Ok so I've noticed that there is no real thread covering everything about getting TF3D on our kaisers(actually there was but it was closed because there were too many stupid questions being asked so please dont make a repeat of that) so I'm devoting this one to that purpose. First I'd like to say thanks to Swtos for the AudioManager tab Fix and worstenbrood for the sleep fix and a big Thanks to -G- for his ROM. Also Snailslug for his TouchResponse. Of course the biggest credit goes to Chainfire and Shirke for making the CAB for TF3D, and the Polaris3D Team doing most of the testing, and also Laurentius26 for testing TF3D in his cooked ROM and helping to finish the 2D drivers which were needed to fix the 3D drivers. Now I reccomend -G-'s DK.10.Lite ROM(this is my final verdict for now until 11 )or any of his naked,lite,final ROMs (9-10) because TF3D has proven to be the fastest on these ROMs even faster than the ROMs with TF3D cooked in:D(Although, I must add that those ROMs aren't just throwaways, try them out to see which you like better)
The download includes a README for people who know what they are doing(who know how to flash a ROM, what D3D drivers are etc.) now.

Bro, I think you are mistaking TF3D for Manilla 2D... I know Garmin cooks 2D into his ROMs, but I haven't seen one of his ROMs rocking the 3D version.

There are cooks out there with 3D cooked in, but, as our Kaisers aren't built specifically to run that, it can be slow and buggy. Porting 3D to the Kaisers are still a work in progress, but, if you want to try them, check the Kaiser ROM development thread... Here is a list of all the modifications I have tested and know are working, there aren't many yet but as I continue to test others the list will grow;) EDIT: Im really stupid my bad. These manila files are apparently different therefore most mods will not work although there may be some that do work.
Second Edit: Let's make this a bit more understandable. This version of TF3D is basically a few versions of TF3D mixed together until they created a working version of it. (an educated guess because chainfire said he had put in a few files from his raphael into the build.) So, that means some of these manila files are replaceable and will work with some add-ons, but not all of them. Because some add-ons aren't designed to work with different versions files. Hope this helps explain it a bit better :)

Q: Whenever I try and put the device into sleep mode, it powers off instead?
A: Try disabling the today time-out. Also, make sure you installed the standby CAB right.

I am assuming that it is installed on top of the existing ROM, much the way Manilla 2D was at the beginning. How is the stability and speed? I have tried ROMs with 3D cooked in and there were too many issues to be able to use it as an everyday device (ie unresponsiveness, power issues, etc.)...

I find it to be about as fast as manilla 2D:D the only thing that loads a little bit slow is the music tab and the apps tab
Also my power lasts much longer thanks to the standby fix by worstenbrood

Nice... Want to try but getting an error on the Mediafire page... States that there are no servers currently available with the requested data on them. Any thoughts?

it still needs work though
the sliding function enables a start.exe for a diff today screen and if u close that out ur phone will freeze

my pictures dont show up properly.....only the first one shows and the rest r all white. they show up fine once i tap on the white ones to view in full mode

overall, tf3d is quite speedy and functional

The key with the landscape is you need to copy paste toggle manila.exe into your windows file from program files and leave secondToday running in the background! Here is the zip for you KaiserII101. The read me inside explanes it all exept for the toggle manila thing, that is for this ROM! Good man for getting this all together!:)

You can fix the pictures by installing Diamond album, but once you have changed it you cant rotate your pics once you are in the album and slideshow will not work! The file is to big to post here! Searce on Google and it will come up!

Tf3d seems to be a bit slower on my Tilt than tf2d but it does work so Kudos!
Slide to Unlock seems incompatable as when you unlock it, tf3d does not appear, just a black screen. I uninstalled A_C S2U2.
I'm going to try M3D Landscape, Diamond TF3D Config Setup v0.6.7, Utopykzebulon TF3d Standby and S2U2 again.

how is the standby feature...i remember when I was testing this, we had to toggle it off and then turn it off...then turn it back in and toggle tf3d back on...

for me after i installed the sleep fix i soft-reset and now everytime i push the power button i shuts off TF3D and allows the device to sleep. When i wake it up TF3D is launched again automatically and it takes about 3-7 seconds:)

There is most likey a software conflict between the two! We all know uninstall never gets all of it! You may want to Hard reset and try again.:( It works great for me and I have never had an issue!

