Really gets annoying after a while...

BTW, I read somewhere else that HTC has released a hotfix for TF3D to correct this problem on the Raphael (Touch Pro).

Maybe we could get a new refresh of the TF3D cabs????

I actually used this hot-fix before I even knew what ROM flashing was but I still happen to have it. Here you go :)

Yes, I'm still using TF3D SE... I've been loathe to go to DK10 because of all the problems I've been hearing in the thread, and I prefer the TF3D 'cooked in'. I was hoping -G- would come out with a 'beta 2':)

well.....if you are download the CAB install it and then go to programs/proxy folder then click disable proxy reset your data connection using the COMM manager and then try the weather:)

Ok one more problem, I installed the tf3d config then i activated proformance options 1 and 2 and rebooted. Suddenly i had to put a whole lot of pressure on the screen before it would do anything. I was able to get back to the config utility and turn the settings off. The problem improved but is still not back to the way it was. Have to use my finger, won't work with the stylus at all. Any help would be great! Anyone got the registry values of HKLM\software\OEM\touchflo on a tilt without ever using tf3d config?

hmmm....did you try using all four of the tweaks? also I've never noticed this problem because I haven't touched my stylus in 3 months but I can't confirm your problem now because I'm preparing to SIM unlock my Kaiser:cool:

if it happened to you, you would know. I had to press veryhard to the point i worried about cracking the screen. But I kept playing with it this morning and it started working right again. don't know what or why but its good now.

you do have a ROM with the D3D drivers right? If you do, then go and try disabling the Today timeout in the today settings.

Hey everyone. I wanted to ask a stupid question. I have an older version of TF3D. I read in the initial post that the power issue was fixed. Does this mean that you can actually turn off the screen now with this version of TF3D?

Nevermind. I figured out that I skipped a step and it works great. Thank you again for everyone's hard work. Simply amazing how an old phone can still compete with the newer ones on the market.

Ah there is the problem don't use TF3D and TF2D neither will work if both are installed. and if you had TF2D installed before and then wanted to go up to TF3D you would have to do a hard-reset for it to work properly because of course un-installing never gets it all and also your ROM may not have had the D3D drivers but -G-'s does ;)

Probably not.. You could try it, tho, but better to stick with the requirements as described on the initial post.

The thing the omnia lacks is the Open GL ES 3D drivers. If it had those it should be able to run TF3D.

first I have to flash the AT&T stock ROM to get my data connection back and once thats done ill try the wm 6.5

EDIT: It seems utopykzebulon's folder is down or something because the ROM downloads 31Kb and then says its done rofl, so I'll wait:)

it works nice but there is couple problems..
I was able to download tf3d config but I couldn't get it to run
it gives me an error every time I try to run it.. also htc diamond album wasn't able to download.

sorry for being so in a rush!
i have flashed Garmin K10 final. it's amazing!!
now touchflo 3d works nicely.
BUT i still can't download (htc album diamond)
for unknown reason.
by the way I have a nice trick to keep touch flo running all the time instead of being automatically turned on and off with every sleep.
I've downloaded throttlelock which a pattern based screen lock.
and I unchecked the device power off start/settings/power
I only turn the lights off. which turns it into dark screen but not completely black.

at least now everytime I use the phone I don't have to be interrupted by touchflo 3D launching.

oh I also changed PTT button on the kaiser to make it throttle lock.

it's much easier to use now. but my question is if there is ANY way that I can
make the screen completely off without turning off the device??:confused:

I think I know what you are saying. You mean shutting off the screen without shutting off TouchFLO 3D correct? There is a way to do this using S2U2, but I have no idea how since I'd rather not emulate the iPhone.

Sorry if I sound like a beginner, but I am really new to this. Love the TF3D and also love the D.K.10.Lite. I installed everything using the instructions, but was having trouble copying and pasting manilla themes to windows folder. When I hold down on the file to copy, it doesn't pop-up a screen to let me copy and paste.

At first TF3D was working great, but just took a long time to load, but now having trouble putting it to sleep. It stays on and or locks-up. I do a soft-reset to bring up the screen, but still having problems turning it on and off. it also seems very slow when switching to landscape mode. Do you think I have not installed all the files correctly? Please help in any way possible, lol?

I still trying to work on the phone and after soft reset, TF3D does not load sometimes. Also, still continuing to lock-up very often. Could it be that either the hardspl or dk.10.lite did not install correctly. The phone was working great after installing dk.10.lite. Problems started when I installed rest of the files. Again, thank you for your help.

Sinnce its luch time I can answer thiis :) you cant use themes that are in ZIP files the only way you can install a theme is using the Diamond TF3D config (.theme files) I'm afraid you will ahve to do a hard-reset now and then never replace the manila files with other .manilla files because our kaisers have have a different screen resolution than the diamond's or other TF3D devices (our resolution:240x320 theirs: 640x480) and I think theme files will scale but anyways NEVER replace the manila files manually you MUST use .theme files with TF3D config

B2333I would do a hard reset if I were you! It will make sure any residue gets cleaned out of the system! Then re-install TF3D! If you want to use a theme in zip format you can but first you need to change the file extention to .theme! All a theme file is, is a renamed zip file! The Diamond TF3D configurator will scale the images for you but you may see some pixle sized white spots on the screen around some of your icons and it will be noticable when you are swifting through your texts! What I did was find the clocks and bottom bars I liked and put them into my own zip file and changed the ext to .theme and used that to avoid the white spots! :)

had no idea that theme files were ZIP files because usuallly you take a WMA file and then rename it to a MP3 file and of course it won't work lol and as Cal-El said do a hard-reset pm me about SASHIMI if youu mess up your files again and get tired of re-installing them over and over again

Based on the symptoms, it would appear that the HyperDragon ROM you have installed doesn't have the right version of the D3D drivers.

Remember, this thread originally stated that we were working with Garmin's DK9 and 10 ROMs. No guarantees these will work with other ROMS...

a F.A.Q. will be coming soon I've only put 5 questions on there(wordprocesser) but no It won't work with the stock ROM also wait about a week or so learning about flashing ROMs and other things so you don't brick your phone ;)

um. you could sacrifice landscape for weather panel I usually don't use landscape. As for S2U2 I'll have an answer in a few hours(baseball practice)

whenever i used htc home it was all about today space...like using today shrink to take away the bottom 2 softkey buttons (if you click them it would still work they just werent there = more space.

so thinking about this with the landscape problem, why not just take away the line that shows the date, and the line on the bottom. i could see why the bottom would be trouble since they are different for each tab. but the date i could easily see being removed, and for each tab it just says people, messages, etc....you should be able to know that just by looking at the icon on the bottom. to me its wasted space, wasted space=crunched up bad look on landscape.

So I think you are saying to remove the text below the icons in landscape right? Doing that would still keep the space the same I think because landscape is meant to take up the whole screen. I made a mock-up of what it might look like.

nah thats not what i was talkin about. not the 8 button landscape version. i mean still keeping the look from portrait, taking away the top line of date, messages, people, etc for each tab...and on the bottom taking away the soft key buttons. giving more space all in the middle for the tabs and manila stuff. just a thought, probly dumb.

changed the version of opera to NSFAN's build because its a hell of a lot better gives a max of 10 tabs it also changes the bootsplash to the opera default.

Just reflashed my phone with G's DK10 Final and TF3D. It is working much faster and efficiently since the first time I didn't install the cabs in the exact order. Just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work and very useful info.

you need the 3d driver my friend!
just search "3d drivers for kaiser" in google ..or "openGl 3d drivers for kaiser"
you'll find them.

I am runnng G's DK.10 Final and once I installed all the TF3D .Cab files, it won't let me change the start button command key to make the start menu drop down. I can change it to do that, but it just reverts back to have the command to go to the today screen. All the other buttons can be changed and stay except for the start menu button. I have re-flashed the rom 3 times and this issue is still here. Any ideas how to fix it? I am thinking it is a registry issue, so if anyone can fix it, please post the fix in a .cab file so I can just install it. Thanks.

