Speaker get activated by itself

Whenever i receive a call , the speaker gets activated by itself, but the speaker icon image on the dialer shows 'speaker deactivated' image only... now even if i click the speaker icon, image changes to activated image, i receive the voice in speaker ... if i press again the icon goes to deactivated but still i hear the voice from speaker only.... wat do i do??

Please help me guys.. anyone having this issue??.... i tried hard reset, now tried flashing to a new rom too.. no use.. whenever i receive a call i hear the voice from the speaker only??.,...

Justa stab in the dark but is it possible that one of the wee pins in the USB connection has got either bent or shorted and is fooling the system somehow. This may be completely wrong but its a thought.

or you have something like this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369399&highlight=speakerphone)installed/cooked in rom? And you cant "remeber"? :)

I don't know how this program works, but maybe its something like this.. or you changed anything in the reg?