Hmmmmm......try uninstalling all of the CABs and then install all of them EXCEPT the landscape fix and delete the togglemanilla in Windows see if that works ;-;

It is working perfectly for me so far (20 minutes). I used G-ROM V9 with TF3D all day yesterday but had multiple issues (lock ups, incoming call delay etc) so i had to go back to M2D. But had to come back to TF3D. So far it is working great. Will post some more later after heavy use.

Thanks but I didn't install the landscape fix ... So my problem does not come from this. I also see that the power off does not works (and I installed the sleep cab...).

I'm just talking about the way the pictures are displayed in the HTC Album. It seems that I can't display them in landscape mode. In Manilla 2D, there was a gesture to turn them to landscape, it worked well.

I did a hard reset, and then reinstalled all the cabs (except the landscape cab). But now TF3D does not launch. It keeps displaying "press here to launch TF3D" ...
Any idea ?

EDIT : OK, this problem was solved by installing the HTC Classaction drivers ... Sorry !

Anyway, even after the hard reset, the problem is still the same : "IDS_" is displayed in front of each text, and I still can't navigate trought the tabs using my finger ...

And the album thing is a result of installing the diamond album! Its made for diamond so it wont switch to landscape without the g sensor! The default album works great but you hava a couple of white pics at first at the display screen! Its a trade off!

I seem to remember reading (in one of the TF3D threads :)) that the IDS_xxxx strings were language related; i.e. the default install of TF3D is WWE, but if your default language is something other than that, then you need to edit the ??????? (some config file) to include the translations for your preferred language.

Ok then it is the language issue! Power fix is needed for you to put your phone into sleep mode TF3D will not allow your phone to sleep while it is active! This is a known driver issue! :)

OK, i noticed something when i get notifications (incoming call, text msg, reminders etc). The pop-up window stays in the background. It would not display the information.

As you can see the screen displays that i have an incoming call; it lets me silence or send text but can not view who the caller is.

I received a reminder from my work calender; as you can see i can Dismiss the calender or click Menu to get the context menu (Can_View_or_Dismiss.jpg) but can not view the calender.

3. Can_View_or_Dismiss.jpg
states that i have a notification, i can click the notification icon to get to system status. I click the reminder icon; it feels like it is going to load and matter of fact it loads for a fraction of a second and disappears. I know it loaded but it is hidden. Other icons in System Status are working fine.

Yea thats the issue with TF3D not wanting to share the screen! You are better off turning the pop ups off in notifications! Thats what I did! TF3D is not perfect yet, in fact it is barely sutible for daily use, but if you want to put some time into learning all the tweaks and stuff it can work real well! I love it, you just need to compromise a little!:) Again, its all about the looks!

If you're using DK9.Final, then there was no radio installed with it - you might want to try the radio you were using before you flashed DK9 and 1.65.24.36, which presumably worked ok in sunny Italy :)

I was using radio 1.58.25.17 and I faced the same problem. Can it be a bad flash?I hard reset the phone twice before installing TF3D.

Sunny...is a relative term....if it's any consolation, it's minus 3 or 4 in the UK at the mo :(

OK, back to radios.... what SPL are you using - 3.29 or 3.56 - there are some radio/SPL combinations that work better together than others. Personally, I've always liked SPL 3.56, but I wouldn't choose a radio above 1.65.21.xx (have you tried 1.65.17.56 (http://rapidshare.com/files/127690044/KAIS_Radio_Only_1.65.17.56_CustomRUU.zip.html) before?? It's a popular radio, but whether it's good for Italy I just couldn't say.....couldn't be much worse than where you are now ;))

EDIT: You could try disabling TF3D from Start | Settings | Today to see if the problem is TF3D related or not; if you can then receive phone calls ok, it's TF3D - if not, it's down to your ROM/SPL/Radio combination.....

Sadly, that's about all the advice I can offer; SPL's and Radio's are a bit of a black art - what works for one person may not work for others - it all depends on your location/carrier/phases of the moon etc :D

The phone freeze is related to your phone going into sleep mode while talking on it! Just like it wont sleep without turning off TF3D! To fix this install kaiser tweak and disable sleep and fast sleep(the first two options) this will keep it from happening again! Here is the cab! This can be used with advanced configurator!

