What is the available memory at first boot. Also I hear the new IE6 needs large memory to run, so does this rom have nue's kernel to disable camera and free up some memory?

What is the available memory at first boot.

at first boot 20mb is free out of 47mb for programs (55%) 124mb free out of 133mb for storage

Also I hear the new IE6 needs large memory to run, so does this rom have nue's kernel to disable camera and free up some memory?

No camera is not disabled.... I do have storage tweaks to gain more memory though... Internet Explorer has storage settings in the registry that can be changed to storage card unlike opera... The only problem that I have seen with it is that youtube doesnt work right with it but not a problem because I have a youtube player built in to the rom

Hmmm, okay, downloading right now. Will flash and post my findings. 20mb memory a big let down for me though. Always a sucker for any rom that promises 25mb and above, think you can come up with a light version of this rom?

The next build I make will have more memory... There is a bunch of stuff that can be removed because they can be added in device update..

Items that I know of right now are:
Large Start Menu
ArcSoft MMS 4.2.8.1
Large Title Bar
Calc-1-Calc - I have full but lite is on device update

Wow! Great rom! For starters I love the boot/splash screens. IE works decently and stable for a 20mb ram, rom is fast, GPS works great. I will just keep testing, enjoying it thus far.................

Looking for Office Mobile programs like Word, Excel etc; what did u do with them? They need to be in this cool rom. Pls do include them in your next release.
Thanks for the good job.

I've been playing around with this rom, am very impressed with the perfomance of the IE6. I don't know how u tweaked it, I have used IE6 in a different rom before now, this one is faster.

I just want to make this one request still, give us a Lite version in your next release. My preference will be to have all the programs under the Settings folder {i.e personal, system, connections} intact as they are now; then for Programs folder:- Games subfolder can be unchecked; only Wmp, Pictures and Videos to be checked for Multimedia; just Google checked for GPS; Tools to remain intact as it is; Connection folder is just beautiful as it is; then give us Office Mobile {word mobile, powerpoint mobile etc}.

Please help see what you can come out with, I love having a lot of memory to play around with. Untill then I will cling to this rom for its fast IE6 mobile.
Thaaaaaaaaanks!!!!

Please do some reading on here before asking a question like this. Comparing a whole ROM to a .cab file shows that you didn't read anything on this forum at all. You could at least try to find some information yourself:rolleyes:

Now I can hardly wait. I have played around with lots of roms, yours is the fastest rom on the titan that I know, and I know all the great names and give big kudos to their great efforts, but yours promises to blow our minds. All my applications open so fast I still can't believe it, I guess this community is about to make a sweet discovery with your roms. Thanks for contributing to making the titan exciting.

Thank You for the Props

My roms are mostly based off of the Hermes builds which helps for speed due to the way they build over there.... Not much memory to work with on the Hermes so when you put those builds on the mogul it makes them fly

Hi, Skippyd, I 've been waiting like forever for Skip's v1.1, guess you want to be thorough with the testing.

Meanwhile I played around with Titan Reloaded 1.2, fine rom, enjoyed the touch flo but I just couldn't give-up the super speed ur rom offers, the IE6, and the faster GPS locks.

So, I flashed back to Skip's v1, downloaded and installed M2D and M2DC cabs, and some Manila Themes, now I have the touch flo on a super speed rom. Works Flawlessly.

Now am eager to lay hold on Skip's v1.1 cos it promises more ram, how long do you think the wait will be?
Am just hung up on your roms, well I guess I just enjoy speed.

I am still working on it... Right now i am having battery drain issues and trying to fix percent battery as well (in build one if you turn off the clock there is a colored battery symbol = if the battery is at 100% or in charging mode it shows 1%) the speed of the rom is the fastest ive built so that is a plus...

I am also beta testing the new device update for CRC... so that is tieing me up also :)

The new device update is looking great :-)

I don't work tomorrow so i'm going to give some of my day to getting the new build posted... Once I have a good solid core on the lite build then i will start releasing a standard, iphone version, carrier versions and also a manilla version...

Wow! Enjoying this rom, 25mb memory at boot for a rom with the new I.E.6 is remarkable. The rom is wickedly fast, didn't believe you could beat the speed of v1, but u did it.

I love the new skin WMP wears, couldn't get HTC Audio Manager to work with v1, it works perfectly with this rom.

Did some speed test with my friends who had different roms running on their titan. We opened same applications, mine was always the first to open.

I STAND TO BE CORRECTED, THIS IS THE FASTEST ROM RUNNING ON THE TITAN.

Thanks Skippyd, you are indeed a discovery.

I am trying to make a stable core... If no one finds any bugs in 1.1 lite then this will turn into a final lite build for 20954...

I'm working on a M2d version right now... Standard and M2d versions will be close to being the same so it should be out within the next couple days... depending on bugs in lite...

My Kitchen isn't ready for the public yet... I will release this when I make it more user friendly...

Same here, codes do not respond. The installation DCD cab file does not seem to allow access. I'm using the latest listed in the directory. Could the dialer be the cause? I've also notice this with the standad version.

This Rom is very good, I've used both the ver 1 standard and this 1.1 rev. I like the ver 1 better because of the goodies but the ver 1.1 lite is faster (even when I've loaded it up with all the goodies you have available). Some caveats I've noticed:

1. Certain extras (programs from the update) when added to the the standard or the lite version will cause the icons in the Program or Settings folder to be re-spaced so that there are only two per line.
2. Another issue occurs when certain combination HTC programs are added, the power button will not function.

Action taken: (for both issues)
1. Removal of all added programs (downloaded from Update) does not negate either the icon issue or the power button issue. Used 'Remove Programs'
2. Reloaded rom, Added Rings, Themes, Games, DCD Verizon cab, the Microsoft stuff (from Update) and bunch of other stuff as long as it was not any of the HTC programs. No issues occurred. (except of course the inability to use the ##codes0.
3. Haven't completed the HTC program combination's which cause either of the above issues. Some HTC programs have no issues with the the HTC Home program, some do. When I have time to repeatedly cause the issue with the different programs I'll send a note.

When I have time I'll list the programs on my unit to see if you have the same issues with the icons. The power button issue is another project for later. If there is some way to use the ##codes would you please be kind and direct me to their access. I found the phone code folder but I'm not well versed on how to use the tools provided if this is how to access them

The Device Update is designed for the TYTN (hermes) so some of the programs will not work right.... I am in the beta test for the new build of device update and it is getting redesigned for all devices... If you can figure out what apps are causing the problem.... I can make them not visable to others... I also know that the icon issue is a problem and am going to tell crc of the problem so it can be fixed in the beta's... Okay this thread reads (UPDATED 1/18/08), I believe it should be (UPDATED 1/18/09).

Rom working great and stable thus far, however noticed battery life was better with v1. Can anything be done about this?

You talking about an M2D release, am using M2D update 20 with this rom, it functions as though cooked with and optimized for this rom. The roms I have seen with M2D carry earlier releases, update 20 beats them all in user interface. Just wishing u wouldn't give us anything earlier than update 20, atleast put us a step ahead of the other M2D roms. Thanks.

Some of the M2DC options are screwed up in newer builds so I will look into 20+ and see if the problems I had in the past now work... Most builders use version 11 because its easier to build with and the issue are not there in M2DC

I'd appreciate a copy metters. BTW I liked your ROM, but I have chosen not to use M2D. Not enough memory when I need to multitask.

dcd based roms and works great for me with Skips.

It's a week now I 've been running v1.1 and am loving it every day. Flirted with other roms in btw but always returned to this. I have tried all the roms in the titan upgrading pages, still looking for a rom that will beat this in speed.

Has anyone done a speed test with this rom on their titan side by side with another titan running a different rom? Try a soft reset for example, while skip's v1.1 is done, you could wait another 15 seconds for the other rom, no exaggerations. Don't even dare clicking on windows using your file explorer, you would wonder why such huge a differential. Am surrounded by mogul owners, we have three in the house, easy for me to run such test.

I guess the overall speed helps make the IE6 perform incredibly too well for its reputation.

Yeah, yeah, the ##778 codes etc, clicking the phone codes in tools folder under the programs menu works for me. I believe Skippyd will fix this bug in his next release. When will that be? LOOKING FORWARD.

Hi I just got a mogul on the sprint network. I have only been using WM 6.1 standard on a q9c and have yet to get used to how the 6.1 pro version works. Two separate button presses to get to the today screen?

Anyways internet sharing didn't work on sprint rom 6.1, so within the first hour mogul ownership I flashed Skip's 1.1 (sprint version) Thanks so much. Internet sharing works perfectly, and SMS works too.

Wifi on the other hand doesn't work. You try to turn it on and then the icon turns blue then resets back to disabled. Wifi>setting>advanced><<status>> Driver is not loaded. and <<mac>> and <<IP>> are empty.

I believe Sprint has an MMS application you can download but I have yet to do that.

