hi is it possible to downgrabe from mobile 6.1 to 6.0? and when everi start up pocket gba it freezes when i rpess anything. thanks!!!!I complained to HTC in person about reliability issues with the HTC TyTN II WM 6.1 'upgrade that was more of a downgrade' (pausing, GPS perfomance issues, phone not ringing when calls came in - these were just some of the issues I experienced) and they reverted it all for free under warranty for me. Even though I still have the original WM 6.0 ROM, the Radio and SPL (other code programmed onto the phone) are slightly newer & fix a few bugs with the original setup so my device is now super reliable. Why not give that a try? Even if they won't revert it, there'll still be ways of doing it yourself if needed but if your phones under warranty and you're experiencing problems with their setup, really it should be up to them to fix it for you. Let us know how you get on.

wont downgrade it for me. can anyone show me steps to downgrade to 6.0 maybe even 5.0? :)?Why not, what did they say and which country HTC (you've not filled in your country or network on the User Control Panel/Profile)? You won't be able to downgrade to WM 5 because the TyTN II only came out with WM 6.0 or 6.1 but if you read the wiki, all the info you need to do it is in there. People here won't hold your hand through it, you'll need to do your own research and make sure you understand fully so you don't make a mistake. If it's a reliable WM 6.0 setup you're after on a WWE HTC TyTN II Kaiser (ie HTC Branded), then the components in my sig are a good combination other than very occasional sluggish keyboard responses when typing.

ok but before i downgrade can i ask you a quick favor? can you donwload the latest version of pocket gba and tell me if it freezes when loading a rom for you?Now I have my TyTN II set up as I like it (by and large), I'm not looking to do any ROM 'loading'... I'm not even sure what that means in fact. If your program is WM 6.0 compatible and you don't have any other conflicting software it should work on the native WM 6 HTC ROM but as you haven't answered all the other questions about what you currently have, it's hard to say if it'll work for you. Maybe someone else more familiar with this product knows about its general compatibility.

dot dot dot >>;;;xD pocketgba is a emulator a program not a rom -.-; the only reason wHy i want to downgrade is because i wanna know if it works with 6.0 b/c it freezes on 6.1

so let me tell you it works, but doesn't work well. there is no gba emu for kaiser which can play games with decent fps.

I have a similar problem I'm out of warranty so no use going to HTC they said they'd only put the latest which is 6.1 as they are contractually obliged by law - so where would I get hold of wm6.0 so I can revert mine back from 6.1 to 6.0?

'Contractually obliged', what a load of rubbish. It takes 2 to have a valid contract and if one party doesn't want WM 6.1 then there cant be a contract. so where would I get hold of wm6.0 so I can revert mine back from 6.1 to 6.0?There are WM 6.0 ROMs accessible through a link on the wiki (a chart that shows different ROM versions with their matching Radios). You'll need to read up to know what you're doing first, otherwise if you don't want the hassel, pay a phone repair shop to do it for you.

I think they mean contractually obligated to Microsoft. They piss and moan about anybody offering any Windows based rom for any longer than they are contracted to. This means new or older roms.

I think they mean contractually obligated to Microsoft. That's even more annoying:mad::mad: The same company that lets HTC sell a product with their OS on it and doesn't even insist it has full driver support first. Given they allowed the device to come out with WM 6.0 once upon a time, it should be up to the manufacturer to put the most reliable ROM for the customers needs on the device and if that means the latest isn't the greatest then either fix the latest or use another version.

The bottom line is HTC can get away with doing this if they want to, I know through personal experience.
