Thanks... this is great!!!

edit: I can't seem to port the XIP properly, and running the SYS on 20954 xip, with 20954 gwes, i get a boatload of errors (clock, poutlook, etc. don't work... and manila never starts)...also screen alignment is off if your cooked rom bypasses it via reg

No.
The 21109 is reportedly a chinese hex (quoting the betas forum)
There's technically a 21128 build, but can't confirm anything about it yet.

Hello Calk.!
Well, I guess most of the ppl who should have gotten it already dl'ed it.

Anyways, The 21014 is already floating on the net as hermes/wizard/atom builds.

I'm in the process of cooking a new ROM based on 21009 and 21014 and everything is working fine here.

Do none of your SYSTEM mxip's get applied too?
Insert a marker in one of them and try it out.
Did you do anything with autoruncfg?

A2DP is working just fine. Try porting BT_A2DP without using rgu's from the donor ROM.

I tryed my level best but no luck till now. Till now I did not understood, why poweroff is linked with bt a2dp.

I figered out this: I get this problem with the build which will be taken from xbeta. I had same problem with 20757, 20764, 20954 which was also taken from xbeta. But when I port 20764 of blackstone official ROM and it runs great. No more problems with poweroff and ad2p. May be xbeta is editing the sys which gives problems in my wizard.:o

Yes they will. They'll have to get the SYS package for that.
Or I might upload a partly ported SYS in my free time, but seeing how I'm preparing for my holidays due in a few days, I don't think I'll have the time do do any serious porting.

I've mentioned a *potential* fix to the camera problem to swampy; he might have the time to test that out.

Using builds 21139 / 21140 has 2 negative impacts:

1: grey taskbar
2: camera not working

Both of these issues are linked to GAPI, which in our case is linked to gx.dll.

Microsoft has dumped GAPI (obsolete) in favour of Mobile DirectX.

I will upload a gx.dll which fixes the grey taskbar.
Unfortunately, camera's still not working.

Heard 21038 is a fake build (i.e. never released on any device, not even as a test ROM). What is the source for 21176? Did you recover it from a custom ROM or did you dump it from a shipped ROM?

Hi!

I have a question.

I've been trying to use the xip/sys 21038 in my SPANISH rom but my diam never boots.

Can someone explain if it possible and if i need to do something after replacing the folders from the new sys.

One more thing, somebody knows a good guide to use xipporterEX?

If you added new packages with modules, make sure to G'Reloc.
If you messed up the .VM, extract the XIP.bin from the payload, place it in XIP_NEW_PORTED in XIPPORTEREX, click on "Relocate SYS .VM" and choose your SYS\.VM\imageinfo
Then re-GReloc.

Thanks a lot for the explain adwinp.

Now, im triying to port the 21140 xip from the first post without updating sys.

That's the steps im following:

Dump the xip.bin, replace only the new files/modules from the new xip into MSXIPKERNEL and MSXIPKERNELLTK (this one doesnt have modules or files, just a DSM)

Use the m'reloc to change the addresses from the new modules with the old addresses from the original MSXIPKERNEL

That's all.

Now im cocking the rom to try it, if im wrong, correct me please :)

In example I want upgrade sys and xip to 21038, so:
I dump the last stock rom for diamond (WWE, 2.03.401.3),
erase the SYS folder in the kitchen and repace it with wich one posted here,

hi to all the chefs,
maybe some can help me out. i am always getting errors when porting the sys or the xip independently or together.
concerning the xip.
i have tried using bepe's kitchen. i usually get errorlevel 3. i then tried xipporterex, that too resulted in a error, and even ervius's visual kitchen too failed.
and the sys,
well that too i get errors of all kinds. could somebody please help me out there.
the steps from bepe's website were pretty clear but i always got error.
here are the steps i followed
from original xip, kept oemxipkernel, and then added the rest from the new xip.
swapped the whole sys folder , ran greloc

from xipporterex, i couldnt even port the xip as when selecting the new xip, an error occured.
i wanted to state that i have succeded in porting an old sys and xip with these methods. maybe i am missing something. thanks

Well i can port all wm6.1 XIP's but with 6.5 i get some problems.. I've seen that some files that are needed for bepe's tools (ervius kitchen) are not in the wm6.5 payload files. I've tryed to take them from other XIP's so i could create the ROM but it never boots.. it stays in the splashscreen. So more or less im stuck like you, cant get wm6.5 to work with ervius kitchen.

What kitchen do you use adwinp to cook wm6.5 ROM's?

I use my a modded version of the one in my sig.
As for XiPs, depending on the time I have on my hands, I either do it the traditional way, with xipport, or with bepe's.
Try to extract and dump one of the payloads I've upped here to see how and what files I've included.

I've checked the 21198 files and i see that there's no boot.rgu thats one of the reasons that i can't make it work with bepe's kitchen. I've tryed with older boot.rgu that i have but ROM doesnt boot... where do you have this files if its not in the XIP, you got it in the SYS somwhere?

Ok, there are greate things i first post but I'm having problem with cooking. I hope there will be support because I asked about it in another topic and no replay...

I dumped os.nb.payload (simply just opened the ervius kitchen and select dump tool and then named the device "DIAMOND" and I recived new MSXIPKernel, OEMXipKernel, os.nb.payload, romhdr.bin and xip.bin. Then I put them into my kitchen replacing existing ones. I also replaced gwes.exe

When I started cooking I get error C++ about platformrebuilder.exe.

What did I wrong and what have to correct?

I know. But I read somwhere that you are using bepe's new style kitchen for porting the XIP into payload. As a result the dsm/rgu files and the sections of modules are deleted. Thats why I am requesting for original XIP. If it is possible..
