im using the 1.3.4 and everytime i go to the align screen the whole phone freezing on me

There's no kitchen for the beta ROM, but you can uninstall googlemaps from Start -> Settings -> System -> Remove Programs.

There are many reasons why I would recommend against using the build that Quicksmage is doing, but since I don't know what he is trying to accomplish with his changes, I don't really know what to recommend for him instead.

If anything is freeing up memory, it's his unselecting Enterprise + IPSECVPN, Internet Sharing, SqlCeMobile, nueLED, and it's possible that HTC Startup Animation also effects memory at boot.

im loving 1.4 beta 2 (now that I reflashed and it fixed my sound issue)...
other than that I do not see any issues..

You need to kill ftouchflo.exe that is running. There are a couple of ways you can do that. If you have dotfred's task manager installed, then you can find that running program and close it.

I have an OEM version of FTouchflo that has a config that runs under, Start, Settings, Personal. The config program can enable/disable the program.

I just did fresh install of 1.4b2 (installed carrier cab and setup my exchange sever) After several restarts best i ever get on reboot is 70% wait 5 minutes without touching a botton it seems to stay around 76 to 78.

actually i only had problems with the taskmanager on the previous rom haha. I accidentally posted in the wrong thread. Thanks for all your work on keeping this rom updated!
Anyways, if you have the time would you explain what enterprise and sqlmobile does or what problems that could arise with them disabled? If you're busy that's fine. I'm honestly just fiddling with the rom to get it to what i need to do haha. It's fun flashing 10 times a day :D

Edit: Also, I noticed that your M2D Mark was crashing my buildos. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem. That's why I switched over to M2D Scott. I'm on windows 7 if it makes any difference.

ok so my son just hit a key and deleted my huge post...

just as i was uninstalling apps I also deleted unneeded slide sounds and other items like themes and stuff i dont need..
i noticed cab files in the windows directory that you cant delete because they are in rom.... would there be a way to flash without them, install them via micro sd to keep them out of the windows directory? is that what a kitchen would do? im just trying to learn this stuff...

uninstalling programs wont help your ram at boot unless they run at boot or call functions of other things at boot.
edit: Oooh, i tried it with enterprise and sqlmobile and i was still able to maintain a 48%-50% on boot ram usage

I mentioned this a quite a few posts back, that I'm thinking of doing a ROM that removes this for those that don't use it. Maybe I'll actually write an control panel app or something. Basically it's started with the notification system. You can disable it from restarting by removing the item from the notification db, but it has to be removed from the one in the ROM to remain removed after reboot.

That's the number that people can use to hack into your phone if you give it out.

Just kidding. Mine has lots of numbers when booting that aren't the ROM version. I don't know what the numbers all mean, but I doubt that your phone says ROM version 3.3.3.

Note that by default users of TitanReloaded don't need to do this. Only if they install ftouchflo. In fact, you may need to disable touchflo on tons of applications that it breaks.

Enterprise + IPSECVPN seemed kind of obvious to me. You don't need it if you're not an enterprise user that requires IPSEC VPN support. This also includes L2TP VPN and secure card support. SQLCeMobile is the SQL server part part of the .NET environment. If none of the applications that you use requires this, you can remove it.

Manila_2D_Mark was not crashing your Build OS. More than likely if you replace the Scott one with Mark one you'll see that it still doesn't crash. You were likely trying to select two M2D installs at the same time. Then you selected only one M2D install and replaced the Mark one with the Scott one and thought that the replacement is what fixed the issue, when it was only selecting one M2D install that fixed it. I can only guess though, as you don't say what you did or what error you got when it "crashed". The Manila_2D_Mark package with the Manila_2D_Mark.CAB is far more optimized than Scott's version, and it also fixes bugs, including task manager bugs. Have fun fiddling, but I unfortunatley don't have time to tell you all the things that you've done that are going in the wrong direction.

Office doesn't use any memory, only space, except when you actually run it. I don't feel it's worth removing files from \Windows in small quantities, regardless of their size. If you're concerned about memory, don't run M2D. :) Seriously, that's the biggest hog in this ROM. After that, the camera and the ezinput keyboard. The other little things that are left in just in case people use them, take up very little memory.

