i just installed V4. great work. :D thanks lauren !

no problems found so far. i noticed, when i enabled changescreen to rotate manila3d today screen, in landscape mode, the right side of screen is all full of glitched lines with broken color.

Yes I was waiting for this question. :D

Manilla doesn't support landscape.

Solution:

Add Manilla to the list in Changscreen Config to not rotate the screen with it, like this:

Does your Opera also support websites where movie applications are?
For example "uitzendinggemist.nl".
Furhtermore, now finally have Duttys ROM going, lot of werk to customise again when I flah a new ROM.
Will it be possible in the future to get a cab or something for your version of Opera?

I just would like to inform you that Opera causes my HD to freez here.
I try to watch a video on youtube.com and before the video is loaded, I try to exit Opera, select ''exit'' and confirm that with ''OK''; result:Opera freezes during this exit process. I then need to give a soft reset.
Do you have the same? If not what can be the reason? :confused:

Yeah I just noticed this while I was playing with Opera as well.
It only happened one time do, because the times after it didn't freeze anymore.

Be a bit more patient with it, it works. ;)

As tip I would like to give you that IE6 runs much better in my opinion.

I just tried in both Opera and IE6 but with no success.
The Opera I translated from Russian to WWE and I still dont manage to make cabs.

I have an issue with this rom,after an wifi connection the GPRS connection doesn't work.

After rom flashing i configured my operator connection with the Connection Setup,then try the connection and it's work perfectly.
I configured my WLAN with statics IP (NO DHCP active),try the connection and it's work.
Disconnect the WLAN,try to use another time the operator connection...but now it doesn't work,impossible to use Opera,IE6,Manila Weather...only the Wifi works....i try a soft reset but nothing...i don't install any other application on my HD.
The only way to solve this problem is make an hard reset and don't use Wifi...if i return to 1.14 shipped rom all connections work perfectly.

Edit; Just tried same situation as you.

Connected using 3g and switched on wifi and connected to my home network.
Disconnected wifi and 3g still running.
Disconnected 3g switched on wifi again and switched off again.

Connected using 3g, it works fine. :confused:

Just another question L26: I do not able to get flash video's (at for example youtube.com) loaded/playing inside the browsers IE6 and Opera. The only thing I can observe is a black square and a running circle in the middle of the square meaning that the video is loading. I use WiFi or Data Connection but the same result. Any suggestions? Does somebody else have it working? :confused:

Cycle (discharge and charge) the battery completely a few times and you should notice an improvement. If the problem persists, use an official ROM and chances are you will see same high consumption, which means it's not a ROM problem.

I tested both latest official ROM (Arabic) and L26 V3 ROM on my HD and remaining battery % seems to be inaccurate. It is not decreasing evenly, e.g. with the same usage patterns battery will drop down 30% one day and just 10% on the other day. Actual consumption remains the same though.

I have confirmed comparable consumption in LV26V3 and HTC ARA ROMs (on 1900MHz EDGE network):
68ma when idle with screen dimmed to lowest brightness (not too bad for a device with a 800x480 screen, my Trinity with 320x200 consumes 55ma in the same mode!)
100-150ma when idle with screen at average brightness
150-250ma when using wi-fi
350ma when in a phone call

I got my battery depleted after 9h of active usage spanned across 72 hours, whereas acbBatteryMeter was reporting ~900mah consumed. With 1350mah battery 1/3 of the capacity remains unaccounted for. Sleep time consumption should be minimal, probably under 10% of battery capacity over these 3 days (as per HTC official specs, Touch HD is capable of 3900 hours ~=24 days of standby while in GSM mode). The device shouldn't consume this amount of juice while sleeping... I'm still trying to figure out how to measure consumption in sleep mode.

I'd say an average user can expect 9 to 12 hours of active usage from his stock HD battery.

Flashing a new ROM will also reset your battery calibration. Only flash when the battery is 100% full and you shouldnt get the problem. If you do then your battery is faulty.

Could it be the battery indicator in percentages,
maybe that's why the shipped rom battery indicator only has 4 bars by default?

In V4 I've cooked it in as cab so it's uninstallable.

Also I have noticed that the first percentages of battery go fast but around 60% it takes a lot longer before it drops.

I can easy play with the rom all day.

