First you need to revert back to a original SPL described here:

If you didn't make a backup of your original rom you can download a rom from the wiki and flash to your device.

What have you done to this one!! Your other 2 were fine but this one is eating my battery to death. It went down that fast i could acutally watch it!

Edit 2; Maybe it's nice to read this thanks to Stepw posted in this thread earlier.

Cycle (discharge and charge) the battery completely a few times and you should notice an improvement. If the problem persists, use an official ROM and chances are you will see same high consumption, which means it's not a ROM problem.

I tested both latest official ROM (Arabic) and L26 V3 ROM on my HD and remaining battery % seems to be inaccurate. It is not decreasing evenly, e.g. with the same usage patterns battery will drop down 30% one day and just 10% on the other day. Actual consumption remains the same though.

I have confirmed comparable consumption in LV26V3 and HTC ARA ROMs (on 1900MHz EDGE network):
68ma when idle with screen dimmed to lowest brightness (not too bad for a device with a 800x480 screen, my Trinity with 320x200 consumes 55ma in the same mode!)
100-150ma when idle with screen at average brightness
150-250ma when using wi-fi
350ma when in a phone call

I got my battery depleted after 9h of active usage spanned across 72 hours, whereas acbBatteryMeter was reporting ~900mah consumed. With 1350mah battery 1/3 of the capacity remains unaccounted for. Sleep time consumption should be minimal, probably under 10% of battery capacity over these 3 days (as per HTC official specs, Touch HD is capable of 3900 hours ~=24 days of standby while in GSM mode). The device shouldn't consume this amount of juice while sleeping... I'm still trying to figure out how to measure consumption in sleep mode.

I'd say an average user can expect 9 to 12 hours of active usage from his stock HD battery.

Are you shure about that?

HardSPL let you flash a customised rom, and shipped SPL will let you Flash a shipped rom in the language that the device is shipped with.
But yes maybe it's a better way to first flash the rom and then flash back to shipped SPL.

YES, for example my original spl accept only TIM Branded Roms, i cannot flash a NoBrand, so i have to use HardSPL o Uspl for flash any rom i like.

It's so freaking weird, all day I played with the rom and it rings without any problem.
I am shocked seeing your message again so I tried and now they don't work. Very anoying.
It can't be a registry or .provxml setting because I compared with another build and they are the same.
Even the ringtones are in OEMDrivers. I checked the .provxml and .rgu and everything seems fine.

I will try to find a solution.

First of all, After a softreset, the device resets to the standard wm_innovation ringtone. Also, if you check HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Ringtone0\Script=av0pw3r
If i'm interpreting that right, the device will: Activate, vibrate 0 secs, Play ringtone, wait for 3 seconds, Repeat.
It seems i can't change the value of that key. So i'm thinking this is your culprit.

Mate, state of the art as HTC says is bullshit marketing.
Touch HD is an amazing piece of HW but it needs quite some SW tuning and third party apps.
Leo is doing his best to cook roms that are way better than the original ones.
So keep visiting this thread regularly.
I am for example on his V6 using Winterface with skins a lot of third party SW and the device is now in a very good state.

This is not something I can fix with a cab, it seems like it's caused by the way the kitchen arranges the packages.
I taught I fixed it by taking registry from another romdump but it didn't help as you noticed now.
I've moved the Metadata to another location in the kitchen.

It seems like I fixed the ringtones this time deffinitly.
I change the ringtone in settings and did a few softresets and it sticks.
Today I'll keep on testing, calling to the phone/playing with the ringtones and if it stays this way I will release another update this afternoon.

Also, originally I was using kwbr's ROM, then he stopped cooking, and I found yours and have loved it. I still watch that thread though, and saw that they have included Chainfire CFC. Supposedly it has something to do with compressing the images in tf3d on the fly in different formats or something, and improves responsiveness of tf3d as well as saves on memory.

What do you think?

Hi! I've just flashed v7 and I'm going to test it the next few days. Initial impression: very good.

However, there are some minor glitches:
1) in "Programs", the icon with the phone and the microphone (probably sound recorder) doesn't have any text.

