Reflashed using customruu and still the same error. Flashed back to my rom based on 2.00 and it work OK. Now trying to flash os only.

Ensure phone is connected to pc on tricolor screen. Then flash any rom of your choice.

I've just recooked it and it's flashed OK. Currently going through boot procedure. Strange as it didn't work when I extract OS with nbhutil before.
I have changed absolutely nothing except to extract in a surface kitchen then rebuild.
I'll let u know how I get on with it however I'm a little concerned that it may still not be 100% as I could only get it to work by recooking.

Worth a try but I very much doubt it. You'd have to change the RUU_Signed.nbh filename to DIAMIMG.nbh

Right click on the "RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_2.03.401.2_Radio_Signed_Dia mond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe" and select extract to - using winrar, the rename the the .nbh file to DIAMIMG.nbh
Copy to root of memory card, the press and hold down the volume down and arrow left button then press soft reset button, follow on screen instructions to flash i.e press power button when prompted.

Run the RUU_Diamond_HTC...exe file and it'll extract the .nbh file to a temp directory on your pcs C drive, just search for *.nbh to find it.

I have just flashed it using Internal Storage. No problems during the apps installation. I'm very impressed because I can't find any difference in terms of speed between the stock and udk roms. Evan I think the stock is better.

Both TomTom and iGO 8 work with this ROM. The GPS fix is very very fast.

1.93 roms have 8MbPP.

it seems that 2.03 roms have 12MbPP.

that's why you ( we ) have 4Mb less.

If people have only been uploading the ROM posted on the first page to different mirrors, then it is a problem with the ROM itself and nothing to do with HardSPL.

At them moment, until such time as someone uploads a fixed ROM image it is only possible to flash the ROM from internal storage, or if someone re-cooks the ROM so that it works, but the original file will not work "out of the box" as something in the file appears to be corrupt.

I was hoping that someone would upload a fixed version for those people who are reluctant (for whatever reason) to flash from internal storage. True. Even I faced the Error 270 thing. Dumped and recooked with Bepe's kitchen, like a normal custom ROM and flashed (also removed ULDR & stuff :D) Works well like a charm :D Good speed

You haven't done anything wrong. The file is corrupt. You either need to re-cook it or flash it from internal storage.

Umm if you follow the steps above for flashing from internal storage you will find it can be installed. It's definitely touch diamond not HD as lots of people on here have found it does work.

I second that.

1) I was a bit reluctant since the ROM seemed to be corrupt and would not install in normal way. I finally tried the internal method for the first time and it worked flawlessly.
2)
This ROM is the best I've ever seen on Diamond.
It's fast, smooth and so far bug free.
3)
Radio seems to work better on this ROM. I was already using this Radio on 2.00 ROM but it all seems to have a better sensitivity and reception on this one.
4)
There was MANY bugs in the 2.00 ROM
(despite I did hard reset after flashing)
the phone alarm and other alerts would not always ring, and would stop randomly. Besides of plenty other bugs I can't remember which made me have to soft reset several times a day.
So far, the this ROM has no problem so far
(despite I did not hard reset after flashing :cool: )

Yes you must have hard-spl in your phone IF you want to flash stock rom which isnt your area/country rom. example: My stock rom is 1.93-Fin rom and I can only flash the FIN roms to my device without hard-spl. But when I flash Hard-spl I can use every stock rom I can find. Hope u understand what im trying to write:).

You get "invalid vendor" or something like that if you try to flash stock rom which isnt your area rom

If you got it from here rather than HTC directly, this is a leaked version, so may not be complete. Also, you may have a device that isn't a euro WWE HTC branded Diamond, in which case the device ID is different.

Short update, It must be some incompatibility issue between previous (1.93) and new ROM.

The first upgrade process, erased the previous 1.93 ROM and while second try
the install progress finished successfully!

Now the HTC customizations are in progress, so in few minutes I willprobably be able to give you some more detail about the system.

I got the ROM from HTC page, and my wersion is WWE Europe.

2. New USB Mode. Now we have three of them: USB Disk, ActiveSync and... Internet Sharing (your phone works as internet modem).