A couple of Quick Questions:

-In your opinion do the new ATI drivers enhance performance as compared to the stock drivers? (I've read mixed reviews and am unsure if these drivers are an improvement).
-Did you incorporate the latest Hot Fixes in this Rom?

Where to get language for Ezinput that has support for ä and ö? Finnish map would be best, but also Swedish would work for me. The vga and qvga versions I found did not seem to work.

I use the V3 now,just wonder i guess DEFAULT the HD had the same features like IPHONE is when u make the fone call,the screen auto turn off,but when the fone far from ur ear it will be turn on rite?

How come i use the HD V3 doesnt do that?how ab the V4 or i have to go somewhere to turn that features on?

It will work (both Finnish and Swedish) if L26 is able to add support for this cab: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402121

It works with other HD WWE rom's, so the cab is everything needed. I will check if it works with V4 now, unfortunately it didn't work with V3.

Edit: Just flashed, not working in V4 either. :/

I think several hotfixes have been pulled from the HTC sight because they were full of bugs. You lucky dog in Sydney while we freeze!

I've try both V3 & V4. I can only play youtube video in bowers for one time after that video only loading forever and nothing can be play, pls help

Wierd thing happened to me after flashing v4; Opera wouldn't work, giving a strange "service unavailable here" error. Tried IE, which worked, ran Opera from startbar menu (located in comms submenu), which crashed...

BUT now everything (IE and Opera) works!

Strange...

BTW: nice ROM! Thanks for the hard work. Can I ask why the change from Gyrator to the other program, though?

I'm having another problem. I have included the Phone app not to switch screen to landscape mode. Well that works fine. But when I'm in Opera or text landscape mode, the screen switches fine and in a splot second, the phone app popsup in potrait mode and even if I close the app, it keeps popping up not allowing ,e the landscape mode of any of the apps I want. Anyone else having this problem?

The flash works fine for me. Either way, great job with this ROM.

Awesome Rom. Hi Laurentius26, how do you use the newest voip client? there is no seletion in touch 3D. Either I cant find any setting from phone setting. Another problem is that I cant use sip config tool. After I entered the sip information or enable voip over 3g, it always says error( an unexpected error has occurred in sipconfig.exe) and ask me to quit? In version 1, it was ok. Thanks

Yeah it's easy,

browse into 'Windows\Startmenu' with Total Commander and copy/paste the shortcut's to where you like.

Windows\Startmenu\Programs\Games
Windows\Startmenu\GPS

Leo, I loaded V4 right after you posted and stayed up all night playing....err, I mean testing. My boss is asking why I'm sleeping on the job. :D It is the best Blackstone ROM I've used and that's saying something, because the quality of cooked ROM's on this forum is amazing!!

Huge Battery leak. Within hour, No WiFi, No phone calls. Only Active Synch with Exchange server and IMAP every half hour for one gmail account. 12% battery lost after fully charge.

Is anyone else facing this issue.. Any recommendatoins.. I really love this ROM and do not want to go back or to any other ROM. Please advice.

I flashed this rom about 20 hours ago on a 75% battery and after much messing about with youtube wifi bluetooth etc etc i still have 35% power remaining so i havent experienced any battery drain over and about what i consider to be normal.

I am experiencing the opera / youtube problem where i can only play a movie once but asside from that, good rom.

One thing, i liked the icons on my last rom by laziarus (think thats his name, the lite/heavy rom dude) is there any way to get those icons as a cab for this rom or do i need to cook a rom myself to get this functionality?

Good rom tho m8, once ive fully tested and settled on this as a main rom i`ll buy you a beer for your efforts.

So far the only issue i've had its opera, already 2 crash's when closing, i was browsing this forum, and when i close the browser crashes, i have to soft reset taking the battery cover. I was browsing with Wi-FI.

I don't have any of the problems you describe: You Tube video though PIE has worked fine for me. Give PIE a try, see if that works, just to test is maybe your wifi (?) is the culprit. Opera and wifi works fine for me...so I'm sorry to say I have no other advise for you.

I started with 75% battery after I flash V4. Since then (without charging) I had a 90 minute conference call, a couple of short (1-10 calls), played with Wi-Fi/browser an hour, maybe 90 min, listened to an hour music via BT and read Mobipocket ebook an hour. Stayed up all night plaing with it....now battery is 36%.

