Me and my wife went to wet market this morning to buy something for tonight's dinner. After we bought everything I saw this "very" old woman crying and begging for help outside the market. She said "Maawa na kayo sa matanda, palimos po, hindi pa ako kumakain!" ("Please take pitty on this old woman, I am begging you, I haven't eaten anything yet!"). I got teary eyed seeing this old woman (thingking she's my grandama) begging for a penny so she can buy something to eat. I told my wife to buy some food so we can give it to the old woman. We did and I handed it to this old lady. I saw happiness in her eyes when I handed her a box of Dunkin Donuts, 1 big cup of Orange juice and 2 orders of rice (2 cups of cooked rice) with 1 order of viand (adobong baboy...Filipino pork dish). We went home with happiness in our heart. I hope our goverment will be more keen in helping this kind of people. :(

I acclaim you for this act of kindness. Just pitiful to see how so many places waste food when it can be given away to the needy. If you return something to McDonalds or any other restraunt because it doesn't "satisfty" your needs, they don't even think twice about what to do with the food; they simply open that trash can and say good bye.

Thank you. It breaks my heart seeing this kind of people, specially old ones which reminds me my loving Grandpa and Grandma...By the way, I did not post this just to let the world know that I helped somebody, I did this just to send out a message to everyone to help the one who is in need . And also, I took that picture secretly using a camera phone. I stood beside the old lady and discreetly took a picture of her.
You should see this video (http://www.gmanews.tv/video/22416/Imbestigador-A-high-class-food-called-%27Conti%27). Just the same with McDo, most of the restaurants here do the same thing.

its sad how some countrys governments or who ever is in power how they let this sort of thing happen in this day and age. and whats a penny to most of use its pocket change that you probably but in a tin because you dont want your pockets full of crap. but the big question is what could we do to help this sort of thing ? i bet if you gave her a job she would be one of the hardest workers there.

honestly, indonesian beggar are worst than that,.

almost in every trafic light, we will always see one or two, very old beggar,.

Goverment, is a goverment, we cant tell something to them,.

but, i think we could do a better with our heart,.

We could give money or something that make them survive, just like what red_hanks did,.
