Simple question which I can't find the answer to on the Telus website:

I live in the Toronto area and am with Telus. I am going to Montreal for a week. Will I have to pay any extra fees if I use my phone there (calls, texts, web surfing, any data usage etc.) ? I'm pretty sure roaming fees only occur outside of Canada but there may be other fees Telus is hiding from me...

Thanks in advance, and Happy Holidays :)

You're actually posting in the wrong forum section!!
But in theory unless you have a canada plan by itself, then yes you will pay for roaming fees, at least that's how it is with rogers, so i don't see why it would be different with the other telcos. Text messages however, should be free within canada, if i'm not mistaken.

I'm with Telus as well. The only extra charges you should see is long distance charges for your calls. As long as your phone is logged into the Telus network which should be the case for most of Canada, then there is no roaming charges for data or voice.