Is it working fine ? Able to connect ? What VoIP provider you use ?
You able to make calls, other party can hear you w/o problems? Echo ?
Does sound come via internal speaker or it is through speakerphone ?

Sorry for all those questions, but the only thing i'm missing from my old HTC Wizard is native VoIP. Do not even start about fring/Skype :)

Bogtatov, afaik any VoIP you get on the HD will NOT be any kind of native; it will always be third party, be it Skype, fring, google's implementation or whatever.

As for battery life...no problems here either. I started at 100%, and after near three quearters day use I'm on 70-75%. The first bit went a bit fast on the indicator, I guess, but it's battery TIME which is important, not what's indicated.

Then again, if you have Beam recieve on, bluetooth on and wifi on constantly, and are getting email every quarter of an hour, NO WONDER your battery drops like a stone.

I don't have any of the problems you describe: You Tube video though PIE has worked fine for me. Give PIE a try, see if that works, just to test is maybe your wifi (?) is the culprit. Opera and wifi works fine for me...so I'm sorry to say I have no other advise for you.

I started with 75% battery after I flash V4. Since then (without charging) I had a 90 minute conference call, a couple of short (1-10 calls), played with Wi-Fi/browser an hour, maybe 90 min, listened to an hour music via BT and read Mobipocket ebook an hour. Stayed up all night plaing with it....now battery is 36%.

With a browser like opera whats the point using IE?
For youtube i use the youtube program/browser, i've tried to instal the htc screen fix to see if solve the problem, but gave me a error.

BTW no battery problems here also.

For those o have problems with battery try to flash the rom with sd card out, and with battery fully charge.

Ok.. here is what solved my battery drain problem.. "Hard Reset". AWESOM ROM!

I disabled the screen change app due to the problem I mentioned before. The phone app (which was excluded in the screen change app), keeps popping up when I go to landscape mode in email, opera and Text message apps. Weared problem.. I see no one else mentioning it.

The only other reason I see that is becasue I'm using the S2U2 screen lock. That might be the culprit. But then again, I got used to typing in potriat mode.. so no big deal with the Screen Change app.

Bogtatov, afaik any VoIP you get on the HD will NOT be any kind of native; it will always be third party, be it Skype, fring, google's implementation or whatever.

Not really. E.g. with Wizard you just inctall voip cab, configure voip with sipconfig and now you have today's plugin with voip

When you switch to Voip on that plugin, all you calls are routed through voip. You DO NOT use any 3rd party app. You use EXACTLY same dialer, contacts, etc. You dont start any application. Obviously you have to have Wifi or 3G.
Basically it looks very similar to when you are using different mobile provider, e.g. T-Mobile instead of ATT.

I have no issues with battery or other things, but IE crashed twice in the first two attempts, after that no problem.

But IE don't have the "Zoom In" and "Landscape Mode" functions in this ROM? and i don't really able to feel any change in the speed.... :confused:

I flashed your last ROM but I have to tell you that I experienced a freeze in Opera screen when I tryed to write an address in address bar. The only way to get out of this was by removing battery! :confused:
Regarding battery problem, I flashed ROM with fully charged battery, and then fooling arround with the phone, in about 30 minutes I experienced a drop from 96% to 86%..... I know this gets to your nerves, but this is really a problem to some of us..... :mad:

Just wanted to tell you about it.
I want you to know that I flashed almost every ROM that appeared on this forum just for the fun of it, so I respect your work, as every one elses around.

Mmm.. it was a new adventure this Change screen app, it has a nice interface with many option's.
But my priority is still flash in IE and Opera, so if it conflict's I will take it out.

It's easy to install the cab yourself if you miss it.

HTC BCR is a package from another romdump I made.

Here is the same. No use for Change Screen coz it's crashing Opera :(

Anyway well done L26 and thank you for this piece of software.

It will work (both Finnish and Swedish) if L26 is able to add support for this cab: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402121

It works with other HD WWE rom's, so the cab is everything needed. I will check if it works with V4 now, unfortunately it didn't work with V3.

Edit: Just flashed, not working in V4 either. :/

First the issue was the "mscoree.dll" which I could resolve by manually renaming the original one with the total commander
Now the issue I can't resolve is:
GACing: failed.
Unable to add files to GAC. Installation aborted.

Is this a issue of your ROM or did i do something wrong?
I saw you included an ".Net Configuartion" tool which tells me no .net version is installed.