5. I think there is new album under music tab or maybe two. There is a album from Step Up 2 movie :-)

Thanks for the ROM. Had no problem flash-ing it :). Its fast an stable untill now, I use SKtools to test the phone, got very good marks, by the scores is almost as fast as mondilv`s Nataly 1.1.1 ROM. iGo8 seems to run with smoother graphics. I will post info in time, I will test it more.

Yes, I have download FinnishT9 and TF3D Finnish cab's from M-Technology site and those are for 1.93 rom, didn't think at all...
Should I first uninstall Finnish T9 cab before installing WHC keyboard.
I tried that WHC keyboard with Dutty's 3.5 rom and it doesn't help then - hope it works with this one :D

if your Diamond does not boot due to this ROM. Here is the steps to recover:

- Flash your diamond with the other official ROM or any ROM you'd like (working one). => set up and makes it worked

- Extract the .exe that you downloaded this in thread using winrar or similar => you should get RUU_Signed.nbh

- Copy this RUU_Signed.nbh to your root of Internal storage and then rename it to: Diamimg.nbh

- Flash Reset: Volumn Down Key + Back key + reset
+ Back key: right above End call key
+ reset: under the stylus
=> This reset will give you menu to flash that ROM image in your internal. It will give you a menu to "cancel" or "flash". Press Power key to flash.

- 10 mins later (estimated), it says SUCCESSFUL or similar message then
do a soft reset (stylus to reset)


SUMMARY:
1) Flash a ROM that works to recover your phone
2) Flash this ROM by using Internal Storage (as this is the only method that works)

I'm trying to flash using th internal storage method. When I reset (soft reset+vol down+back btn) it enters three-color menu and immediately the screen turns white saying "Loading...". It is like this from almost 20 minutes now. Am I flashing my device or am I wrong somewhere?

you're not wrong, you're just not right at everything. The "loading" happens most likely because you have a stock SPL, so before flashing this ROM you first need to flash olinex hardSPL. beware that doing it will void your warranty, so thing before you do it.

Let me share my impressions about this ROM!

Previous was 1.93.1.401.2.
Flashed by internal storage , without HardSPL.
TouchFlo 3D looks now sharp, but version shows 1.1.35345.3_1630.38.
Opera v9.5 build 15316.
WiFi working , but at the beginning it was a bit slowdown, after a few resets became normal speed in connection.
TomTom .910 work fine with v7 maps.
As mentioned added slider to phone - nice one thing.

So overall impressions - nice, sharp ROM,
but those people who waiting a new applications, sorry to disappoint , here we have nice ROM working sharp in almost old conditions, i mean TouchFlo version.
Looks like HTC concerned to make previous ROM to work perfect with minimum changes.

Well I would say battery life is the best I've experienced, but not much better than the previous combination I had on my device which was ROM Beta 2.0 plus Radio 1.09.25.23.

To summarize it up, with this new ROM, I have the equivalent of the best battery life I had before, with the best performances ever.

I am in Toronto, Canada and with Rogers Wireless, all my Regions/clock are setup correctly but when I receive SMS/MMS messages, it is showing the wrong time it is always exactly 5 hours behind the correct time for my timezone, can anyone tell me how to fix it? All my regular phone call show up correct time and my wireless provider sent me automatic message for missed call and the msg body have the correct time.

Anyone noticed this yet? It's bugging the hell outta me.

This problem deals with replying to new, unread text messages/SMS. I'll briefly describe the problem in steps:

- New SMS is received
- User taps directly on message through manila (not using the manila 'reply' menu option)
- Inbox opens displaying new message with chat history
- Normally the user can then begin typing a reply message- but this is no longer the case. Now the cursor is no longer displayed in the reply field which doesn't allow the user to type anything, even after tapping this field.

This issue only seems to occur when viewing new, unread text messages/SMS.
I tried replacing the ezinput, xt9 and manila packages with older versions but this did not help. I also replaced tmail.exe with an older version but this caused the ROM to freeze at the windows splash screen. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

here is a cab if your not familiar with editing the registry. this fix only gets you to 1 hr behind. right now there is no way to fix this. i have been trying for months.

