Limit Recent Apps

How can I limit the amount of apps in the recent area of the start menu?

I tried searching, couldn't find anything.

If you move all shortcuts from '/windows/start menu/programs' into another subdirectory, e.g. '/windows/start menu/main', then you will have no list with recent used apps.

I know this is not exactly what you want, but maybe you' ll find it useful:)
