Losing signal problem - new Touch Diamond phone - need to reboot.

Anyone else get this?

It seems my phone randomly seems to lose the signal. If I reboot, it works OK then.

Extremely annoying because I've got to keep checking if theres a signal.

With Orange in the UK. ROM version is 1.37.405.1 WWE dated 6/12/08.

Any ideas?

You could try running a different radio ?
Radio: 1.00.25.05 or 1.08.25.08 or 1.00.25.16 or 1.09.25.23 etc..
Search & read the update your radio sticky thread & check to see if the radio you choose needs your device to be unlocked etc...

I found swithching off 3g and HSDPA meant my phone wasn't constantly hunting for those signals as I'm in a fringe area

I've since found that I dont need to totally reset my phone. If I u the phone in airplane mode and then back to normal again it seems to reacquire signal.

There are places in the office where I work with zero signal. It just seems that it struggles to reacquire signal once I go back into an area with signal...