Edit: I have just done a hard reset and I get the same error with the GACing.

Thanks for your great work! I currently have a German ROM and it drives me crazy (due to the bad translation and the much longer texts), so I'm going to flash your ROM soon.

Will you include the ICR in your next version? I saw you over at the ICR thread and I hope you also like that feature.

One request regarding that: is it possible to make ICR record every call by default (so that I don't need to manually enable it every time)? It'd be nice to be asked after the call if I want to keep the recording or not, etc. Maybe this is already possible with the ICR program, but I can't test it yet due to my German ROM on which ICR with the English MUI doesn't seem to work.

Actualy this is pretty hard to share.

It's part of the new kitchen somebody gave me.
I don't have the .nbf and all packages don't have .dsm or .rgu.

The new kitchen doesn't cook with rgu's or dsm's included.
So I can share but it will be of no use for you. :(

Also os.nb in the kitchen is empty!

This sounds rediculous I know but it's thrue. :o

Pagepool is still a problem even with pagepool patcher, V4 is not patched to 8mb but default.
Currently I'm investigating how to accomplish a thrue pagepool.

Probably it's because I've implemented the 3d driver.

Modify the registry like this and see if it works for you:
(Don't forget to softreset when you changed!)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\D3DM\Drivers]
"LocalHook"="htc_d3dm.dll"

TRE regeditor is included in rom, Start\Programs\Utilities\

When I run Igo 8 I got an out of memory with the pagepool. Is it possibel that this happens because you are running fix 8mb pagepool? What can I do to fix this? I really use this app a lot.I've noticed also that Igo 8 is reacting slow with your rom I think this has also to do with the pagepool.

I'm glad it solved your problem.
You cannot use the other cab (if you mean the multi language one which is just a reg file) as it don't call for the other keyboards such as the different compact qwerty's but only works with full querty if the PQwertyxxxx.txt files is present.

Default Ezinput that comes with the shipped rom only support's 5 languages!

French, German, Italien, Spanish and WWE which we all support!

Extra language's we've added are Czech, Dutch, Polish and Portuguese.

The multilang keyboard is not my work but DubinBJK's and I appriciate his work a lot.
He made this keyboard exclusive for this rom.

We like to give Ezinput language support one by one in your native language, that's why the language cabs on post #2 page 1.

You can pick your native language and install (default in this rom it comes with WWE).

To keep the speed in the keyboard and not taking to much memory plus your native language support we do this.

Currently I'm working on a multilang kitchen so maybe in futhere I will also release rom's in multilanguage's.

I think L26 has removed all the files needed for other language support coz I can only find the english files in his ROM, maybe because of space as it takes around 3MB for all languages

Love the ROM, works quite well.

Only issue : some site with flash freeze my device, i guess it's too much to handle for the device (on a PC some of those flash file suck all the CPU). I guess it would be great to be able to deactivate/activate flash.

One thing i like about the original flash version was the vibration when you click on a link ... would be great to have it (i deactivated the vibration feedback feature)

Hi Laurentius,
When I run Igo 8 I got an out of memory with the pagepool. Is it possibel that this happens because you are running fix 8mb pagepool? What can I do to fix this? I really use this app a lot.I've noticed also that Igo 8 is reacting slow with your rom I think this has also to do with the pagepool.
I have V4 running and I love it.

Pagepool is still a problem even with pagepool patcher, V4 is not patched to 8mb but default.
Currently I'm investigating how to accomplish a thrue pagepool.

Probably it's because I've implemented the 3d driver.

Modify the registry like this and see if it works for you:
(Don't forget to softreset when you changed!)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\D3DM\Drivers]
"LocalHook"="htc_d3dm.dll"

TRE regeditor is included in rom, Start\Programs\Utilities\

@peterkef, I am having the same problem with tomtom7, it closes with the out of memory error too. Did you try the registry edit above? If so, did it work?

Dear Lurentius,
I'm using your ROM (V4) without problems but today this strange thing regarding calendar happened. Yesterday night before going to sleep I left the phone in charge and went to bed. This morning I took the phone (correctly charged) and on the main page of manila the clock was ok but the appointments were not updated.
In other words my appointments of today were rapresented following the "Tomorrow" diciture like if the calendar rapresentation was not updated.
After a soft reset all ok, but I was quite disappointed by this mistake, I had this phone also to avoid to miss anything planned!!! ;)
I'm the only one who encountered this problem?
Is there available a solution yet?