I had some issues with backlight and TF3D getting deactivated and phone shutting off. I need to do some more testing probably there is some kind power management settings i need to play with.
One thing for sure; touching the screen once backlight dims does not reactivate the backlight; i have to use the hardware button. Is there a workaround for this?

guys, really appreciate your enthusiasm and help with making M3D a usable application...
i have tried it on DK9 and i was impressed with the speed...didnt expect it to run as fast.
but in all truthfulness i can't install an app with still some bugs in it and i am not a fan of walk-around solutions so i'll wait for this to be as stable as htc home.

you should see how long it took me to convince myself to keep M2D on my roms because i was so annoyed with the landscape issue even after MBV's fix which is great work from him but still slow and laggy...

i would kill for a stable and bug free TF3D on a kaiser

After following the discussion in G's thread about the TF3D and going into this thread I decided to install TF3d on my kaiser.
When the application is loaded it's really quick, IMO it loads to slow and not being able to "normally" change to stand-by is annoying (because TF3D restarts after getting back from stand-by).
I will keep on using TF3D for the remainder of the while I have DK9 on my phone. When 10 comes out I will redecide if I will TF3D on it again (I hope it's better by then).
The operation of TF3D is real quick on the DK9 rom btw.

I have one problem though, cant get the landscape thingy working with second today.

Unless your stock ROM has all the latest drivers then yes you need -G-'s DK.9.Final:)
you may have the question that 'why did Manilla 2D work then?' its because Manilla is strictly 2D hence the name :D whilst TF3D is 3D and requires drivers to make it run. Htcclassaction.org is riled up about this fact since HTC doesnt include these drivers in their ROMs and they are actually going to prepare for a lawsuit if the petition is not grantedhttp://www.htcclassaction.org/images/drivers-not-included-small.png

BTW- i installed Jade PhoneCanvas which actually showed me the options to Slide to Answer/Ignore screen without a problem but all the status icon's on G-ROM got messed up. Battery icon changed to charging status even though the phone was not charging; signal strength changed to plain white which i did not like :eek:

Thank you for posting Chainfire, I followed the old thread about the progress of your work on this ad since it got closed because of being riddled with stupid questions I was wondering if any of the newer roms with 3D were updated versions of it.......no one ever posted in thier roms what version of 3d it was....some said "improved version" whatever that means......good to have confirmation that its the same old one to save me time installing a buncha roms just to discover its the same 3d thats been around for a while now. I kinda assumed though that laurentius (sp?) would be on top f that though and be the first to post a rom with a newer version......btw.....any updates on your 3d? as i recall from that thread you guys had kinda hit a brick wall stopping point on development......anyways thaks for your development.

I was having the same problem. Are you using the garmin cooked rom? I wasn't and after upgrading my phone to that everything worked great.

Kaiser, I am not sure if I am having a problem or if this is the way it is. I installed everything on top of garmin's v.9 rom and everything works well except landscape mode form the today screen, it switches to the manilla 2d interface i believe and doesn't even go horizontal. Is it supposed to be like this? I followed the readme in the Manila3D Landscape folder, was that the right way to get the 3d touchflo in landscape?

Everything else runs great, a coworker changed a setting for me that seemed to help. Under the advanced configuration, under performance he changed the glyph cache to 32kb which seems to have given a performance boost. I just bought my att tilt and would like to say thanks to everyone out there for actually getting some decent software on this phone.

Yes the readme was the correct way BUT The key with the landscape is you need to copy paste toggle manila.exe into your windows file from program files and leave secondToday running in the background!

Yes you can! Its a bit different though! You can use TF3D confiurator ( link on first page!) or you can use cab files! You can find a bunch of goodies here!

The .theme files you need are just .zip files renamed to .theme! Although the themes are in VGA the configurator will rescale them for you!:)

Yes it is quite easy to actually:p that is what the TF3D config is for simply make a folder in "My Device" named "Skins" or whatever you want it to be and then find a theme you want. Put the theme in that folder and then open TF3D config go to apperance and press "path" go to your folder with the skin in it and double-tap it then once you see the theme file tap it once and then press ok then click apply:D now I have noticed that the themes seem to slow down TF3D but maybe thats just me.

What issue are you having with the landscape?
For anyone using TF3D landscape and you are not using -G- V9 you may not have toggle manila, so here it is! Copy it into your windows folder, this is needed for the landscape to work! And here is the white landscape, just copy it into your rlToday folder in program file and overwrite the other! You may want to backup the original if you want the black one back!