If you want though, you can go through all of the OEMs in the kitchen. Basically if the RGU file creates a service, loads a driver, or starts a process at startup, it would free up memory by removing it. Otherwise, it's just freeing up space, of which we seem to have plenty.

Once you figure out what all you want to disable, then modfiy the kitchen or make your own OEM or CAB with your registry tweeks.

It's likely impossible. I tried to get the 6.11.33506.0 camera from the Iolite, which is a QVGA device like ours to work, and that's mostly what delayed me getting the new footprints M2D out, as I really wanted to get that camera in the ROM since it was calling some geo/gps stuff. I tried with the new driver, with the old driver, with the old cif.dll with the new cif.dll, tried changing the registry so that the camera thought it only supported our resolution modes, everything I could think of. I had to determine it wasn't compatible with our hardware. The camera you linked to isn't even from a QVGA device.

Does anyone know how i can disable the T9 shortcut? I want to be able to use the Fn+Space key to change symbols but everytime i go to settings, uncheck everything, it still comes up. Any way to remove it?

I don't know if my recent issue is related to this ROM at all, it may just be that I need a new battery because I have no idea how OLD mine is but I wanted to post it just in case! LOL

Twice in the last 9 days my phone has seemed to shut off and it will not power back up. The first time it happened I thought maybe an app was running I didn't know about and killed the battery, so I plugged it in to charge. When I plugged it in the light on the top of my Titan showed solid red. I didn't know any better so I just let it sit there for a few hours thinking that meant it was REALLY dead and needed to charge. After a few hours it was still red and would not power up. I re-seated the battery and it powered up fine and had about 90% battery life. I am not sure what happened, but it was an easy fix. This happened to me twice and it has not happened with any other ROM I have used. Just wanted to let people know about it and if it happens to you, simply remove and re-seat your battery and you will be all good!

i googled htc audio booster... found a .cab... installed it now the app launches and doesnt complain that headphones arent plugged in... :D

but I cant check off eq... i can click eq and then choose rock or country... and use sliders but they dont stay... wonder if your .cab is bad?

Great ROM! The M2D interface looks great and works well for me.

I had a problem with my mogul getting locked up doing an installation. To get out of it, I had to do a soft reset. When the mogul booted back up, it reran the customization and then I saw that the programs I installed were gone. I experimented with repeating the bootloader process and each time I get the same lock up problem, but not with the same app installation. I even tried regenerating the ROM with the pre-checked selections in the kitchen. Still have this same problem. I was able to get around it by installing all apps to my storage card.

Later, I experimented with unchecking some selections in the kitchen and trying with new ROM builds. I stumbled across something that caused this problem to go away, and that is to deselect the nueUSB app.

Don't know why this made the problem go away, but I thought I'd share this observation. I vaguely remember reading an earlier posting where someone else had a similar problem.

I have not found any skins -- other than the one that is initially installed with Reloaded -- that works with the two line calendar. Is there a setting in the various skins out there that defines that or do I need skins that are specific to that version?

Idk if mine has anything to do with this, however, my phone permanently locked up and I couldn't get it to start up again. It happened after I tried to beam a file over to another friend's 6800. 10 minutes later the phone would not come out of sleep mode. I took out the battery, tried to charge the batter, even tried to hard reset and couldn't even do that! It would once in a while go intohard reset mode when i tried, but it'd lock up and freeze, and now it wont even turn on what so ever. So, I had to replace it, and am still waiting for the new one to arrive. Im not sure if this has anything to do with the battery but its fried. :(

Hadn't even noticed the virtual keyboard lagging. Do you mean the diamond keyboard on 1.3.4 or the standard one on 1.4 beta? Does this disable T9 from working?

I have a storage card, so yours might be different. By default mine go into \Storage Card\DCIM\100MEDIA. You probably already found them though.

I have a 6.8 camera from the Jade. I don't know why I didn't think to try that, but since the old Opal/Jade camera worked on our device, I bet it would too. Only thing is, there's still no flash on these devices.

I hadn't tested changing skins on 1.4 beta at all. I would be surprised if any of the old skins worked flawlessly.

you had what I had earlier. For some reason installing the same rom did not help me. What you should try is downloading another rom and flashing it, then flash back to this one. I don't know why, but there are some problems of bugs carrying over when you install the same rom on top of itself. At least, this is what I have noticed. When it happened to me, I would go to sleep with a 100% phone and wake up with 15% one. Hope my info helps you.

I don't believe that my Mogul's flash memory went bad because I can restore the original bootloader and sprint/htc rom, and do installs to internal flash memory without the above problems.

I've got a stock Mogul with 64MB RAM and did successfully get the neuSPL 1.4.7 bootloader installed.


On another note: in the manilla 2d interface, the tab icons at the bottom now do not all show up. I can still tap on where the icons should be and the respective tab page does show up. The launcher icon does display, but it shows multiple copies of the icon, each off shifted by several pixels.

There are so many ways to backup contacts now, but I think that manually backing up the pim files seems crazy. You might want to check out the new myphone from Microsoft (http://myphone.microsoft.com). I personally use the method in the instructions. .

I've had this problem as well a few times. The instability is most likely a bad flash. Reflashing the same rom DID NOT fix it for me. I would suggest flashing to another rom on this forum, and then reinstall this one. It took me a while, but right now I've got a very stable rom on my hands.

It must be I guess. Cuz I tried to re-seat the battery like Magislayer did, and it would power up SOMETIMES. Then as soon as I unplugged the cable from the phone, it freezes locks up, and when I try to soft reset... doesn't start. Idk what it is, I'l probably reinstall Titan Reloaded with my new phone, it probably was just a hardware thing. Very weird.

I knew I shouldnt have flashed this. I Had DCD 3.3.4 all set up working fine, and I just HAD to go and try the new thing. This rebooted after the ROM update reached 100%, but doesn't go past the Verizon startup screen.

Now, also, the phone will not charge while completely powered off, even though it did before when I was on DCD. Basically this means that since my battery was already low, I will not have enough juice to flash it using the SD card method. This means that my phone is a BRICK now.

HMMMM.... how about going to Verizon store and asking them to charge you your battery? ... they would do it for you

Why blame the rom? There is nothing wrong with this rom and it does charge when it is off. Maybe it was a bad flash due to a low battery. Get a charged battery and if it does not go past splash screen then enter bootloader and reflash. And if you can't use usb then flash sd and all should be good.

I knew I shouldnt have flashed this. I Had DCD 3.3.4 all set up working fine, and I just HAD to go and try the new thing. This rebooted after the ROM update reached 100%, but doesn't go past the Verizon startup screen.

Buy another battery. I thought everyone had more than one for this reason; the new one should have enough charge to get a flash out of it.

Also, try taking out the battery and put it back in then charging. It sometimes fools the phone for long enough to get it charging again.

I installed 1.3.4 about a week ago and experienced several post installation issues UNTIL I made myself go back and read again.

THE HARD RESET DIRECTLY AFTER INSTALLATION made all of the difference.

I was resetting, but not hard resetting. I experienced many of the issues in this thread until I did the flash and then the hard reset.

I've had one freeze (couldn't bring up the start menu or anything) but haven't been able to replicate it or figure out what caused it. Have had perfect data retention and sync ability all week.

Has anyone else experienced an issue with the HTC Audio starting to play music after ending a phone call? I've had a couple of instances where this has randomly happened, but again, I can't nail it down to a specific set of circumstances yet.

Is there a way to move the VM notification down to the main screen with the missed calls?

Also, I don't use a mobile data plan (I only use WIFI when I can hit a free spot) and am curious if I do set up the weather page on the M2DC and leave it set for automatic updates, will it contantly try hitting my non-existent Verizon data connection (for which I've deleted the connection info as a precaution) or will it only attempt updates when I turn on my wifi and connect manually?

Maybe someone can answer this question. But I can tell you this. ON the 1.4b2, if you recieve voice mail, it will add voicemail under the missed call text on home screen. I Like this a whole lot better. I am running 1.3.4 also on another phone and yes it would be neat for this on it as well. It may be a 2dmanilla thing which is upgraded in the beta version. Definititly an improvement.

You should be able to test this. Should get a message unable to connect, and how many times you get that message is how often it tries to update.
But with your circumstances the manual update would probably be best anyway.

There are some reports on this issue. During a call I can and have always been able to use the wheel to increase or decrease vol. But I cannot use it to increase vol during music playback. Allthough some have reported they can.

yes I did; when I use the scroll wheel the volume thing comes up but it doesn't adjust the call volume, just the ringer and system volumes.

I do know that this is an issue with some and don't know why. Some things don't make sense do they. Maybe bitserve can use this info for his final 1.4

Are the people having the issues with not being able to change the call volume using the Opel volume control? When using this one the volume knob only affects the system or ringer volumes. I found a Opel volume control clone that does not replace the entire volume system so the issue is gone. The only problem with that one is that you have to start it from a shortcut rather than by clicking on the volume icon at the top of the screen.

I installed the new ROM and it works OK. However, as soon as I install Live Hotmail so I can get my e-mail working again, then restart the phone it suddenly runs through the reinstall sequence: it starts the "customizing" stuff (blowing away anything I've installed, my contacts, etc).

I really like the new interface but it's useless if I can't get my e-mail through Live. Is there some other version of Live Hotmail I should install besides the one available from the Microsoft site?

(It's possible it has nothing to do with Live Hotmail, however I've run through the reinstall at least a dozen times tonight and that seems to be the trigger)

Have to ask if you did hard reset?
Flash rom and while the titan reload splash come up do a hard reset. Then let the customizations run complete.
Try flashing the beta it is really not bad.
I have live hotmail also from microsoft and is working fine.

Did you check the nueLED settings? It is usually pretty good, but I've had it go out of whack at times. Maybe try disabling the LEDs, softreset, then re-enabling the LEDs and then softresetting again. Maybe it is a different indication that is blinking...

That's in the new versions of M2D. TitanReloaded 1.3.4 still has the old version, but this feature is in the 1.4 beta.

I believe it downloads updates every 2 hours if you have the weather tab enabled. If you don't have data, you might remove the weather tab, but I doubt that an attempted connection every two hours is going to drain your battery noticeably?

I actually had this happen twice in a row recently. To temporarily clear the notification signal, you can go to Start -> Settings -> Sounds & Notifications, click on Notifications tab, don't change anything and click on OK to close.

I dont have a data plan either... and i did it simpler... before I flashed my mogul with a custom rom... my phone kept on trying to go out to dial #777 so I called sprint... they disabled data feature on their end so I dont get nailed for minutes or data plan that I dont have....

then I flashed and the dialing went away....even if I deleted the connection it still would come back.....

I said previously that I had issues with bluetooth connectivity in my Prius. I reflashed the stock rom, then reflashed 1.3.4 and everything works great!

So all of the flashing various roms and radios must have degraded my bluetooth radio to a point where my Prius didn't like it. A fresh start fixed everything!

So I was wrong on that too! In reality, I had enabled Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service Power Save via the AdvancedConfiguration application. My car would connect and then disconnect quickly. Once I disabled power save mode, I no longer have any issues with any of the custom roms or stock roms! argh! Its been a frustrating search for the problem!

Until Bitserve can find the file that he needs I found a cab for boot up audio and renamed his sound file so that it will play during bootup.

tests are complete.... at least for my phone...

radio 3.42.02 (think it was) took 3 minutes and i had 0 satellites... seems that it was taking about 10-15 minutes lately...

went back to
radio 3.42.50 and now connect in 20 seconds... granted maybe it started to pickup with the old rom and that helped? not sure but I will test on my way to work....

today it took 10 minutes to get 2 satellites then another 3 to get 5 of 6 sats....

same test tomorrow.....

To be honest I don't remember what the PRI controls but when Telus came out with their official WM6.1 ROM it included a PRI update. Unfortunately for me this PRI update removed the aGPS servers from my configuration so aGPS didn't work and since GPS on our phones depends so heavily on aGPS, GPS wouldn't work. I managed to revert the PRI to the older version using some stuff in a Sprint ROM which restored my aGPS server settings and GPS worked again. I couldn't just do the aGPS fix because I didn't know Telus' aGPS server information at the time.

However, as of yesterday I reinstalled the official Telus ROM to get the updated PRI (2.07 instead of 1.15) and did the aGPS fix (got the Telus aGPS server info through Google which sent me to Howard Forums) and it works just as well as it did before installing the update. I guess I need to update my signature.

If you're having GPS problems you probably just need to do the aGPS fix unless you've done that already. Keep in mind that if you previously had a MR1 or MR2 ROM installed you must install an official ROM that came before those ROMs to get aGPS working properly again.

Here's the version I use along with a configuration cab. Works great for me. Way better than the built in one that comes with the newer WM builds because I can customize which apps I want it to work in and it applies to all applications rather than just the MS ones.

No problem. And if you ever want to backup your exceptions and configuration there is a file in the touchflo program folder that you can just backup somewhere. I threw mine into the drop just for the heck of it. I turned off all the gesture application shortcuts and just have a few applications that I found don't play well with FTouchFlo in the exceptions list.

My downloads are now slow... VERY SLOW..

It now says Connected to Sprint PCS dial up.

I used the carrier CAB and everything. Also, the scroll bars are rather buggy.. Its not responsive at times.

Then have a look under your data connections there and see if it is defaulting to 1X or EVDO.

Yeah, you can install M2D as a cab - check in the Development and Hacking section, there is a huge thread. I've never had good luck with it though, never seems to function right when I install as a CAB on a stock rom.

Also check and make sure under phone settings\services\mode of operation has hybrid or evdo selected.

Thought I'd post my experiences loading this ROM (1.3.4) for anyone who's still having difficulty (maybe I can save someone some time):

It's been somewhat of a nightmare trying to install this ROM and make it work correctly. As some have also experienced, I get random freeze-ups constantly. After resetting after one of these freeze-ups, the device basically flashes itself again and I lose everything.
After 2 or 3 solid days of experimenting, I'm still not positive that I've isolated the problem and I feel like I'm still using an unreliable device (I'm just waaaaiting for it to crash again). Time will tell!

I will say that I'm having trouble with SPB Online. Loading that app and restarting has adverse affects for some reason. Also, SPB backup isn't working with this ROM (no idea why). It just refuses to start backing up.

I can say this: Don't flash the same ROM overtop of the same ROM. I agree with what another poster said; for some reason this can cause issues. Instead, flash some other ROM (and let the device boot up) before flashing the one you want. And even after flashing, do a hard reset. Always!

I've been flashing my p4000 for months (started with PPCKitchen variations, went to DCD's ver. 3.x, now I'm here) and I haven't had as much trouble with any of them as I have this ROM.

I'd LOVE to get it to work, however. Hopefully I will - thanks Bitserve for your hard work!

EDIT: SPB Backup v2.0+ seems to work. Had to upgrade from v1.x to make it work with this ROM.

The connections saying dial up does not make a difference. Mine is also says dial up but have a download of 4.44mbps.
What carrier cab r u installing?
Also check and make sure under phone settings\services\mode of operation has hybrid or evdo selected.

Yeah that should do it. I don't have Manila on my device since it doesn't suit my needs so I didn't have Manila in my exclude list. I was just looking back on that list and I can't even remember what a few of the items listed are :P

I've been running 1.3.3 for about a month now and it's been very stable for me. I've had 2 seemingly random reboots in that period but that's it. The phone's always on and really only gets reset when I do a Verizon roaming update.(*228) I use Tomtom gps and get locks in about a minute with no primer software. I'm using radio 3.42.50. I'm just posting this as an fyi for anyone thinking of changing versions.

You need the 2.40 or 2.47 bootloader. You should've installed one of those. Install an old ROM version (a pre-GPS ROM) to be able to get into Windows. Then install 2.47. You will need an SD card that is 2GB or less.