Also does anyone have the .cab file for the task manager app that comes with PDA Corner Ultimate Roms? I really liked this because it let me disable that replog notification so that activesync wouldn't always be running. Please post it or the link if you can. Thanks.

your right didn't ever notice this it reverts back to 'Today' after a soft-reset or power down It may be the ROM or it may be TouchFlo3D most likely a registry issue as you said I'll try looking for it tommorrow

I don't really think it is the rom, which I thought it was before. When I reflashed, I changed the settings, and the button works with no problem. When I install the TF3D files, the issue arises, so that is why I think the problem is with TF3D, and not the rom. LMK when you figure it out.

it'sin the software itself just like the diamond and the fuse how they have a home button . so this is doing the same job. I wasn't able to change it either but I don't have a problem with it I think it's nice to have a home button. .for the task manager you're right u probably flashed the lite version like I did. well my recommend is to flash the final version it has more software and works the same as the lite for TF3D. the programs memory is the same but the storage memory in the lite is a little more but what a deal if u have a micro SD right?
the final version comes with task manager but you still have to download the 3D drivers and openGL because seriously it's not cooked with it!

Yeah I was wondering this to since it is starting to get very annoying when I just want to take a quick peek at the time and have to wait for TF3D to load just so I can see it. Do you know how to keep TF3D running even with the screen off so it can be rebooted instantly, while not compromising battery life?

Also, do you notice any lag with TF3D? I notice a slight pause like with the music tab and when ever you try to scroll fast.

One last question... do you know where I can get a battery bar which shows accurate battery life to a single percent like the one in M2D, but similar to the 3D look?

I've the TIR v10k ROM and the tf3d go fast on my kaiser :D.

I am runnng G's DK.10 Final and once I installed all the TF3D .Cab files, it won't let me change the start button command key to make the start menu drop down. I can change it to do that, but it just reverts back to have the command to go to the today screen. All the other buttons can be changed and stay except for the start menu button. I have re-flashed the rom 3 times and this issue is still here. Any ideas how to fix it? I am thinking it is a registry issue, so if anyone can fix it, please post the fix in a .cab file so I can just install it. Thanks.

the best thing to do is change the start button to make another one.. like PTT button for example.

Ninlour I had this problem before but what I did was soft-reset and then before changing the wallpaper I opened the pictures and videos app and then exited. Then I changed the wallpaper and it showed all the pictures.

All of these problems sound like a bad Radio... check with -G-'s thread to see which radios are supported and flash in one of those.

not TF3D (this one works pretty well)
I'm talking about the advanced configure that comes with the final virsion normally..
I tried to download it separately as a third party software.. but the phone didn't react to it.
my whole purpose is to stop phone from going to sleep during phone calls!

Just changed my radio to 1.65.20.29 and it is working a lot better by not freezing after every command. I have one problem though, when I run youtube, it works for me to search for clips, but when I go to watch a video clip, it doesn't work. Does anyone have a cab to fix this? Thanks.

i use kaiser as a modem through internet sharing..
the difference between the two roms is that the lite works internet on the computer much faster than the final...but the final is much more stable rom to work with tf3d...
so I don't know ...I'll try lite with advanced config.

