i found the opera launchs with a small square blank background, is that normal(I still remember it is with opera mobile logo in other rom)? and the tfl3d's backgroud a little bit grainy(bad quality) in comparison to some other's

I've tried Duttys 1.9, it's really slower than yours V5. And then I've read your comments about V1 Hp, that new build is really slow. Is it because of the new manila?
Simply wondering why it is so. Actually it should be on the contrary. The newer builds should be faster. :)

have not yet tried V6, but I think that V6 is a little bit quicker, plus it has new features.

My advice - download V6. Anyway, it will be only better that V5.

In a fact the T9Input14languages.cab don't do anything... in Touch keyboard I only have 'English'. Maybe in future... a cab with others languages... :p

A couple of questions if you please..

1. You say one must hard reset the phone again after flashing - may I ask why? also by this I hope u imply that we finish flashing the ROM - the whole procedure (auto install programs) and come to the home screen.. and then hard rests (clear storage) from the settings (the vol up down never worked for me)

2. Touch off - a wierd thing - once i use the touch off for soft reseting the system volume value changes - has any one noticed this?? I have done the hard reset after flashing. Can touch off be removed?

3. In clean RAM - hard clean - is it more like a soft reset? or even further where it will remove/delete my email pwds saved on Opera?

4. Also, the stock HD ROM is based on MSVC or CSVD?

5. Could you confirm that you have recd my paypal gift, as its gone from my account - but dint see your acknoweldgement (just wanna be sure)

I'm sure you've seen it but in case not the main benefit is that it is highly customizable so you can add your own magic keys e.g. add a key that inserts ".co.uk" rather than ".com" or anything else your heart desires. You can even completely change the layout if you feel like it by simply making edits in a text file.

You can use HardSPL or USPL, simply choose what is good for you.
I think the better way is to use HardSPL and when you want to return to the original rom, you can use USPL, in this way you'll have the original SPL back on your device.

Alvin, I'm not really expert on server conections. My point is that when I try to connect via web with my company mail (web based) lotus domino does not recognize as valid the ie explorer version we use in theses roms(theoretically ie6 emulator is not recognized as "real" ie6).
I hope that ie8 version, will be admitted by lotus domino. Not sure if satisfactoty answer :o

Hehe, I wrote the BlackstoneRUUWrapper using my work computer and the orginal udk custom RUU showed up as a virus too. I could disable McAfee for about 5 minutes to analyse udk's work before it re-enabled it's self and the file was deleted :)

I won't ask why you flash at work, so long as you don't ask why I write RUU wrappers at work :p

First of all GREAT rom. Been using it for over a week now (thats the longest time without flashing my device :) ), and it really runs great.

Except for one small thing. I applogize if this has been answered already, but i couldn't find any reference, so please bear with me.

When making a call the screens turns off, which is nice (battery usage), but after the call has been made and i want to tap end call the screen stays dark, so i accidentally tap make call again.

Is there a way to turn this feature off?

could someone provide me with a link to a V5 version. I have been trying for a couple of days to use the rapidshare mirror links available way back in this thread but rapidshare has crashed out on me every time.

I need to go back to the older version because of the Opera issues. David has confirmed the issues exist in the ROM as is and confirmed that the previous version of Opera works much better but I don't think I can replace Opera if it has been cooked in (or am I wrong ?).

So if I can't replace Opera and I don't want to move to the new Manilla versions (as those versions of Manilla seem to have issues as well) the safest thing for me is to go back to V5 which for me was pretty much perfect anyway ... I only reflashed because I'm an addict and can't stop myself trying out the new stuff :rolleyes:

So if anyone can either tell me how to replace this version of Opera or can provide me with link to a V5 version I would be very grateful.

Hello David from Bulgaria. I have ROM Davideuck_V-6 and radio 1.10.25.25 / 52.57.25.30U here I use a Vodafone –MTEL GSM service and here use an 3G network for video call and Have no problem. And whit this rom I have no problem at all. I like U`r work match. And I travel a lot to Italy and there I use Omnitel- Vodafone and went I change my SIM card , the 3G and video call service stop working. Please give some advice, hot to switch on the 3G and video call.

Intersting... I'm having problems hoping you guys can help me out here...

Note: Just got my device (yipee) and is a BLAC120 (850/2100MHz - Telstra Australia) Running V5

The problems are:

1. Calendar Notes are only displaying if the appointment/notes are within the next 24 - 48 hours. Whereas my old device (HERM100 - see my signature) showed upcoming appointments for up to the coming week.

2. SMS messages. When I delete a message (within TouchFlo) it disappears. But after a reset/shutdown (power down device totally and then power it on) the message reappers! I think this SMS is on the SIM card. I just cannot delete it for good within TouchFlo.

3. I would like to show SIM contacts within the phone application after I have powered the device back on. I used HD Tweak to enable this but after a reset/shutdown (power device off totally and switch it back on) the device reverts back to the setting to NOT show SIM contacts. I have also used Schapps Advanced Config v3.3 and Task Manager registry edit but to no avail.

4. Within the "Shutdown" button in the Action screen, the "Shut Down" button behaves the same way as the "Display Off" button. The unit does not acutally shut down/ power off. Also, what does the "Today Icon" check box do?

