Hi guys,
just my 2 cents for all the french guys that are here.
If by any chance you want to keep your number AND the operator (for different reasons) you can use the following LEGAL method to do it.
Before the end of your contract with the first operator, ask for your RIO (Releve d'identite operateur)
Buy a non binding contract at one other operator and use the RIO code. They will give you a date when the change will be effective.
The following day you ask the RIO from your new operator.
You go in the phone shop of your choice and buy the new phone, at a reduced price, keeping phone number and operator.
Tried it today and it worked. Of course SFR was a bit pissed when I said the day after the effective change I wanted my RIO, but that's business... The HD was too tempting (the 400€ discount also I have to say)