its not a direct3d driver its Open GL ES 3D drivers since so many people dont want to flash a ROM here is the link (http://www.htcclassaction.org/download/HTC-CA-Kaiser-Drivers.cab)
You are usually better off using a ROM that already has these drivers included, as they are not compatible with all ROMs! thats from htcclassaction.org as has been said so many times it is much better to have a ROM with them cooked in so don't complain about the performance by the CAB file. Could someone help me because I am starting to have many problems with TF3D? My first problem is that sometimes when I turn the power off the phone from the S2U2 screen that I am running, it sometimes reboots the device which is very annoying. The second problem I have is that it seems to freeze pretty often when going back to the today screen. I have to reboot the device probably on average about 5-7 times per day. Another problem I have is that when I go into landscape mode to type something, like when I am in the calendar and filling out an appointment, it is not smooth and it is a pain to type because I can't do it fast. The same thing happens with Opera Mini when I type in something to search for. With M2D I had no problems with this even with landscape not supported. Amother problem is that everytime I turn the screen off and turn it back on, it kills TF3D and has to relaunch it. Is there a way to get it to go into standby so it is already loaded if I want to glance at the time? My last problem is that TF3D sometimes randomly exits out of programs which is very annoying. When I wanted to take a pic of something quickly, it was very hard because TF3D took forever and kept exiting out. The samething happens when I want to quickly call someone. It will freeze or take forever. I have followed all the installation procedures correctly and even flashed the radio multiple times. I am using the same one as the OP. The phone works the best with this one so far, but I am still having problems. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah I actually do have a lot of stuff installed to the device (like on 8mb of space remaining). I am trying to figure out what to delete since I can't believe that alll those files could take up that much space. I have a lot on the sd card as well. Do you think that most of my issues will go away if I clear a lot of space? This is what I was thinking of, but wasn't sure if it would work or not.

you have one of two things to do..
1st best option recommended by kaiserII101
and me after experience is to flash -G-Rom 10v. lite.
2nd option which is ok too..if you download D3D drivers for your device and openGL .

LET'S JUST NOT CREATE A FIGHT GUYS ..
LET'S BE MORE REALISTIC.
TF3D WORKS WITH ALL ROMS AND I HAVE TESTED THAT MYSELF. IT EVEN WORKS ON THE ORIGINAL AT&T ROM.
BUT YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO DOWNLOAD OPENGL AND D3D DRIVERS.

THE ONLY WAY THAT YOU DON'T DO THAT IS WHEN YOU HAVE ONE OF THE -G- ROMS FLASHED ..ONLY BECAUSE IT'S FLASHED WITH IT...
now some people say that it's better if it's flashed with the ROM than downloading it seperately ..but honeslty i haven't realized any difference..
it gives the same performance..
but it would make more sense if we say it will be more stabled on ROMs that they are preflashed with OpenGL and D3D drivers..
that's the whole point...you can actually download any copy of TF3D out there...they all work... but
I like this one because it comes in one pack with all the requirements..
like audio manager and diamond album..
and if you have -g- rom 10th virsion ..you'll also have youtube preflashed on it as well...
but it's so slow if you wanna play videos in high definition..

but anyway...
TouchFlo 3d it's still BETA officially... it will kill the battery..even if you have Cal E or TF3D Standby... I tell you from now.. you will carry your charger anywhere you want... cuz it won't last for a whole day!!

I am starting to have problems from following the directions in the readme and I very busy and don't have the time to reflash. Will there be a possibility of it not running smoothly if I reinstall the cab files without reflashing the rom? LMK ASAP so I can figure out what to do because I have to soft reset it multiple times. I have about 20mb of free device space and am still having problems.

ok.. why don't you just do a hard reset .. then download the cabs..
all what you need is TF3D cab with an option of either TF3D standby or CalE.
to stop the screen from turning off completely which will lead to soft reset.
if you have -G- ROM you don't have to worry about open GL or D3D
just hard reset ..
download calE first or Standby.
then download TF3D
then .. it doesn't matter if you download diamond album or audio manager ..if you were not really concerned about the picture and music tab.
but if you are ..so those two are a must. but it doesn't matter the order how you download them..
really the order is not critical ...at all
all what you need to do is to make sure that TF3D is unchecked on your today plugins and don't run it until the standby or calE are ready..
and that's it..

honestly ..I wouldn't reflash ..the fastest way just hard reset.

Yeah I had a feeling that would happen. I downloaded the clear temp app to delete files such as internet cache, history, google maps, etc, but I still can't get more than 20 mb of free space. I have all the S2U Apps installed to the device, and they are the only ones I think could be taking up space. How much memory does TF3D take up with only the diamond album installed to the device along with all the other necessary files? Thanks.

