View Full Version : Storage of "cab" files

I have several cab file programs (PDS Status Full, HHC v10 Final, Google Maps and Youtubeplay), that are stored in the "My Documents" folder . Can I move them to the storage card and still run the apps. from there in order to free up memory on the device?

The CABs are installation files. Once you've opened them and installed them you can do whatever you want with them, move, delete, whatever. They're not needed anymore.

I just keep them in a dedicated folder on my storage card so I can easily reinstall the programs if required.

Ditto. I've reflashed my Hermes about 10 or so times and I'm pretty sure I'll do the same with the Kaiser. It's very convienient to have the installation files on the Storage card. :cool:

just upgraded from an 8525 to a Tilt in the last month and still learning. Found this site and have downloaded several programs mentioned here.
