Hi.
I sometimes need to use my Dash in a dark place, and I use "Light Config," that was included in WM6.1, to reduce the Dash's light.

However, whenever I watch videos with TCPMP player, the bright light comes back. It gets really annoying.

Is there any other free video software that doesn't conflict with "Light Config?" Or any way to solve this problem?

Thank you.

Or is there any other backlight adjusting software?

I don't think this is an issue with Light Config; it's really a function of the way TCPMP attempts to keep the screen from shutting off by default during playback.

Try this:
1. Under TCPMP, go to Options > Settings
2. Click Select Page > Advanced
3. Check "No backlight keepalive for video"

Videos should now play with the darker "Light Config" setting. The side effect is that you will need to occasionally tap a key to prevent the screen from shutting off.