So your saying install standby first? I am a little confused because in post #197 and the readme, it says to install this last. Which one should I follow? Also, with landscape, when should I install that? Before or after standby? Everyone says when installing it, keep second today open? I just want to do it right the first time since I can't spend that much time troubleshooting the issue. LMK. Thanks.

could you be more specific? what is it that it lags?
if it's what I think that the standby I affecting your typing just go to power options and increase the time of display off

honestly I didn't download touchflo landscape ..because I know it won't work.
just because I don't like the idea of second today screen.
so probably you will need to get rid of that.
for me I don't have the landscape thing and I don't have any problems ..typing or any kind of the phone functionality

Ok guys I am still having some major problems with my device which force me to constantly softreset. When I wake up the device from sleep mode, it sometimes doesn't even load TF3D and I have to softreset. This is very annoying, especially when I need to use my phone. Also, another problem I am having is that TF3D sometimes exits out of programs unexpectedly. This occurs most notably with the camera. I have Nadavi 5.4 camera installed to the device, but when I push the camera button it takes a little bit to load, but after like one or two pics, it exits out and tries to go to the home screen. This is a huge problem when I want to capture something multiple times at that instant. I did install every part of the hardware according to the instructions posted, and have even reflashed multiple times, but still have problems. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated because I really like TF3D when it is responsive. Thanks.

By the way, I have around 64mb of device memory remaining, so not having enough memory shouldn't be the problem.

htc diamond album won't let you see the pictures in landscape mode.
you will unfortunately either
slide the keyboard opened.
or
assign one of your hard buttons to "landscape mode"
and then you'll be able to just press it and turn to landscape without sliding your keyboard.

I believe I have downloaded all the files needed.

Before when I had tried to install TF3D (cab file) along with the 3D drivers (single cab file) it seemed to work nice except that the standby/power button would not work. When the button was pressed the backlight would dim to the lowest setting and then the screen would flash on and off. When opening Music, I would get an error "AudioManger.exe" is missing. When I opened Pictures, I would get an error that a file associated with Album is missing. So basically those did not work at all.

Well I have now read up on all that you shared and am going to give this a shot. Going to start from scratch by removing everything to maximize memory. Wish me luck with this testing. Will post and let yo all know how it went.:)

I've found it best to use Toggle Manila, then switch device off, Manila will still reload when you unlock device. If I rely on tf3d standby, after switching the device off then back on for the 3rd time, it locks up and requires reset.

I am using Radio 1.65.28.25, but may upgrade to see if there is any change.

Screen rotation is slow when going landscape-portrait-landscape. Also, I can not see any text on screen when in Landscape.(This has been the case for the last few ROMs I've tried.) Any clues?

Is anyone else having major problems with standby? I am having problems similar to the post above which stated that if you push the power button to turn off the screen 3 times, it will freeze and require a soft reset. It is extremely annoying that almost every time it takes forever to get the screen to shut off and when I turn it on, it either resets the device, or makes S2U2 slow. This also makes TF3D take forever to launch, or not launch at all. TF3D works great and is very fast after it is launched, but when the device wakes up I have the majority of my problems. I really need a fix for this because I like TF3D, but it is currently unreliable. I can't reset my device 10 times a day. Also, it kills my battery since the screen won't always turn off completely. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey guys, I just flashed the latest -G- ROM and then put tf3d on it. I made sure to install the touch power and standby .cab's as well. My after about one or two minutes being idle keeps turning the screen on and off and there is no way to make the problem stop other than doing a soft reset with the stylus. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Also I tryed plyaing with touch power but I don't seem to fully understand this program. I hit the power button and it shuts down tf3d as expected but when I hit reload tf3d 90% of the time nothing happens. Is there a way to jus make the power button work as it did before (when u lightly pressed the power button the screen turned off, long press it shut down the phone).