Thanks for your suggestion. I forgot to mention that I already tried that, but it didn't really work for me. At first I thought that it does, but sadly it does not. Atm I'm using Laurentius26 7.5 Rom. His rom does not turn the screen off. Occasionally i have to look at my appointments during a call and sometimes it's a bit of a hassle.

Furthermore i really do not have the time to try out different roms atm, so I'm sticking with the one im using right now, and if there is a truly revolutionary rom coming out, i will switch.

They are both as good as each other to me but v6 has a nice keyboard and calc.

I also prefer V-5 and is the version I have now... the problem for me in V-6 is the keyboard because is nice but don't have Portuguese letters like á à é í ó ú ((only if I press briefly a,e,i,o,u (?) )and T9 don't have etc., in numbers and symbols only have 2/2 options versus 9/9 in keyboard of V-5. So... I like the V-5 with 'FingerKeyboard2' and the Portuguese layout and now I have a nice keyboard... I install before the ' sipchange with a delay of 50sec ' and my default keyboard is 'Fingerkeyboard2'. The same with my new calculator in V-5 'HTC Calculator for Pocket PC version 1.0 (Build 1822.4128) is similar or equal V-6.

And... V-5 is a really great job by @davideuck :D

Im using v5 and Im really happy using it. I just have one question, under phone settings and then Band selection, I only get 2 choices which are Auto and (900+1800) Usually we have 3 choices before that has the 850 band for reception because the HD is quad band in phone reception. I really don't like the new manilla. Lots of programs don't work with it and it covers up the windows underneath a little too much. I got V7, because it was said that it has the new start menu.
But it's not the case.
There are less and less differences between V-7 and V4 HP.
V4 seem to have disappeared from this forum also :confused:

Although I've crashed my SD card (wasn't detected anymore by my HD, neither by my PC), I don't think it's because of your ROMs :)

The problem could be that the cab you have used is compatible with the old keyboard while it gives problems with the new one.

Hi, I have the same problem with version V6 without installing any CAB language update.

I try using the Phone Keypad and the Full QWERTY in the vertical position and I couldn't also write anything in the sms area. Anyway the keyboard response because when I pressed a letter it appear adobe as a visual effect in gray color but nothing was writting. The same problem happens when use the MS Word for example.

Also I have noticed that in the landspace (horizontal screen position) this problem doesn't happen and y can write without any problem.


This problem is the one that is said resolved in v7?

There's one little issue with Comm Manager when Manila is disabled. There's no any link to it in Programs - only through settings or taskbar :-) Gotta make a shortcut myself.

Same problem here with all 6.1 based ROMS with new HTC menu/items from Topaz/Rhodium.

After playing with all the new manila rhodium and topaz stuff, I finally came back to old manila and flashed this rom and loved the simple yet stable and reliable stuff though i miss the fb integration in contacts but i guess i would rather wait till the final verisons realeased so our great chefs can cook the best out of it:)

I would really appciate if anyone can help me to find the cab file of latest "HTC connection setup". as i hate typing connection setting manually, that new conneciton setup has better database. the one which is used in dutty's latest rom( i guess from build 21040/42). I tried hard to search but couldn't find it.

I have installed the V 7.0, but the V 6.0 works really much better, because you can't compare the response time and on music tab it freezes for minute. After flashing I have done HR and installed the same programms, but nothing helped. I have seen, that there was little changes after V 6.0, but the performance was reduced at least twice. I went back again to V 6.0, because it's really the best ROM, which I have tested. It's much faster and stable and comfortable for use. Thanks to David again for his such great work.

They are not corrupt, but some antivirus apps seem to think that there is a virus inside, which is not the case. Deactivate your antivirus app and redownload. After having flashed your HD reactivate your antivirus app. I had the same problem yesterday, drove me crazy, but in the end all was well.

this rom have ongly the real good stuff off the atuality, i still defend this manila on hd, no issues, no angups, and good batery drain..

Also wanted to express my appreciation for keeping this line of rom up to date. Very stable, very fast, in short everything i need in a rom. I don't feel the need to try out the new rhodium based roms, so this rom will keep me happy for the next few weeks or maybe even longer, so it seems to be the logical choice to send some cash along, which i just did :).

Actually, the only thing I want from the "classic" version are the looks. Does anybody know a simple way to go back to the "classic" theme once I install this ROM? i.e. standard folder icons, no backgrounds, normal dialer, no transparent slider, etc.

Hi, I don't think to update this version too, the reason is simple. HP series is now stable and fast. Another reason, the things you are asking for, World Clock and Calendar tab are new features from the new Topaz Manila, so to put them into the rom I've to use the new Manila, the result is exactly the HP series :p

Hi, I don't think to update this version too, the reason is simple. HP series is now stable and fast. Another reason, the things you are asking for, World Clock and Calendar tab are new features from the new Topaz Manila, so to put them into the rom I've to use the new Manila, the result is exactly the HP series :p

Then is it possible to run your current release of HP with dialer (black skin, 3G phone dialer v2.0 etc..), and Call History from v5 of this release?

And how about loading your v5 keyboard option of this release in your current HP release?

Also, is it possible to change with "start window" icon (shown on the top left corner) to a coloured version?