I've found it best to use Toggle Manila, then switch device off, Manila will still reload when you unlock device. If I rely on tf3d standby, after switching the device off then back on for the 3rd time, it locks up and requires reset.

I am using Radio 1.65.28.25, but may upgrade to see if there is any change.

Screen rotation is slow when going landscape-portrait-landscape. Also, I can not see any text on screen when in Landscape.(This has been the case for the last few ROMs I've tried.) Any clues?

dashmaster, thanks for that, i did have toggle manila but it just seemed to turn off manila and allowed the device to 'sleep' but then had to toggle twice for it start manilla again...

i went out on a whim today and got the HTC HD aswell...wierd not having any actual hardware buttons....may take some getting used to.

if anyone wants to buy a TyTn II im open to offers other wise itl be a test platform to help you fellas out :)

From reading the other threads on the omnia drivers, the Omnia drivers seem to perform better than the htcclassaction.org drivers. So far, I have had pretty fast performance om TF3D, and no white images. You should try it out as it is just a simple CAB install.

My husband just bought himself a Fuze (which I will be stealing in two weeks) but I wanted to see if I could put something similar on my Tilt. It took me close to an hour to get it all together (flashing a new ROM, installing the TF3D and landscape) but it was well worth it. There are a few Tilts that are out of warranty at his office that I'm planning on doing the same thing to.

Hi, I´m from Argentina, and I have a little issues with touch flo 3d.

I have installed G-Rom dk.9, It works perfect.
I followed all the steps of the 1st post to install TF3D.

And here are my problems:

*While I´m using the kaiser, the backlight turn off (about 30 seconds) and then I have to press a hard key (not the touchscreen), for the backlight turn on again (ie the scroll key). I´ve installed the kaiser tweak program and set te first and second option to disable but the problem persist.

*The Landscape fix dont work perfectly for me. I do all the things to solve the problems but still not work. I leave a second today runing, I copy paste toggle manila, and copy paste the files from "Manila 3d landscape" zip to the windows folder but when I go to landscape mode another application open (toggle manila) but in portrait mode, not in landscape mode

The first issue I could solve it (temporaly) , by setting off, the time to wait to backlight turn off. and I put the device to sleep by pressing the power button. (I´ve installed the stand-by fix). but I think this isn´t the way to solve, because the battery life is poor (if I forget to turn sleep the device :p).

but the second issue I could not do anything to solve it.

Well. I´ll appreciate your help becuase I like TF3D. And it´s close to work perfectly for me...

Dashmaster -- the link in message #18 is OK...(no virus, but it still asks for a password)

EDIT -- Confirmed that downloading from the Mediafire link on the first message gives you a zip of the cabs + the M3D Landscape zip. When you attempt to extract from the M3D Landscape zip, it requests a password.

hmmmm.... I'm just using the extract from the Windows explorer -- nothing fancy, but I am on a tablet running Windows Tablet XP... let me try this at home on a straight XP machine and see what happens. (Not the first time we've found something 'screwy' with TabletXP)

No joy, unfortunately.. now it just gets into a 'This is a readonly or system file, would you like to replace the existing...' loop (same as if I put in a blank).

BTW, I'm looking at the Raphael as well (cost is still a bit high for me tho...)

Sorry, Kaiser... same problem here @ home on standard XP Home (SP3) machine. Download from RapidFile works fine -- gives me a single TF3D(includes landscape) zip. Double click this in File Explorer and select Extract All Files. Extracts to 4 cabs + Manila3DLandscape zip file. If you double click on Manila3DLandscape zip file, then select Extract All Files, it goes to the extraction Wizard, then says that the file Manila3DLandscape is password protected.

If you have already flashed a ROM, then do the same thing to flash another! Make sure you take out your SIM and SD card and hard reset after flashing at the setup screen! Also, look to see what radio is recommended for that ROM! Have fun!:)

Hey all,

Just wanted to chime in with my two cents. I have installed Garmin's rom with TF3D built in and messed around a decent amount. I am to a point now where I am pretty pleased with its operation. A few things though:

1) I find the landscape stuff to be not worth it. I got it operating correctly, and it was decently fast enough to kick in when sliding the keyboard out. BUT after sending a message (for example) and closing and going back to normal TF3D, it took a while. Also... sometimes when sliding the keyboard out after being in an app already (once again my main experience was in the text message part) sometimes that quick button things would try to take over the screen again. All in all I do not think it is worth it, and I am already used to not opening the device unless IN an app (the TF2D that I was using before didn't have any kind of landscape mode, so I got used to it)

