Surfing w/ 2.00 ROMs faster than iPhone?

I am using pistonripper's 2.00 ROM for one week and I'm impressed by its speed. I am wondering if the new 2.00 ROMs with Opera's latest release is faster than iPhone 2.2 with Safari (I think so). I don't have an iPhone here, so someone may compare both and post results ...

sorry, don't have a Iphone either, but i must say that the 2.0 rom is very fast, also its manilla is a lot faster then all the roms i've had before..

can't say that opera is faster then on previous roms, it loads faster for sure...

btw: found out that you can slide the email messages like in the touchflo3d with this rom..

if you click on a envelope in tf3d it opens the email,then you can slide to the following email by sliding to the left or right, never noticed this before? is it new in 2.00 rom ?
