ROUTE 66 v8-Engine initialization error->ROM Issue

hi guys.
i know this is ROM area but this problem is also related to cooked roms and route 66 v8. when i use my basic old rom of 1.93, route 66 works fine.
but since i've started flashing my diamond with cooked roms, am getton this error.
"engine initialization errors, error 0x6...." and something like that.
someone please help.
i know how to cook a rom so if there is anything to be added while cooking the rom then please let me know so that i make required changes.

Do you use the most current version of 8.0 - this should be 8.0.6126?

i wont be able to know until am able to run it and then check.
but what difference does it make?

Go to: storage card\data and make a directory called "maps" (without the quotes). It should work now

Check your config file if it points to "Storage Card" or "Internal Storage" and change accordingly.

btw, this isn't related in any way with ROM development.