2) I tried the Omnia 3D drivers and things seemed a little more sluggish and it did NOT fix the white pics in the photo tab like someone I think suggested it did

3) the Diamond Album DOES fix the white pics error, like others have said... but here is the key that I don't think has been said on this page yet: if you set a button to "rotate screen" (i set the PTT button to) then you will have full functionality in the album (rotate with the button, and slideshow works in landscape view)

So... after setting the tweaks in the tf3d configure app, some in the kaiser tweak app and the schaps advanced config app, and fixing the white photo's.. I can honestly say that this runs pretty comparably fast to the tf2d rom I was using (hyperdragon's) and I am pretty pleased with it.

One question though: I have seen people reference getting the power button to do standby, but I have not seen like an in depth guide on that (I don't think). Is there a way to get it to work without shutting tf3d off and restarting it after (which I think is a proposed solution)? Even if it just turns the screen off and locks the keys... thats all I want

Had right the same problem. Make sure that your D3D Drivers are correctly installed. Simply try reinstalling them manually. That solved the problem for me.

I am trying the S2U2/TF3DStandBy apps. I have read that they provide the quickest standby and return kinda application for TF3D. I was relunctant to because I don't feel the need to emulate the Iphone (just like you) but it seems pretty decent so far (although there are a few bugs which I will look for/address on that thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450556) I just thought I would let you know that I am trying it and relatively pleased so far. There are ways to minimize how much S2U2 kicks in. BUT do you have a link to the cab you are using for standby/how do you feel about the length of time it takes? (particularly to restart touchflo3d) Thanks for the help/suggestions

Hey guys and gals, I found some analog homescreen clocks for TF3D in the Diamond thread in cab form, I extracted the files and compressed them and put them into theme format to be used with TF3D configurator! The cool thing about these clocks is they can be dragged around the screen like a widget! Here are some screen shots and the zip files! To use them you need to extract the folders and put them into your device or on your SD card! The theme files are in the folders but you need to put the folders into your storage for them to work! The clocks were made by Krzyseic and Whiskybro!

Hi... judging from a post a little while up, it seems you may have a ROM which doesn't have D3D installed (or maybe not the latest version). Which ROM are you using?

Hmmm... when I installed the 1.1a version of Standby on my kaiser (running G's TF3D ROM), my screen just dims when I press the power button. It doesn't appear that the unit goes into Standby mode (screen off). Am I missing something?

EDIT -- I have it working now. It appears to have been related to the Today Screen Timeout item. When I unticked this, things started working properly.

hey all sorry about the lapse of replies analog clock sounds quite good. my lapse is due to the fact that I flew into Chicago last night and i am flying back to Texas tonight. I also am working on restoring the MBR on my laptop without a disk drive lol.

No, he meant you need to go into settings and disable TF3D, install TF3D standby, soft reset and then go into settings again to make sure TF3D is checked in plugins! If you install TF3D standby when TF3D is active on the today screen, it may not install correctly!:)

Well, here goes my concern... I've installed -G-'s DK9 rom together with TF3D... and everything seems to be running smoothly, apart of the issues already mentioned here...
It's very pretty and runs pretty fast also in my Kaiser...:)
However, I wonder if it happened to anyone here (I think not, cuz I didn see any topic about it), but my Kaiser does not Sync with my PC anymore... :(
In the past, when I plugged the Kaiser to the PC via USB cable, it detected automatically... even I could sync once and take my calendar and contacts in outlook... but then... it sudenlly stopped working....
Now, when I plug it to the PC, it just starts charging... but nothing else... :(
Does anyone have an idea about this?!

If that doesnt work you have a bad flash and need to hard reset!:(
As far as cab over cooked, I would have to say cooked as cooking it into the ROM ensures that there are no software conflicts and saves space that you can use for othersoftware and speed!:) Hope that helps!

Also, -G- has said he already has some bug fixes for his TF3D, which he will probably include in his DK10 version... I agree, especially with masterchef -G-, I'd stick with the cooked in version.

