Difference??? Jail break???

Hi guys! I got 2 questions over here. What is the difference between 1st generation ipod touch and 2nd generation ipod touch? What are the pros and cons of jail breaking it?:)

and got a speaker

jailbrake makes it possible to use 3th party apps not from app store
but jailbrake mean one can't use firmware updates from apple
before they jailbrake them too