2) When selecting "All Programs" from TF3D, there's an entry at the top of the list without an icon called "Text". Clicking it doesn't do anything.

3) The ICR app is in the multimedia group - I think this should better be in the normal program group?

4) "GPS", "Multimedia" and "Office Mobile" groups can only be accessed in the start menu. They should show up in the "Programs" group as well. Also, most programs in the start menu can not be found anywhere else.

These seem to be just cosmetical problems, but still it's not nice I think and it should be easy to fix these problems.

Ya I am just about to flash and I really really hope that I notice too! Lol.

And hey ya while I agree that TF3D doesn't necessarily NEED any improvements....we would all still benefit from them. More speed is always better, and you have to admit that at times TF3D can be pretty slow / laggy / jumpy (mostly only when clicking the music or photos tab, but still, these are probably the areas where this fix will help the most).

Just my thoughts, I cast my vote as a strong yes for including this.

This rom is cooked without the ATI drivers.

The Font Size of Program and Setting folders is a little too small for me to read. Is there any registry edit that I can increase the font size to the default like the shipped rom?

OK, I managed to use HD Tweak to change from 4 columns to 3 columns. I then used Advanced Config to change the font size from 6 to 8.

For (1) the icon without text is "Cyberon Voice Speed Dial". Goto to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs look for a lnk with no filename and rename it to Cyberon Voice Speed Dial.ink. This will solve (2) where u see no icon called "Text"

For (4) u can copy the 3 folders in \Windows\Start Menu into \Windows\Start Menu\Programs

If you like Multimedia or GPS in programs it's a quick step to do so.

Start/Settings/menus and deslect them from startmenu viola. :)

Offcourse higher builds exist but I've used the latest stuff for HD.

All other System build numbers are ported from other devices so you will have a mix of different builds putted together to make it look higher and compatible for your device.

I like to use trusted sources.

I have been playing with the new ROM for 1/2 days and no major problem so far. This ROM is definitely a keeper as I really don't want to keep on flashing ROMs every week.

It will only set Dutch as default language but you will be able to switch.

test showed lower score than the original rom and other cooked roms.

Based on what I'm reading here I'm excited about the new v7.0 and plan to flash it today.

I just have a quick question about the versions of the HTC apps installed in this ROM. I've noticed that Duttys v1.7 lists a number of updated HTC apps here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3059268&postcount=2). Indeed the version numbers that Duttys lists here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3059267&postcount=1) seem more recent than those given in post #3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3102510&postcount=3).

So I'm wondering whether if the HTC apps are actually the same in both ROMs -- maybe post #3 just needs to be updated to accurately reflect the actual version numbers.

I think i have some left over ringtone issues, I use it with radio 1.10.25.25 also use MSVC 1.6.9214, sometime the ringtone stops, I still have the MSVC voice annouce so I get the call.

I noticed that when I set an MP3 as ring tone (selecting from explorer: "set as ringtone" the rings didn't work, at the setting screens I saw the ringtone I selected, after soft reset the rings worked but with default windows mobile tune, I set to my ring tone and it stopped working, soft reset and it worked with my ringtone, could it be that after a ring tone change a soft reset is needed? (havn't tested this fully)

BTW: at v6 I used your ringtone fix cab (was it for v6.1 only?) and it messed up activesync which couldn't sync to my exchange account with error 80004005, took me alot of time to find it was that as I put the cab in UC and it also messed up activesync in other roms.

Opera is autoinstalled after hardreset because I've added it as cab.

No I don't think it can be solved that way.
There's no error in the .xml it only deïnstall's the previous language if you install a cab. Which is logical I think.

In the setup.xml of the dutch language pack it says AppName = BJK HTC EzInput 1.5 LPack-EN RTW

Therefore it tries to uninstall the EN language pack. If you compare this to the german language pack, the AppName = BJK HTC EzInput 1.5 LPack-DE RTW.
It will therfore install the german language pack side by side, whereas if you install the dutch one, it will see the EN version already installed...

This looks like a small mistake to me, which causes this problem. Please correct me if I am wrong...

I used WinCE Cab manager to modify the dutch language pack cab file. I just changed the AppName property in the setup.xml and it worked!!! I now have Dutch, English and German languages installed side by side and can switch between all 3.
I've attached the modified CAB to this reply...