I would say try them both out and see what you think! Also utopykzebulon's V8 TF3D is awesome too! I just switched to -G-s V10 with APBilbo's Throttle Launcher! Its awesome!:)

I made a hard reset...
All connections seems to be fine...
But it's not connecting yet... :( and if it doesn's sync, I won't be able to flash another rom... :mad:

I installed the WM5torage, to have access to the SD Card, just like a pendrive... but the PC doesn't recognize it either...:(

You're right, I meant the PC version, and since you've already re-installed that, we're on to something else....

Hmmmm.. How about this? On your Kaiser, try changing the Device Name (Settings/System/About/DeviceID to something completely different. Soft Reset, then connect via USB to your PC.

If everything's working properly, it should attempt to set up a new partnership with the Kaiser.

Let me know how that works out. At least it will tell us if Activesync is working properly.

BTW, do you have another USB port handy on your PC?

OK, so now we've eliminated your PC, your USB port, and your cable as the problem -- all these apparently work just fine.

Yeah, it's charging normally... hence, I think that's a problem with the ROM...

The first thing I tried was to plug it in another PC, but didn't work....

I'm just a little bit afraid cuz I've never flashed from SD... always through ActiveSync...:(

But now I think that there's no other choice... I must fight my fear...:p

Hmmmm... well, at least now we're pretty sure it's not a ROM problem, since you've put on 3 ROMS and none of them work with Activesync via USB. OK, we've now eliminated the PC, Activesync, the cable, the ROM...the only thing left is the PDA itself (I think). So, assuming (as you say) that the rest of the Kaiser is working, then we're down to either a pin not connecting in the USB port (i.e. the power/charge one is connecting, but not the data one) or the PDA not being recognized as a USB device.

One more question (although I think I know the answer to this one already). Are you doing a hard reset after you flash a new ROM (at the point that the message comes up to 'Tap the screen to initialize your unit' -- just before you align the screen?

If that's so, then I'm pretty sure we've narrowed it down to hardware -- although not being able to sync via GPRS is a new one. This could be due to proxy settings though, which the ROM may have set automagically. I'm pretty sure you need to turn any of those OFF to make the GPRS-based sync work.

Hi... Yea, there's a couple of 'first of alls' listed here in the thread which aren't in the readme.

1) Make sure you're running a ROM which is compatible with the software. The ROM must have the latest version of the D3D drivers installed. Recommended is Garmin's DK9 final. Some ROMs won't work with this software.

2) Before installing any of the .cabs, make sure all your Today (Settings/Personal/Today/Items) items are unticked. ALso go into your Power settings and make sure to turn off all the Advanced functions for battery and external power. (TF3D doesn't like these).

3) Go ahead and install everything EXCEPT TF3d-Standby-v1.1.

4) Soft Reset

5) After everything starts up again, wait for TF3D to load and get you up to it's home screen. (the digital clock with flipping numbers)

6) Go back into Settings/Personal/Today/Items and untick TF3D.

7) Soft Reset (not really necessary, but a good precaution).

8) Now, load TF3D-Standby-v1.1

9) Once that's completed, soft reset again.

10) Go back into the Today settings and turn on TF3D.

When you exit here, TF3D should reload itself, and if you look under the task manager (bar thingy in the top right corner), you should see START.exe running. DO NOT SHUT THIS DOWN..

So, you should be all set. Now, when you press the power button, there will be a short pause, then the unit will shut down TF3D and put itself in sleep mode. When you power back on, it will take a moment for TF3D to start up again.

BTW -- a long press of the END CALL button (red one) will put the unit in 'locked' mode.

Let us know how you make out.

Well, I really wonder if this is a hardware problem... but can not discard this possibility... cuz it was working normally...
The strange thing is that when I connect it in a PC which it was never connected it tries to install like a common unknown USB device, but do not works after that....:(

If there's one thing that I take care, it's my PDA...:)

The other answer is "yes" also... everytime I flash a ROM I perform a hard reset on the PDA...

Regarding the last issue I mentioned.... I just waited a little bit and tried to sync again (through GPRS)... maybe it was just a traffic or connection issue...:D

At that time I was in the office, and now I'm at home, and also tried to connect it with my laptop (running Vista)... and also the same issue...:(... it tries to install like a USB device, but gives the error saying that it can not be installed...

when you say install everything do you mean the stuff inside manilla landscape as well. cuz i did those too and when i soft reset i dont get the clock, i get 6 buttons: email message favorites appt tasks and note, and its not like manilla they are all on the today screen.

i am going to uninstall the landscape cabs and see how that goes.

and if i follow your steps when would i do the landscape? in there somewhere or after everything is set? sorry again for being a newbie. and thanks for the help.

ok...i uninstalled the landscape cabs and followed the steps to a T. and after all is said and done my today screen just says tap here to launch touchflo 3d...and than it says launching touchflo 3d and than just flickers back and forth. i guess it doesnt work with hyperdragon III.

