Cannot connect

I flashed the firmware on my Diamond with this one. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=438313)

It installed without any errors or anything like that. It works. The problem is connecting the phone to my PC again. When I plug in the USB cable, my phone says this:
"Cannot open the connection "57600 Default". This connection is no longer valid or does not exist. Select a different connection and try again."

How did you flash this rom onto your device if it can't connect to the pc(activesync)? Or did this start after the upgrade? Try to delete the current partnership you have for activesync and try with a new one.

I can't believe this.
I just plugged it in and out a couple of (dozens of) times... and it works now. WTF?