Hi L26,

I have the followings issue: when I connect my HD with my notebook via USB cable for synchronization, the battery icon changes to charging icon on the right up side of the screen because of that my notebook charges it. This is OK but when I remove the USB cable between my HD and the notebook, the charging icon stays still on the right up side screen and do not change back to battery icon as required. The only way (solution) is a soft reset to get the battery icon again visible. :(

Does somebody else the same bug?

Great rom. I have used it for about 12h now and everything is alot faster. Example: When opening the Windows directory with a file explorer, with the old rom it took about 10 secs for the app to open it. Now it takes just over 1 sec :D

I've tested this rom for days now.

All ringtones tested one by one.

Wifi/GPS/Bluetooth/Internet playing with the phone full power.
All option's I'm trying to reproduce the bug.

SO FAR I DIDN'T HAVE ONES THE PHONE NOT RINGING !!!

I'm calling like grazy to the phone the last few days! :(

Installed software:

- Egress Reader
- Navizon
- BlueAudio3




So please people who report this (((bug))),
be more specific about what software you use so I can analyse what it could cause !!!

I stumbled on the ringtone bug with v7.0 going to flash now to v7.1,
What was your software conflict which cause this?

Testing Version 7.1. Very fast and stable. Installed a lot of programas in version 7 and ringtones work as a charm.
I'll report tomorrow if will continuing to work on this release.

only fixed the few bugs the people reported and added ATI drivers. :)

Trying to make the rom bug free which I managed with V7.1 I think so I can role out the other languages next week.

It seems like the rom scores 70 point's higher with ATI included using GL Benchmark.

I hope NEO will explain later because I'm not an expert in this.

I've attached Diamond Hologram below which works excelent with V7.1.

"Short tones" don't work either. Can you check that out? Maybe it's something on my side here .... I don't know. No biggie anyway, since I used to turn of dialpad sounds anyway ;-)

I'll try and explain it a bit for you.

After a few tests I got an overall speed improvement in most GLBenchmark tests. In the past i could get better results, but only if i'd change the resolution to HALF the original size for blackstone. (=240x400)
In previous tests i never got the same high results as with this rom.

And best of yet, this rom isn't only fast in benchmarks, but ALSO in use. And combined with being capable of running most 3D graphics and games out there, this is what counts!

I seem to have a problem with installing the language pack.. I have installed the rom and then the Swedish language pack from the post in the beginning of this thread, but it refuses to show a Swedish keyboard layout. There is no difference anywhere after installing it, not in menus (is it supposed to or is it only the layout?) and not in the layout of the qwerty in SMS-mode. Any idea what might have gone wrong?

It can find the ati drivers...the thing is that after a soft reset, for some reason the ati drivers are a lot smaller than they used to be. I have the drivers on my SDcard so I can copy/paste them (you will see an 'overwrite file?' dialogue showing the different filesizes) and the program works again.

However, with L26v7.1, the drivers are built in, so maybe a softreset won't changet he filesize and it will not be neccessary anymore...I'll tell you in a couple of hours when my HD is full power so I can flash to v7.1 :)

Offcourse higher builds exist but I've used the latest stuff for HD.

All other System build numbers are ported from other devices so you will have a mix of different builds putted together to make it look higher and compatible for your device.

I like to use trusted sources.

I had it fully charged, flash V7, and have about 95% when I go to sleep last night, 9 hrs later, still have 80%... Don't have the problem you had. But one thing I noticed is that when the bat is below 30%, the meter seems to run faster than when it is full. Maybe the problem is from the way the battery is designed or the % indicator is calculated.

I do have one problem now, have to flash again just after 12 hrs.... :mad:

I have about 5 internet emails accounts, some I set to retrieve every 15 mins, some set at 1hr. I am quite happy with 15% drain... :D with my Diamond, it was about 30%

Regarding battery drain, I got NONE, nada. Well 1% after 7 hours of sleep. Went to bed with 100% and this morning I got 99%. No BT, WIFI or anything else enabled, phone in standby and G-Alarm set for wakeup.

i flashed V7, and i called some people. it all connected but NO SOUND ON BOTH SIDE! so i press the volume up button. it all 0% sound. after i press it till 100% sound, it stilll no sound on both side. it go back to 0% when i press the volume up button again.


now im flashing back to V5...sorry laurent, i suffer this really fatal problem. is it possible that i installed yota contacts ?