I have a TYTN II with 6.1 and i just installed the touch flo3d.Because I'm new to this kind of smart phones I simply took the the cabs from the download, I created a folder on my mobile phone and installed all of them except the landscape. At some point 2 applications post it on my phone that I may not work with this version of windows. I finishd installing all the applications, I reset it and..... the Touch flo3d doesn't launch. It says launching touch flo 3d.... and then it says "tap here to launch touch flo 3d". Can you help me please?

I have heard that sometimes the Omnia drivers work and sometimes they dont, but most often they dont! All I have ever used with TF3D is the HTC class action drivers! Here is a cab install this and see if it helps! If it doesnt we can go from there!:)

Sorry it didnt work! I have only used it with Garmins ROMs! I think it works best because he uses the same base ROM to cook TF3D into so it all works from the start! Another one to try is utopykzebulon's TF3D V8! It's a solid stable ROM and he has compressed it to use less space and everything works no need to tweek it much! :)

by my memory ( corrupted :rolleyes: )
unistall previous tf3d
disable every TF in your device ( m2d HTC-home and any application use direct draw like icontact etc...) to make your device "clean" Soft reset
install latest Htc-ca drivers soft reset (every time don't start m2d etc... if not stop it)
install Tf3d cab go to setting->today->items and unchecked tf3d -SR
now go to tf3d and check it and SR
i hope now you have TF3D running , if not make some additional -SR

you will prefer some latest rom whit HTC-ca drivers cocked in, i have installed tf3d whitout problem in many Roms like Sj rom's PDA rom's T.i.R. rom's Athine rom's L_26 (not tf3d) rom's and obviously -G- rom's

wierd thing...i was going to start thru quickmenu and wanted to go to remove programs to uninstall everything and try restarting, and it kinda froze up for a few seconds than voila...tf3d in my background. everything looks pretty sweet, besides being a little slow with pics and music and weather. i may try the -G- rom to see if its any faster.

Hi Guys...

Well... I have to say that what someone said here was right...
it was a hardware problem indeed... for some reason, 2 pins where the cab fits were down... hence the PDA did not sync with the computer...
I lifted both pins with a little knife, and it connected!!!:D:D

Now, let's get back to work and do some testings with TF3D!!!:D

I installed DK10 and the TF3D in it.... and it seems to be quite the same regarding the performance.... I'll do some testings and then I'll install G's ROM with TF3D cooked... and then I'll see which is faster and smoother...

Not bad. Having this on PDA Corner Ultimate (Non-M2D) coupled with the HTC-CA drivers makes TF3D pretty snappy. There's still some tweaking that needs to be done to have this available for "everyday use" (for some dumb reason, the Landscape cab doesn't work right on my Tilt; it gives me SecondToday in portrait), but still decent nonetheless...

I am using Vista and Sync Center. My phone is displayed there as disconnected (Though I here the ping of connection that vista generates). I can't open the synv partnership in order to re-enable the usb connection.

Please.... can any one help here? Howw do I re-enable USB connection and sync with my Kaiser again?

Hey guys,

Managed to install all - except for the landscape (couldn't wait to test it).
Do my disappointment, The camera, though operated by either the tab or the camera button, was not showing any actual picture.

Further more, though installing the Audio cab I could not hear any sounds: beeps ring tone or music (though vibrate worked fine).

The audio cab enabled me to work the music tab - presenting songs and presumably playing them. I say presumably, because the seconds did seem to show progress. But I could hear nothing.

The TF3D config though improved the reaction speed, did not remove any of the tabs I unselected :(

When scrolling through the pictures displayed in 3D (which is quite cool) sometime went into presentation mode and sometime displayed a "paint brush" like - red & white thin line marking my finger movement.

All in all - very disapointed. Had to remove it and restore my old kaiser ROM :(

Thanks for the TF3D-QVGA package. I tried on the TC and it worked. My TC has Khanx ROM and it works smoothly. I could not install the diamond album thing coz it wont let me therefore the white pics remain.

