Why is it that they keep all the other names for cell phone makers like LG, Samsung, Nokia, Motorola etc
It seems HTC is the only one they *change* to AT&T.
Before the Fuze came out it was the AT&T phones support there was no sign of HTC anywhere.

That is true for old phones, but indeed AT&T kept the name for the fuze. They just changed to to the fuze from the touch pro, just like every other company does, but they still kept the HTC. Thus, the HTC Fuze.

It's called branding and AT&T is not the only company to do it. Many companies purchase items from a manufacturer or distributer and brand the item to appear as their own.

Or how about my "xv6900", I don't even respond with that when asked what phone I have. I gotta say the HTC Touch.
I mean why xv? 6900? How did this number even start 6700 > 6800 > 6900?
Where is 0000 to 6600?

Honestly, the only reason the Fuze is the "HTC Fuze" is because Apple gave a precedent. HTC was able to grow the balls necessary to tell AT&T "no" when asked to rebrand the Touch Pro as the AT&T Fuze/TP. It makes total sense, in terms of marketing, I wouldnt let the double standard stick, that Apple doesn't let AT&T rebrand the iPhone to the AT&T iPhone, and then forces the "smaller" company into rebranding their flagship product... Good for HTC, because now they're growing brand recognition with the "normal" users out there (we already knew how good HTC was, even if our device wasnt named HTC )
Just my 2 cents.
