Some of you may have noticed that when you tether your phone to your PC to browse, images are terribly compressed. Perhaps you even get that issue when you browse the web from your phone.
It appears that o2 have applied image compression to their 3G services, but it's simple to disable. I don't take the credit for this as I didn't discover it, but in your APN settings, simply change the username to "bypass", without the quotes.
I've appeared to set the fastest o2 HSDPA speedtest since May with Speedtest.net, (If they only use a single IP, which I believe they do). This is with a PC tethered, inside a block of flats!