I'm in toronto as well..what i did was enter the registry string HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting\
Create a DWORD: "TrustTimeZoneField"
Value: "0"

then i reset, then installed the cab...i know it seems repetitive but it worked for me using udk's beta 7 (based on the new 2.03 rom) my time stamp is right on point while it used to be 4/5 hrs off and with the cab alone it would bring it within 1hr

the fix enables incoming caller name display to work with rogers and these roms on xda. you of course have to have it enabled on your mobile plan.

I´ve running RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_2.03.401.2_Radio_Signed_Dia mond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship some days now, and are wery happy with this, exept one thing: I like to have SWE language and keyboard+T9, perhaps also to remove things like "getting started", "help" and other not used things....
Are there someone able to cook this for me?

Hi. I tried to flash this ROM to my HTC Diamond from Orange network, but after percentage of flashing reached 100% RUU said, that it failed. I don't understand what's wrong. Maybe Orange changed phone BIOS, that it wouldn't allow any different ROM except Orange?

You need to flash from Internal Storage. Also, make sure you have HardSPL installed before you flash.

Instructions for flashing from internal storage:

Extract the RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_2.03.401.2_Radio_Signed_Dia mond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe file to a new directory on your PC
Find the RUU_signed.nbh file in this new directory and rename it to Diamimg.nbh
Copy Diamimg.nbh to the root of Internal Storage
Hold in the volume down button + the back button (thats the top right button on the front to the right of the big middle jog control) + soft reset
Follow instructions on screen
When the process is complete (it will say UPDATE SUCCESS) then reset

Try AZTOR X from AlphaZero or Udk Beta 7...;)

You can cook it by yourself if you have some time and patience ;) I'm trying to make one for myself, let's say clean and with 3.5 CF...but of course...those from our chefs are really awesome roms!

This is the best rom ever for diamond! Works perfect with whatever apps i installed! Just configuraded it a little to Danish laguage and removed some shit, and its just riding the lightning!! Thanks to all you xda pervs! Wish i could do something in return.. maybe i will.. :p

New in this rom: Well,.. Slide2answer is one thing. now you can also choose between internal storage and rom in album! Also scrolling with Dpad seems to be enabled in album. and many other changes occur from time to time.. So for those in doubt.. This is the shit!! :D

I'm wondering if that rom is official from htc? Did HTC really added the function "slide to answer" and app "Google maps", or its cooked? :confused:

Can someone tell me something about this stuff, or someone post a link to the rom from HTC page to download?

I think the XDA Diamond is a P3702 rather than P3700, they have a different body, but no internal differences.

I think the hardware revision can only be seen in bootloader, and it only effects ROM updates without HardSPL.

if we restart the phone, the screen flashs a bit. but after we shut and reopen the screen, it become stable.

Yes, I have noticed same thing. If you connect to the network, and then you search for another notification don't pop up with bubble with no sound. But if you turn off wifi and search again (you must be out of your saved network range) pop up is displayed with sound notification. I dont know if that happened in 1.93 roms - I didnt noticed. For me it is not very important - notification is always (sometimes with pop-up, sometimes with notification in bottom bar only). When I search for new wifi network I always have my Diamond with screen on and manually connect. If I am at home, it connects automatically;)

Yes, but first attempt after disconnecting saved network and searching for new is without bubble and sound notification. Second - everything backs as it should. After your post I went to the shopping center near me and tried everything ;)

When you close Internet Explorer via home screen task manager with "close all" button this makes an error, but if you close it in the list everything is ok

I'm using Compact QWERTY, and if I try to type the word "in", it suggests "un" instead. So if I press space, it gives me 'un'. I even ran the "eT9 MyWords" application under \Windows and I don't see "un" added to the list. The word "in" should be more common, but "un" is being suggested before it!! Frustrating.

It's working fine for me, although I use the 20 keys keypad. Have you tried tapping the I key closer to the "O" than the "U" (That might help because of the way the T9 works)

Ah that worked!

I didn't know it was dependent on which side of key was pressed! I just moved over from an Elfin so that was never an issue, since I assume it didn't do that in Compact Qwerty. I'm left-handed, so that's likely why I kept getting the U with my left thumb. :mad:
