Hi all, I know this is a well-discussed issue, but for the life of me I cannot figure what's wrong here.

- Have wizard with wm6 (TNT edition)
- Have macbook pro running latest Leopard.

Want to tether between; use Edge connection on the macbook. Everything works except for one thing... the actual internet connection on the macbook <sigh>

Internet Sharing : ENABLED
Bluetooth PAN connection : CONNECTED
Device browser : Internet works
Macbook browser : No Internet

The OS X network diagnostics say that all is well (all green lights), yet no internet. Proxy is disabled on the macbook.

The only thing that stands out is that the Bluetooth PAN is always using / giving a private IP address (169.254...) and the search domain is strangely set to a network that I do not have access to before (but only then connected via wifi using DHCP); it is in a different country, yet showing up here! The search domain entry is greyed but always there (cannot delete) in the DNS entry for the connection. Never seen anything like that; not sure if it's the macbook or the device that is causing this, or even if this is the cause of no internet via PAN on the macbook.

Have read many many posts for days now and still not making heads or tails of why this failing.

Any advice, tips, hints, nudges appreciated! Want to surf via unlimited GPRS data account!

Ended up getting this to work after noticing the bluetooth PAN IP was defaulting to some wacky numbers, so did the following on the device:

- IP; entered manual IP address in the Bluetooth PAN device settings under Wifi -> Network Adapters (weird place for what is not Wifi, but it's Microsoft so no surprise).
- Submask; entered default submask (it auto fills for this)
- Router; entered the IP of the Remote-NDIS Host device (also in Network Adapters) which is apparently what the GPRS stack uses (had to go trial and error to find out).

After that, it works like a treat! Yah for unlimited data plan! But boo for dial up speed! :(

Hope this helps someone down the line.
