Hi all!

I used to have an Eten Glofiish x800. On this smartphone, I was running Cartoexplorer in order to record my travel using the GPS. The GPS was active even in sleeping mode.

I now have a HTC Touch HD and each time I switch to sleeping mode (upper button), the GPS desactivates. I can't record my travel.

Do you have any idea to solve this problem? can we change a registry key in order to keep the GPS on?

Thank you for your help!

As far as I know, the only thing you can do to keep the GPS on in ur device is to use a power manager found on here and only shut off the screen. if anyone else has another idea, i too would be glad to know.

Hey fellow Glofiish person. I have the M800, as well as the (HTC)TyTn II-so I know how different they are. You're correct-the Eten NEVER actually powers-off (unless/until the battery dies.).. which kind-of honks me off. The HTC, on the other hand, HAS a true 'power-down'/off button. (Please, I mean no offense by this)- When you say 'sleeping mode', do you mean pushing the top right button JUST long enough to turn off the screen, or are you holding it down to where you get the "Power will be turned off, save your data, blah blah blah?" 'Cause, if you just turn off the SCREEN, the GPS WILL still be running...& you should be all good. ;)

what are you using to trace the route?
I used MyMotion and it keeps your device active while the gps is active.