Thanks for the reply i just came back to say i have done it im sure it wasnt the properway but by fumbling along i was able to make my phone word basicaly what happened was i noticed tht my phone wouldnt restart as long as it was connected byt USB to my comp so while it was connected i found olipro2.40 spl which upgrades the SPL via USB which i happily did and as soon as i it restarted i also installed the sprint carrier setting cab . Im pretty sure it was the SPL upgrade that fixed it but nevertheless its working no no random resets so im happy, that is until i want to flash a new rom again( i have the addiction from my htc wizard days i loved checking out newer roms but lucky we didnt have such a messy process like the titans)

When I first loaded this I was able to customize the Manilla 2d but after a while if I change a few settings and hit apply it will lock up on that and if I do a soft reset the manilla 2d never loads. I can try and access the manilla customizer but will continue to lock up when I hit apply. Is there any way to fix that besides doing a hard reset(since ive dont this twice already)

1.) someone mentioned they had poor english but stated in their post that the sliding sounds control was missing from the latest rev. Where can I get the exe? I can't seem to find a valid link to download one.

2.) Is there a way to show upcoming calendar events on the home screen? this was an option with the normal interface and seeing how I use my phone for business purposes I find it annoying that I need to start my calendar to actually see what appts I have coming up.

Otherwise, this rom has been great so far. The responsiveness is much better. takes a bit of getting use to some of the features but great job to all that contributed.

I had the same problem, but changing themes didn't fix it for me. However, setting up the email account to only download text and not HTML fixed my problem. I assume that touchflo has a problem presenting the email preview when the email is HTML. Just my 2 cents.

Yes there have been multiple issues with this happenning for people on 1.3.4 It even happened to me and don't know why. I went to the 1.4b2 and had no problems. I had one phone that ran 1.3.4 with no issues at all.

I'm running 1.4b2 and have aGPS working. If you search you'll find more explanation. For Verizon it's a downgrade-to-stock-rom, then upgrade process... This process may be diff for your carrier so search around the aGPS threads:

1) run Nue SPL-relocker
2) Flash back to Stock 2.09 Verizon (pre-GPS) ROM (w/ radio included), let customizations run
3) run NueSPL 2.47 unlocker
4) Flash to Radio 3.42.50 (stock verizon rom won't boot w/ this radio so i now copy Titan Reloaded 1.4b2 .nbh file to root of SD card and re-name.
5) Flash to Titan Reloaded 1.4b2
6) Install Verizon carrier cab
7) Run QPST and apply settings using tutorial and the Telus settings
8) Install the Telus aGPS fix cab
9) Dial *22899 to program (Verizon)
10) Call Verizon to reset A-Key (now full authenticated to network, voice/data working)

GPS is now working at this point. I install GPSviewer and I get locks in seconds !!

Of course, I take no credit for this process, as it's been the compilation of lots of hard work by many of the other members.. I'm just a messenger :)

I wouldn't say one is better than the other, the higher number build is a newer release. Keeps making changes to get things smoother. There will soon be another 21210. I would go with the 21202 ... 1.0 is there but 1.1 will be soon.

Has standard keyboard, but I bet the EJ one will work. I don't know though.

Okay, I just installed the beta version. The fonts and everything are so TINY. I assume that I can make the fonts bigger using the NUE fonts thing but how about the scrollbars?

I've been out of the loop for awhile since my Wizard died probably almost a year ago. I noticed touchflo in the settings. Doesn't that allow finger scrolling? What applications (besides M2D) support it? I seem to recall one ROM on my Wizard supporting it in, for instance, Internet Explorer but this one doesn't.

Sorry if this has been posted, but I almost removed the Beta rom due to two issues that were driving me crazy.
First the lack of InCall Volume adjustment ability with the Opal Volume Control. Took me over an hour to find this CAB that removes the Opal Volume and restores the WM volume control..

If you need a finger friendly volume control, try SETVOLUME. Looks like a good app that you can assign a hardware button to if you want. I havent tested it yet, but it looks nice.

Second I thought there was a bug with the LED notification not reseting after opening up a new text, or dismissing a missed call or voice mail. There have been a couple of posts regarding this in this thread, but I found that hitting the Red End Call key resets the notification. Probably obvious to some, but took me a couple of days to figure out.

I have a question i dont think its related to this rom but since its the one im currently using i thought i might ask it here. Anyway my previous phone was a htc Wizard which by itself was a nice phone and one of the best things i liked about it was that on the right hand side was the communications manager button which if u pressed and held it would set the ringer to vibrate and if it was on vibrate mode would change it back to normal.

