I found a cab file for Pandora Radio in a Motorolla forum, installed it, and it works!
I'm using a Att Tilt running Garmin DK 9 ROM WM6.1.

Here is the link to the cab file:
http://mq.roeiboot.com/apps/pandora.cab

Note: switch to landscape when creating your account or you will not see all the required fields. ie: zip code.
Also Birthday is year only.

Enjoy
:)

Happy Birthday to me!

The bitrate of the streams are low. They sound like 96kbit/s or lower compared to the 128kbit/s streams on Resco Radio.

Haha, that's awesome; never seen someone so excited about a discovery, only to knock it with their next post! Been using Pandora for a few months now. Kinoma freeplay is much better for specific radio staion searches with pandora being better for general types of music; resco is very flaky, and yea it has a larger bit rate, though that also causes a lot of sound distortion combined with a lot of "hit and miss" music selections...

I have the proxy unchecked in the Media Net settings. You can try that.
Start>Settings>Connections>Connections>Set up my proxy server> Uncheck the second box "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet."

This works great, thanks! I had to actually do the registration online (w/ my PC), do an initial log in, then used it on my phone.

Been playing with Pandora on my device for about a week now, it's quite splendid.

One little hack you might care to do...

Edit the following registry key/values to allow playback to continue while the screen is turned off:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ Preferences]
"UnattendedPlayback"=dword:1
"FastCacheReserve"=dword:00800000
"LocalCacheReserve"=dword:00800000

Interesting. I had tested Pandora previously on Garmin's DK8Final
ROM (fresh rom, no other programs installed or tweaks done) and found I had to make that registry change to allow unattended playback. Updated to DK9 yesterday and just made the reg changes anyway. It all works though :-)

I've only been able to log in one time. After that it just hangs up every time.

Another thread in Kaiser General has a newer version of Pandora 1.1.4 compared to this 1.0.25.

I loaded Pandora 1.1.4 from the following forum, it works GREAT!! However, my playback shuts down when the screen goes dark. I tried the below suggested registry edit, however, I don't have those options available. Did you manually enter those options? Also, this version seems to be a flash player, not using the Media Player, just want to make sure I'm understanding this as I'm quite a noob =) Many thanks in advance for all the help!

Yes, you'll need to manually add those registry values, of type DWORD.

At least, this is what has worked for me. Your mileage may vary.

Yep I added them manually also and it worked like a champ!

I'm creating these new values as DWORD however, what do I use as the value for each of these settings? When I enter a value (1 or 8) in here, it changes the value to 0x00000008(8). Thanks for all your help!....Did I mention I'm a noobie.

Yeah, for the unattendedplayback value, setting it to 1 (or 0x00000001(1)) works. For the other two, make sure the trailing zeroes are correct. So set those to 00800000 (which will change to some other representation similar to 0x00800000). Make sure that you are entering these as DECIMAL values.

Hope that gets you going :)

Hey, I tried adding the other two values (the 00800000 ones) on my T-Mobile Wing, but I have no luck getting it to work. The values always change to some weird 0x0C74032 or something like that.

Do you know what I'm doing wrong??? Am I just stupid? lol. I wanna get this working.

is there a way of convincing pandora that im in the US? As soon as i install and run the app it tells me to shove off since im not there.

Tried this on 6.5 with HTC Touch Pro 2 and the UI was badly distorted and pretty much unusable and it failed to shutdown when closed. The app installs and runs though, was able to see my stations and listen to music.
