Sorry I can not figure out how to install angel. CID and SIM are unlocked. Put the 8125 into bootloader then dropped Final_Final_Angel_nk.nbf into the same folder as ROMUpgradeUT.exe. Ran ROMUpgradeUT.exe does not show my device or what will be installed hit ok and instantly the congratulations screen pops up. I have search the forum for 3 hours and still have no idea what to do. If you could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
sorry right after i posted I found I need to use SoftSPL to run the .nbf it is running now

If you are CID unlocked, you should be able to use the noidRUU.exe

if you install that cab, you will be waiting for the results for a long time.. because all the reg settings are already there.
next time take the cab appart and compare it with the registry on the device. it will save you a lot of time.
as far as the memory leaks go, that's in all the roms.
between manila and tmail and whatever else you might be running I would recomend the clean ram cad in the dev hacking section. that is the best you can do without soft resets.

I do not know for sure. Right after a softreset I have in the low 20's and after a day or so it is around 18, but usually does not go below that. I do run a lot of things. Also, I have activesync running all the time.
I've disabled QuickMenu and M2DC and I have around 25 free all the time. I'm loving it....

because you poluted your windows folder and the gfx for that program are very heavy. it will eat you ram like manila. once you dissasemble the cab and reduce the weight f the graphics with photoshop it might run fast enough.. but I never thought it was worth it.
it has a lot to do with file count and weight of the graphics (in Kb)
there is also the issue with smooth blended graphics. most skinners save their PNG's in 32bit format. in most cases that is not nessesary. may as well be a bitmap. I like to save the graphics in 8bit (non transparent) @64 colors or @24bit (transparent) with the least amount of gradients and colors. (helps to save as 8bit then fix transparecy then resave @24bit)
almost all of the graphics in angel are @8bit. with some files having only 2 to 4 colors others 16 and few 64. that is the reason the programs launch faster and take up less space in rom (and in RAM when running)
So, I hope that answers your question about why your device gets sluggish after instaling the phone canvas (or any other GFX heavy program)

Likeminded people are rare Optimize the Shit out of those Graphics.
I tend to go for adaptive 8 bits as a VGA screen would get uglier faster.

I noticed the version of the dll was 1.2.8 versus 1.2.5 in my kitchen. That is why I ran the cab.
I only went down to 65% instead of my usual 50-55% after a typical day at work.
I set the sdcard disablepowermanagement to 0 too.

ok this might be a stupid question but
does installing apps like OPERA MOBILE 9.7 or SLICK affect the rom in any way?
what kinds of things affect the rom in BATTERY wise?

Opera Mobile 9.7
you think you will fit it in? it is very slow. even on my kaiser. I threw it out of my computer.
I dont know SLICK.
BATERY LIFE:
keeping the screen on will deplete the battery almost as quick as playing music or loosing signal in a subway or a canyon. gprs transfers (downloads) and transmitions also deplete power; so keep your emails downloading at 2hrs.
it helps to get a new battery or depleting the battery you have fully; then charging it powered off. Extended Battery would help too. $10 bucks on ebay. makes for a bigger phone, but I am loving it.
RoryB:
what newer dll is that? are you sure you didnt work 5% harder? :D

In the CAB is cesetup.dll with ver 1.2.8 versus 1.2.5 in the kitchen.
I try not to work any harder than usual :p
I ended the day with 65% left versus my usual 50% to 55% left on the battery.
Hopefully today I can have a typical day and see if I get the same results. Let's see... using 50% versus using only 40% is a 20% improvement so if you guys that do not use activesync and get 2 days of use could get another 4 to 5 hours of use. Maybe, results may vary.
Second day I had 60% left on the battery. One thing I think hurt the battery level is I never responded to email and reminder notices, so they sat there all the time. I think this might consume a little more battery than postponing or dismissing them.

This is the FINAL Final Angel
http://rapidshare.com/files/244647384/Final_Final_Angel_nk.nbf
I have been able to put in everything that used to be in Angel.
M2D and M2DC are there.
It has BT_SAP, ActiveSync Killer, PIM Backup, RC Mod, etc.
It has the OperaMini that states it is the final version.
Added BT icon that S.V.I posted.
Also, added mortscript to do some of the changes I did to get things to fit. You'll need a pdf reader to read mortscript's instructions. I could not fit it in.
Everything is back to standard settings. No attempt at BigStorage - has all the Trueffs settings back in place.
Here is the Final Kitchen

You can change what you want. It is in my current formatting. The current state of packages is a clean angel as opposed to a nekid angel some are asking for.
Love this ROM! The menu is just outstanding... the gfx could however use some cleaning up. Tried to use M2DC themes by TWolf but all they did was change the clock. Is there any way I can change the theme? Already imported the themes to M2DC.
Excellent work!

SVI had changed the homesettings.xml to point to files located in the \windows\ManilaGFX folder. This was in an effort to reduce the number of files in the windows directory. To install other themes you need to either copy the files into the correct folder or install the theme and update the xml to point to only the windows directory.
