OK, it is just for those who did pay there device in an arabic country. if not the arabizer package will not install :( . (b.t.w you have to do a hard reset to complete the installation of the arabic package and this really sucks because it takes long time to do! )

BUT there is some how a way to go around it and install this "INCOMPLETE" arabizer (because it dose not have the nice ISP that has ben floating around for some time - just the official windows mobile SIP with those tiny little buttons) :cool: :

Take the arabic package to your desktop and unpack it and install 2 of the 3 files there and then take them back to your HD. Those are :

1.Multilingual Support_LocMAX_NoCour_P32_NOI.Cab
2.Customization_LOC_P13.Cab

just install them locally on your device (1 then restart then 2 ) and just ignore the warning that pups up after installing the first one , it will go away after installing the second one. and finally restart and there you go . you have it all in arabic :)

The ROM it self is the same (i think ) as the old WWE (europ) . didnt test it yet but the Camera at least is as slow as always :(

If you did not buy your device from Middle East
then you need to use the hardspl from OliNex from [ur=http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431217]here[/url]

Then it should work for you.

Have you tried to extract the ship.exe (with zip or rar)
The put your device into bootloaded mode (found in wiki faq)

How to enter bootloader
On a powered off phone hold down the volume down button and power on at the same time.
You should see the tricolor screen after 2-3 seconds.

The run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe

It might help.

YOu know last week I faced the same problem when updating my wife's Diamond's rom. I tried installing it from my laptop and it worked. Im surprised because my desktop is way more advanced and updated.

I'd like to install it the stock way rather than entering bootloader and so on.

Ive installed .net framework 3.5 and from my uninstall programs window, I see I have 1 to 3.5 all installed.

Im not sure why im getting this RUU error, been searching google since last night...

Way I do it;

extract the exe file contents, find the *.nbh file, rename it to BLACIMG.NBH


1. Copy BLACIMG.NBH into the root dir of your Storage Card.
2. Be sure to have at least 30% of charge.
3. Turn off your device by using the Power Button
4. Go to bootloader mode. Push and hold Vol Down + press Power button.
5. As soon as presented the message, push Power button to start flashing or Volume Down button to cancel.
6. The whole procedure will take about 3 minutes. After you finish and see the relative message, soft reset your device, you are ready.

Anyway, I installed Arabic by using a 12 year old PC that is probably running a fake version of xp SP2, hasnt been updated in more than 2 years. RUU ran fine, but on my state of the art, top of the line PC, RUU crashed. What a junk situation.

Good Question that has to possible answeres

1) No as the rom is so new they have included it in it thus have also not added it to the HTC download page

2) Yes as they forgot it. Based on my understanding the patch was released for all roms that are lower than 1.19 (says it on the HTC page)

Here is the offical comment but its based on a wwe rom that was old.

Now if you change to te offilca site were the rom was officaly downloaded form you get the offical answer which is install the hot fix.

Chronologically it says install hotfix, then new arabic rom was added but then thats it. It doesnt say in the hotfix info to install the hotfix even after installing the new rom, neither does it say in the new rom info that the hotfix still needs to be installed.

This is weired... I can't find either now!! It seems I was confused with another ROM version .. the current version of the Arabic rom is of Dec 31, 08!

Anyways, I used the HKCSL-WWE version from Dutty's website, and "Arabized" it.. it works like a charm! (I think the Arabizing files were uploaded by taiseer)