Ok so I've noticed that there is no real thread covering everything about getting TF3D on our kaisers(actually there was but it was closed because there were too many stupid questions being asked so please dont make a repeat of that) so I'm devoting this one to that purpose. First I'd like to say thanks to Swtos for the AudioManager tab Fix and worstenbrood for the sleep fix and a big Thanks to -G- for his ROM. Also Snailslug for his TouchResponse. Of course the biggest credit goes to Chainfire and Shirke for making the CAB for TF3D, and the Polaris3D Team doing most of the testing, and also Laurentius26 for testing TF3D in his cooked ROM and helping to finish the 2D drivers which were needed to fix the 3D drivers. Now I reccomend -G-'s DK.10.Lite ROM(this is my final verdict for now until 11 )or any of his naked,lite,final ROMs (9-10) because TF3D has proven to be the fastest on these ROMs even faster than the ROMs with TF3D cooked in:D(Although, I must add that those ROMs aren't just throwaways, try them out to see which you like better)
The download includes a README for people who know what they are doing(who know how to flash a ROM, what D3D drivers are etc.) now.

Did you take a look at the readme in the first post? If you follow those instructions, you should be OK...

Big thing to remember is that this probably NOT work on a stock ROM. You'll need to flash a ROM containing the correct drivers. (As noted, this was all tested with Garmin's, so that would be a good place to start).

U can try dk.10 final with kaiser 1.70.19.09 radio... which works well for me... and i was amazed with how well the TF3D worked... however, the few things which is still imperfect should be the call-in lag and hang, no video call function, and still a bit of laggy-ness... Hope you guys will work this out and make it perfect!

I don't think this could happen .. because what they are doing is resizing the TouchFlo 3d from VGA and WVGA (htc diamond, touch pro, touch hd) to QVGA devices.
see the difference.. they are NOT creating one .. it's just a matter of resizing the files to fit the small resolution screen of the kaiser or any QVGA device.

Not really. You need a bunch of free ram and storage space for it to be responsive. This is due to the drivers not being fully compatible. I found it too unreliable for everyday use, so I switched back to M2D.

Yeah, I think u r right.. Our kaiser is not fully developed for the TF3D usage.. Too troublesome for everyday use.. If it can be used decently, im sure Abusalza already cooked it into his ROM..:D

^^The Tilt doesn't have the correct drivers for TF3D, which is why I stopped using it. The screen bug was very annoying and the phone became extremely unreliable. Until the correct drivers are released, I won't be trying it again.

that's cause the cab was designed for a kaiser not a Touch Pro which had a higher resolution by 250%

Thanks for TF3D. I've Touch Cruise (Polaris) with the original 6.1 ROM. First, I installed HTC-CA Polaris drivers. Then installed all of cab orderly. Everything goes fine. Only Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7 problem, not start. But after installing .NET 3.5 and replacing tweaks.xml, I solved it.:)

Hi! I have installed tf3d cabs on my LG ks20,but it got problems after reboot.

It is a touch problem, I cannot click what I want on the home screen of tf3d, for example, I wan to click Call history, when I clicked, It opens the clock screen. That also happens on the menus of tf3d. How to deal with it?

Another problem is the standby fix may not works on my device. Maybe the settings is wrong? How to make it run?

Bro, I think you are mistaking TF3D for Manilla 2D... I know Garmin cooks 2D into his ROMs, but I haven't seen one of his ROMs rocking the 3D version.

There are cooks out there with 3D cooked in, but, as our Kaisers aren't built specifically to run that, it can be slow and buggy. Porting 3D to the Kaisers are still a work in progress, but, if you want to try them, check the Kaiser ROM development thread... Just reflashed my phone with G's DK10 Final and TF3D. It is working much faster and efficiently since the first time I didn't install the cabs in the exact order. Just wanted to say thanks for all the hard work and very useful info.

I installed this package from the first post of this thread and followed the readme file. Beside the installation of the files from the first post I installed also the package from the third post but it looks like before :( I got the message on my homescreen: "to start TF3D push the screen" I push on the screen but nothing happend :(

Do someone have an idea where the mistake is? Do I have to install a customized ROM to get this packages on my mobile screen? :confused:

I use the MDA Vario III from T-Mobile with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.

Hope there is no important information missed and my question is not that bad.

The problem only happens because when you click download on google translate so the actual link is corrupted, so be sure to download any link in the original way, never use the translator to do some downloading!