For sure this is not a ROM problem, must be your fault, sorry to say. For me, sound while on a call works perfectly fine.

BATT drain is very good... so reflash the ROM.....

Use the SD flash option... just rename the file if needed..

1.Copy BLACIMG.NBH into the root dir of your Storage Card.
2. Be sure to have at least 30% of charge.
3. Turn off your device by using the Power Button
4. Go to bootloader mode. Push and hold Vol Down + press Power button.
5. As soon as presented the message, push Power button to start flashing or Volume Down button to cancel.
6. The whole procedure will take about 3 minutes. After you finish and see the relative message, soft reset your device, you are ready.

Hi, can I confirm that the ringtone bug is fixed in 7.1? I'm using WWE 7.0 and have 'vibrate then ring' set in sounds and notifications, and Birds2 as the ringtone.

Most of the time the phone doesnt vibrate or ring when receiving a call.

I don't use Yota contact (whatever that is)

Update:
Set birds2 in sounds & notifications. received a call - no ringtone. Checked sounds & notifications - now set to Ring-WindowsMob? Called again no ringtone. answered the call and hung up. Called again WindowsMob ringtone played fine. Changed it to Birds2 and called again - ringtone played fine and Birds2 persisted as a setting. Soft reset phone and ringtone still working.

I've had this happen before with the same ROM (v7). Something I will do will cause the ringtone to stop working. I'll try and see what it is.

When you open Settings/System there is an icon for Customer Feedback, but when you try to run it, it says "The file 'ceipui' cannot be opened. ...bla bla" (not trusted or missing). I've got this since v5 or v6, I'm not sure.

Once again, great work and great ROM. I can't imagine how you manage to release new versions this fast. I can hardly keep up flashing them.

What exactly is the "ringtone bug"? I set my custom standard ringtone as usual (24CTU.mp3 hehe) and it works like a charm. Plus custom ringtones, also mp3s, for selected contacts work absolutely without a hitch.

I disabled "vibrate on touch" on vibrate menu, and enabled "only for on-screen keyboard" on advanced menu. I wanted touch response only on keyboard, not on the rest of the screen. In worked with pre 7 versions of this rom.

this exactly i did too..it is crazy...the one of dll's after softreset just disapears and hologram isn't working anymore :confused:

I'm still running V7. I had the ringtone bug from v6 and v6.1. I've been testing my phone for a while, and it seems my ringtone problem is gone. Still, i had the problem JUST after flashing v7 too...

I'll have to test it for one more day. I ask others to also test it for a day before reporting the bugs here. Maybe you'll figure out why the bugs occur.

For now I don't think a new rom needs to be released for me it it's working fine for a couple of days now!

Still trying to reproduce what some people are reporting do but so far no bug for me.

Your not crazy... same occurs for me. Sometimes it rings sometimes not. A key point though and I dont know if it hit home earlier when I reported it....

When its not working, the ring tone switches back to Ring-WindowsMob, no matter what its previously set to. When its working, whatever ringtone you set persists as expected.

Leo some feedback for you..

1. Have been monitoring RAM loss...negligible over 24 hrs..Good work.

2. Have been trying latest Radio (1.09.25.35). It works very well with your ROM. Battery performance is on par with 1.10 Radio, but this one gives me much better signal strength and quicker GPS fix.

Your not crazy... same occurs for me. Sometimes it rings sometimes not. A key point though and I dont know if it hit home earlier when I reported it....

When its not working, the ring tone switches back to Ring-WindowsMob, no matter what its previously set to. When its working, whatever ringtone you set persists as expected.

ANd another question is possible to deactivate activesync i close everytime this app but is still there

Also I would like to know which software you have installed to reproduce what you are doing !!!

I just arrived home had two calls meanwhile and the ringtones are working ok,