Very nice job...cant wait to see what is next. For the TC there are still issues with this package but I am happy that I have tried it. I had to uninstall it using SKtools but for a short time the TLF3D on my TC was cool. Possibility is endless!

there is a setting in Advance configurator to turn the vibrate off! Have you tried any of the ROM with TF3D cooked in yet! There are some realy good ones out there! :)

You have installed TouchResponse , there isn't TF3D related , is a driver make for this : vibrate when you touch the screen.

I mean somtimes i want to press e.g. a button on the Windows configuration screen, nothing happens aftern 2-3 seconds, it works.

did you extract the TF3D CAB from the ZIP file before you installed it? also it may be that loading the contacts from pimbackup was the problem although that doesnt seem likely.

I tried a few things but couldnt get it to reload
Ive been using pim since wm 5 and did notice that some of my contacts popped up in wm61 with some really old pics which arent actually on my system somehow embedded in the contact. these did show up on the people 3d rolodex tab. I uninstalled and reinstalled tf3d changed theme went into default contacts and changed the 6 contacts pics to stock pics on image and multiple soft resets and still couldnt get it to load. so I just hard reset it. still setting up.

I've installed the standby-fix, the power-on/off button is ok, but the standby after a defined time is not working, my MDA still stands active.

not all roms are compatable I tried to install this on a stock att 6.1 rom and had the same problem as you. the original poster recomedns Gs dk10 rom as working with it.

RUIZ, first is even TF3D working on the ATT stock ROM? Because I thought that ROM didnt even have the drivers, but if it is working does your start menu not pop-up but it turns white though? If thats the case try using the hardware keys as if the start menu was still there.

TWISTEDME, so it seems the problem was kindve pim backups fault with embedding the contact and all but don't try to do a un-install/re-install un-installing a program never gets all of it so its best to do a hard-reset as you did also BEFORE installing TF3D the next time try restoring your contacts with PIM back-up and then changing their pictures to whatever, then install TF3D.

BOBBLE, i will answer this question since much isn't covered about it standby after a set amount of time WILL NOT WORK while TF3D is active you MUST put the device into sleep using the power button or else it will not sleep, also as for your first question I realize that you can't use -G-'s ROM since you need a German ROM but I don't think the delay is caused by TF3D it is most likely a ROM problem

Remember to have the drivers everyone they are very important ;)

TWISTEDME, so it seems the problem was kindve pim backups fault with embedding the contact and all but don't try to do a un-install/re-install un-installing a program never gets all of it so its best to do a hard-reset as you did also BEFORE installing TF3D the next time try restoring your contacts with PIM back-up and then changing their pictures to whatever, then install TF3D.



Yes thats exactly what I did so far so good. Either that or it was me dumping opal dialer and then the jade slide fix onto dk10 cause I forgot that (the slider) only shows up when you get a call and I thought it wasnt part of dk10 rom ;P

Im still trying to dial in my settings I found out the hardway to
disable autotime zone and also im a little confused on the tf3d standby instructions

are we suposed to set our device to sleep (i did and it hung like a sumbitch) I disabled it and seems fairly stable all day.

I did read in this thread or another one that the tf3d standby works when you hit the power button and not by letting the device go into sleep on its own.


What about opera anyway to get it working from the sd card? or atleast set it to use the sd for its cache/cookies/history etc?

any extra tweaks you can recomend?

As for tf3d config any of the tweaks that I should not try on the tilt or are they all safe? thanks again

TWISTEDME, For standby disable the auto-sleep function in the power settings and then also disable the TF3D today-screen plug-in.(in the Today settings)then when you are sure TF3D and the auto-sleep function is disabled install the standby CAB, soft-reset, and re-enable TF3D. DONT re-enable allowing the auto-sleep it wont work. As, for the tweaks as far as I know all the TouchFLO performance tweaks work fine.

Actually, this is a common problem with the 'standard' TF3D provided here. I think you'll find you won't see notifications either, while sitting at the Today screen. It's something to do with TF3D not giving up the screen like it's supposed to. No fix that I know of (yet).

If you are in another application tho, like calculator, calendar, etc. etc., you should see the incoming phone call and/or other notifications just fine.

Kaiser... did this phone skin come standard in DK10 lite, or did you install it separately from the customizaitons?

....and nooo i don't have ask for TouchResponse, is already installed on my device, one of the beast application i have tried , change the felling whit the phone ;)
