exactly same rom for the first time some month ago, using it for long time and nothing like this never happened(!?).

For Tomtom 7 a bluetooth or mobilephone connection has to be present. If the phone is in plane mode, no GPS is possible with TomTom7.

Great Rom!!! I came back from a slow 6.5 Rom. Everthing seems fine. Tomtom 7 ist working, quickgps and all the other features. Runing on a german o2 xda orbit 2.

It does work on mine, the backlight options. It dims or switches off on the time which is set. Those settings are stored too.Maybe it has something to do with the type of device you have. Some series of the P3650 are "RUK" (bad;) See here at GOT (http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/1293454///p3650) I myself have an "807GExxx"

..just to say that after installing 3LIT3 VIII - ITA I immediately discovered that the rom was not working fine... :confused: (slow, camera was a black screen, telephone problems..) Then reading this thread I discovered that

1) a correct RADIO must be installed. :) So (after flashing the rom) I installed RADIO 1.59.44.02 AND IMMEDIATELY EVERYTHING WAS MIRACLE PERFECT!!! (i.e. the camera was not more black screen only, the rest of the phone was almost perfect) :rolleyes:

2)Then I solve another annoying bug of BACKLIGHT :mad: (that was that after 18sec it was turning off even if changed the SETTINGS->POWER (BATTERY)->ADVANCED and did a reset). To solve this bug: ;)

1) I uncheck all the 4 marks in this tab and then press OK. Doing this the backlight was ALWAYS ON ..that was not exactly what I wanted but..

2) Re-opening SETTINGS->POWER (BATTERY)->ADVANCED and Re-checking the squares with appropriate timing for switching off, (30 sec for the first, 4 mins for the second, 5 mins for the third and leaving uncheck the last square)---then OK--suddendly ...another miracle solved the problem and now backlight is perfectly working!

Hope to help someone new. I know my english is rubbish, sorry I'm italian. If anyone is interested write me, I will reply with pleasure. PLease also give a beer to the great mind of chavonbravo for his fantastic roms.

in addition to this, QuickGPS seems to be messed up (again). I don't know how, but sooner or later, with every ROM I tried, I get that issue, that QuickGPS won't recognize my data connection anymore, and will not update anymore...
Anyone got an idea?

i have flashed this rom since 2 days and there are no crashes or other big bugs, it runs very stable.
I used the german full version on o2 xda orbit 2 with Radio Rom 1.59.46.12.

But i need your help please.
1. i am searching for a comfortable way to dimm my Backlight and i dont have fond a funktion like that. only in Einstellungen/system/energieverwaltung/beleuchtung. this works, but this is no way for instant changing the backlight.

2. is it possibele to change the clock from 12 houres am pm mode to an 24 h mode? like 20:00 o clock?

3. the last point is a very important point for me. i have flashed the german version and some programms are thinking it is a english version. A sample: The aplication GczII for geocashing will open the google maps program in the folder \Program Files\GoogleMaps\googleMaps.exe , but my folder Name is Programme\GoogleMaps\googleMaps.exe . The Problem is that i can´t rename the folder and i can´t choose another folder to install the program. Because windows choose automaticly the Programme folder for installing programs. so i would like to know how to change the settigngs of the Rom to solve the problem.

Another sample: The app WIFI Remote Access will not install the german language files because the Program is thinking it is a english mobile rom.


My old rom was the original O2 windows 6.0 and i have flashed direkt over and then i have changed the radio version to 1.59.46.12. After all i have made a hard reset, and that´s it...

All other things i have tested are working fine and i will say thanks a lot for the programmer. Sory for my bad english.

1: so machs ich auch immer, geht nicht leichter so weit ich weis. (as far as I know, there is no simpler acces to that)

2:klar geht das unter einstellungen, system, ländereinstellungen wähle dort deutsch aus, wenn es dann immer noch nicht geht, dann noch ein paar tabs weiter rechts auf uhrzeit. Dort bei Vormittag und Nachmittag nichts eintragen. (go to settings, system, country settings)

3. wie öffnest du aus GCz2 das google maps? Ich habe das GeoCache Programm auch drauf.
Bei mir sind die Programme unter Speicherkarte/Programme installiert.

wow der tipp mit den zusätzlichen ländereinstellungen hat fast alle probleme gelöst.

zu GCzII:
Speicherort ist genau wie bei dir. Du machst einen geocash auf und siehst dann acht buttons, der zweite von oben rechts ist für die Google Map und geht immer noch nicht, leider. Es kommt die oben beschriebene fehlermeldung mit falschem Pfad. Hab das proggi neu installiert, geht trotzdem nicht. Alles andere funzt jetzt, Vielen Dank Dir... :)

Falls du dazu noch ne Lösung weist, immer her damit...