My question is does the titan have anything like that ? If not any ideas how to get that kind of function ( i hate playing with the screen to change the volume to mute and back which i unfortunately have to do alot) .

When I look in the OEM folder it is not there.
This is not something that you check if you want it or not, it was included in the system. 6.5
All of the 6.5 builds 21198 and up have it in them.
We know it will work on 6.1 because nuerom has it in his 6.1 roms.
I will investigate this further tonite when I get home from work.

I have had to go into the USB to PC application under the settings / connections and select or deselect the Enable Advanced Network Functionality to switch back and forth from being able to active sync and get a data connection through the USB and use the phone like my modem for use away from home. When unselected, I am able to see the folders and memory through the USB. This is on an XP Pro machine.

Makes it a real pain. I though I had a previous install of someone elses that didn't require me to do this, but can't remember which one.

I've been using this ROM for 2 or 3 months now and had great luck. I just decided to spring for a data plan thru Verizon. The mobile browser on the phone works fine, but I have not been able to accomplish a tether to my laptop- which was my main reason for getting the data plan.

When doing the install with VZW, apparently I am looking for a program called Modem Link, that tells the phone to switch into modem mode and works with the VZAccess on the laptop. This doesn't appear in my programs or in the kitchen (that I can tell).

I tried toggling between Advanced Network Functionality as mentioned in this earlier message, but had no luck with that. Can someone help me? I'm hitting the road tomorrow to a meeting that I was hoping to have this operational for. Thanks in advance!

I may have figured this out for myself. I spotted the Internet Sharing program in the programs list, selected it, and then tapped on Connect. You can. I uses that Internet Sharing program frequently. I only have the Verizon Data Plan and have never used that tether option from verizon or the vz access program so go ahead and uninstall it and call Verizon to save yourself 15 bucks a month. Hope this answers your question.

For some reason whenever I flash a M2D rom on my Titan (verizon xv6800) everthing works beautifully until I try to make a call. When I do, i get no sound whatsoever, in coming sound or out going sound. After I press a button on the dialer like "speaker phone" or "#password#" to get to my vmail it soft resets itself. I had to put it back on DCD's 2.3.2 so that it would work. I did try looking at as many settings as I could think of, and I did install two versions of DCD's verizon cabs (for the titan reloaded rom). I don't think it has anything to do with the carrier cabs because Ryans rom did the same thing. Does anyone have a direction to point me in? I don't have the phone with me atm, but i think the radio is a 3.4 something.

05/15/09 Multi-Carrier (Heavy) Titan ROMs WM6.1 - and didnt work out great..

so since i have to flash back... trying the 1.3.4 kitchen.. .if I dont like it.. .will go back to the 1.4 beta 2....

from dcd 1.4.2 to ryan mogul light and heavy roms but im back... stuck on this beta rom...

however i am running spb mobile shell 3 on it..

so i have some memory numbers and % so thought id post them for people wanting to compair...

17.58 - 63% - fresh flash and sitting at touch flo screen
22.93 - 52% - removed email, footprints and sttings tab from tflo
22.43 - 53% - Apply Marks theme and deleted all others
22.16 - 53% - Running SPB Mobile Shell 3 and PIM restored
19.04 - 60% - S2U, S2P and Sliding sounds
18.62 - 61% - All loaded up with all my app installed
12mb - 76% - S2p and Garmin running

Same here. Been on it for quite some time now and love it. I do wish there would be some updates, but overall it's the best rom I've used. Any of you guys appearance any slowdowns or random crashes over time? My only gripe is that I have to soft-reset the phone before every time I try to use GPS.. for some reason after putting the phone to sleep, the GPS doesn't work right. :confused:

I've never come across this with any other ROMs but when I'm in RSSHub, the scroll wheel causes the font size to change instead of scroll the page. This also happens when clicking up or down on the D-Pad. Any ideas why this is happening or how to fix the problem?

Funny, all the kitchens I've downloaded cleared antivirus. Just about a month ago Norton recognized Build OS as being a Trojan Horse. Not sure what that is about.
