cant get 3 sim recognised

Iv got an SPV M1000 which I unlocked from Orange successfully, iv used it on T-Mobile and O2 with no problems, I now want to use it with 3 for thier mbile broadband deal, and it wont have it the PDA boots, but when I got to phone it says "Invalid or missing SIM card, you can still make emergency calls if your provider supports it"anyone know how I can make my PDA work with 3?

sorry it's been reported that 3 lock their sims from being used in non 3g phones
most likely to avoid people not using the online services they make money on