Mmm.. it was a new adventure this Change screen app, it has a nice interface with many option's.
But my priority is still flash in IE and Opera, so if it conflict's I will take it out.

It's easy to install the cab yourself if you miss it.

HTC BCR is a package from another romdump I made.

I thought it was that ap too, but it was coincidence.
I have disable it, and still have some random crashes, so leave it in your rom, its a good ap.

Just wanted to throw out that this ROM is pretty great right now, and the only things that need be added are updates / enhancements / fixes etc...

A new app or two is always nice, but I just wanted to make the statement that a ROM is better when it's not too bloated, and there have been 3 or 4 requests for apps since V4 and I for one would rather add on my own things as cab's or something...

I don't usually ever run anyone elses roms and always create my own...its rare that I run anothers roms (very often because of the bloating), but this one I have stuck with and have been pretty happy. Please keep us users who like relatively clean roms (I'm not trying to say make it feature bare, just...let's not over do it) in mind.

MAYBE a light / full version? Idk..then there are 2 versions to maintain of course...just throwing out my 2 cents.

Currently I'm still trying to find a good solution for playing Youtube and other moving content in Opera.
I'm playing with Java, ActiveX, Flash, NetCF and several Opera builds.

I thought I'll give the ROM a shot and flashed my HD. Everything went well and the device feels really fresh and responsive. Good work!
Now the problem is to import the contacts, calendar etc from outlook.
The device refuses to sync with WMC in Vista. Any thoughts for a solution?? :confused:

I'm sorry to see you will be removing the d3d drivers... that was one of the things I really liked about this ROM (v4). Loved not having to copy and paste after every reset... BTW - This ROM has been rock solid for me... I use Opera all the time and no issues.

Only the drivers to support VOIP I will add.

If you want VOIP over internal speaker I can recommend you this software it works great.
You will also be able to use multiple SIP accounts.

I like this cause have a option only to choose the ap that we wont to rotate, the others i've tried you have to choose the ones you dont wont to rotate, since in my pov there are more app that we don't wont to rotate then we wont.

Instruction:

Download the language cab of your choise and copy to your device.
Browse on your device to the destination you stored it and run from there.
After it's installed do a softrest.

The language will set itself as default in Ezinput softkeyboard.

Enjoy using the softkeyboard in your native language. :)

Hi dagg3r, not sure if you know but the latest version of fring allows you to use the internal speaker too, you just have to enable it in the options "enable earpiece". It works too, I've been using it with voipstunt.

I had already IE6 and Youtube working. I saw some movies from Youtube directly with Internet Explorer 6.

Now, when I try to open a movie from Youtube in IE6, data movie transfer begin, reach about 20% and stops, like IE6 crash.

I would apreciate an help to solve the problem. I already tried others ROMs and got same problem.

Navigating other sites with IE6, everything works properly, may be a little slowly.

L26_THDV5 is to my opinion the most stable base I've produced so far.
YouTube movies play very good in IE6 and overal speed and stability of the rom is much better!

Is this ROM going to be WWE? I really would like this ROM in dutch language.
Your work is highly appreciated and hopefully I won't have to reflash for a long time after this one.

Only because of the dutch language, I've decided to use Dutty's ROM v1.7 NL. It works great and is very stable. I am not planning to flash again until WM7 arrives. But keep up the good work, because I think the Touch HD has much more potential.

No that wasn't the reason.

People who have downloaded the previous upload it's the same version I'm uploading now.
I taught the rom wasn't protected cause of a new uprotection tool but the rom is save.

That was the reason I took it off.

Just tested the volume buttons and they do work here!

Too bad there is no MusicID anymore (I understand why), but why removing PIMBackup and ChangeScreen?

As someone already posted, I have problems with volume buttons, too.
All they do, is that they bring up the volume bar, but then you have to adjust it with the touchscreen.

Is there any way to fix this?

Only rom I can do for you in futher is Czech, because a Slovak rom I've never seen.

Hi,
- well, very good rom but I've a problenm with opera. It doesn't play youtube movie and it doesn't show lens for dynamic zoom. What's happen with it? Where can I download the Opera rom version in order to install it again? What do you advice to me?

- It also seems that battery meter doesn't work properly...after SR it went from 70% to 42%.