Geh im Hauptmenü unten rechts auf Menü. Dann auf Optionen. Dort eine Seite runter auf Google Maps Settings. UNd dort kannst du dann den Pfad ändern.

EDIT: Mein Problem lässt sich wohl mit einem Programm update beheben

because for a person who i know i´m going to search for him/her over my contacts
and if i tiping a new number i want that its fast, but with this function after every character of the new number the phone stucks, because it´s searching my contacts for an equal number....

and if i tip to faster the number is wrong

for example i want to dial a new number 1234567

if i tip it too fast the number could be
1357
because the character 2,4,6 weren´t recognised as inputs because the phone was busy with the searching thing.....

my phone do not have that problem. maybe you have too many contact or you're running multiple application at the same time. xD
try close all the application and try again.

I think many of you using 3LIT3 VIII rom in a Polaris (Italian full rom) will suffer, late or soon, some trouble with keyboard.

It happened to me (and to my mother phone) suddendly the usual keyboard skin disappeared and an unuseable skin similar to a keypad took her place...in a definitely manner!!! :mad: This problem persist even after a soft-reset and unfortunately the only way to fix it is to make an hard-reset...but soon or later it will present again!!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

So I tried to re-install many fix or other thing....until I found this solution: :D

install this version of QVGA EzInput that I found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426281):

Pre-install:
It may be necessary (it wasn't to me but...) to close a running process before installing the QVGA Ezinput (version for NO KEYBOARD device). In this case you may need a software to kill running tasks (you can use this (http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm) one is free and very useful) ..follow the instruction written there...or write me if you need help.

Install:
1) Download QVGA NO KEYBOARD and then QVGA ITALIAN keyboard.
2) Install the program, do not reset, install the Italian keyboard, then soft reset...
3) Download and install the PATCH for having ABC or T9 keyboard set as DEFAULT (I prefer ABC!!!!)

When I want to launch it on manila, it won't open.

I've tried to use the Fix, put all my audio filesin just one folder, try to download another Audio manager (HTC Audio Manager 2.0.1819.3326), but nothing works.

I downloaded the CustomRUU and the 1.59.46.12 radio version.

When I click on "update the current ROM version" it says:

Anyone got USB Mass Storage working yet?
can't find a solution it keeps saying "This feature needs a memory card in your device. " etc. And the "ask me first about USB connection thing doesn't ask anything either.

thats not the issue, im just curious why its not working i mean the default roms had it working iirc. im gonna dig a little and see what i can find to fix this.

ok here's what i found so far, HLKM\Drivers\USB\FunctionDrivers is missing a key for "Mass_Storage_Class" as well as the driver associated with it in the Windows Driectory (usbmsfn.dll). Can anyone check if they have them? ill try to get a cab to fix it if someone can provide me with the driver + reg file from any working setup. Other devices may work too.

Hello. I have installed this rom and i can say it is the best so far. I only have one problem. If i start the camera (it doesnt work at all - it only shows black image), my phone looses the sound: i can't hear or speak incall, i can't listen to music, and i have to reboot. Is there any fix for my problem? Please help me.

I have found the problem, but i can't find the radio rom. 1.59.44.02 is the fix. Does anyone have an working link?

I am trying now to update the version of manilla from 1.2 (the stock one in this rom) to a later one like 2.1 or better. Did someone managed to change it? I read the topics and everyone said that it is better to change the complete rom to one who has manilla integrated.

I'm happy you solve the problem. In truth I won't recommend any further update if the phone is working pretty well as it is, while updating manila can lead to an over-usage of memory (that is at the limit already).
Consider buying a new (android) phone (htc desire, in example) to really enjoy full multimedia functionality on phones.
