new forum suggestion

i recommend that a new non-htc windows mobile devices section is added with two or three subforums (Q&A and a ROMs sections). for thoes who think its a bad idea would you kindly explain your position.


the idea has a lot of merits:

- bring a lot of expertise over this place.

- both non-htc and htc users can gain alot from this .

- a lot of very good phones are being released from samsung, asus, eten...etc it would be a real shame to isolate this comunity from the rest wm world

- makes xda-developers a much more interesting place to visit to ANYBODY intrested in windows mobile

- clean up a lot of the forums from misplaced threads (e.g omnia or i780 cooked roms)

- not that hard to manage. xda has more than 60 subforums. 2 or 3 extra forums is not that big of a deal.

- xda already had 3 subforums dedicated to ATOM which is not built or sold by htc. xda does not have dedicated sections to many less known/interesting htc-made phones. this " strictly for htc devices only" seems very pointless and servs no real perpose other than promote fanboyism and its not even true to begin with.



what do you all think? should the mods do it? let your voice be herd by voting

if it means we can get rid of the "Please can i have a forum for the latest non HTC WM device", then I am all for it. As the OP saoid it will get all of the WM devices in one place and might also stop the D & H forum getting clogged with Omnia specific questions - nothing personal to Omnia owners but they seem to be shouting the loudest. :):)

Yes, agree, add such a section !!

And what about all those old devices, I can´t imagine they are this wide-spread as the newer ones (kaiser, touch series etc) so why not kick some of the older ones or cut down on the number of these forums ???

I would like to see own forum sections for Samsung and Asus, IMHO especially Asus will become more and more popular because they got real power.

The admin has considered this and it will not be happening in the forseable future.