Cross my heart. Skippyd seemed not to be available of late. Last time I checked he was beta testing CRCDU, then he brought this exciting news about WM6.5, then he Skipped.
But be rest-assured when he re-appears he will have something very very juicy to offer.

im still here... I am playing with windows 6.5 right now :-)

I have outlook live working in it..... pie 8..... and the home plug working without touch.... its very slow and clunky.... trying to over come that plus its very heavy in ram 20mb at start....

I will get back to custom roms in a couple days and will probably be updating to 21109 sys/xip so it takes time to get stuff stable enough to release...

I can do a 6.5 version if people want to try it out...

Hi,

I installed the ROM with no problems. I have Verizon service and also installed the carrier cab for Verizon available on page 1 but I continue to see the triangle icon and of course my data connection is dead. I tried dialing *228 to do the over the air programming but after a minute or so, the autoattendant indicates that my phone cannot be programmed. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong? I love the 25mb free at bootup but I must have my data plan.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

wm 6.5 is very buggy i dont know why anyone would want to build on that core It has major memory leaks... battery life sucks.... they say that it is a pro version but it came with chome so that would mean its standard not pro... the chome inerface comes on non touch phones to make them easier to use... I wish someone would port it over to touch though because i like it...

On most other ROMS I would be down to 6 MB free after that amount of time. The responsiveness of the device is much better too so great job keep up the great work.:D

Have you tested the 6.5 beta 4. It offers a lot of hope, quite snappy, IE 8 faster than opera, better youtube rendering than IE 6, the finger friendly scroll etc etc. Give it another shot Skippyd, you are very good at what you do.

That aside I want to thank you for your very generous kitchen. For the first time I successfully made some oem from cab files. With your kitchen it was more or less automated, the rgu and dsm are generated automatically. Just be careful, you might soon make some cef out of me.

It is probably a false positive I get that all the time when using the ppckitchen with some of the rar's in it. Seems like most of the antivirus software out there errors on the side of caution with stuff that meets some heuristic rule. Trend Internet Security 2009 did not detect anything in it or with anything it was doing.

Device update down or broken?

I just tried to send a MMS message and it didn't want to work so I was going to open the device update and load a newer version of the messaging software but wasn't able to.

The only available option was to update the update client once doing that when opening the device update screen its just blank.

Did something on my phone puke or is something messing up server side thats keeping the list from pulling down?

Check your registry to make sure you have your 10 digit phone number entered in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader\X-VzW-MDN

I just found mine to be missing when I was having problems with MMS after I loaded GC's 5.0.70.24 MMS cab.

Skip's v1 has a diamond themed dialer and a beautttiful diamond theme wm player but no kitchen, so you might have to rip them from the rom, that however is a long process.
Okay easy way out, download Reloaded 1.3.2, it has both the vogue and diamond themed dialers, pick the oem of our choice, drop in skip's kicthen, check it in the build os, cook, and you are done.

octones that because your going into Programs/Connections/DeviceUpdate. after the update it gives you a new Icon in the Programs folder giving you 2 shortcuts to DeviceUpdate. use the new shortcut under the Programs.

I would suggest not cooking the DeviceUpdate into your rom and downloading DeviceUpdate manually.

If you want to get rid of the old DeviceUpdate shortcut go to My Device\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and make it happen

Possibly because the white skin is an overlay on the black and just did not resonate with the fourth phone, lol. Funny that the diamond theme dialer I posted is black too, maybe that phone just want a black dialer, lol.

On the other hand why not flash again, select the white dialer in the kitchen and the flash this time using activesyync instead of the sd card.

Okay I also have this touchflo 2d dialer, my favourite thus far, I believe you will like it. If you want I could post it.

1. there is an issue with the hardware keyboard in certain screens - on the owners information screen, try inputting the phone number - you cant put in parentheses and other special characters - this also happens in the edit contacts

2. how do you modify the folder settings for the programs? i.e. the custom icons and media/gps folders? i would like to change the icons and remove the folder grouping (duplicates show up outside the folders).

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Skip for the excellent ROM.

I had been using NexVision's hybrid for about a year. Recently, it started giving me errors messages, and eventually became so slow that trying to do just about anything would grind the system to a halt.

I considered just relflashing NexVision's ROM, but it has not been updated for months (since September, 2008 I think). I tried Titan Reloaded, but did not care for M2D2 (I am probably in the minority here).

Finally, I stumbled on your ROM (1.1 lite), and fell in love with the speed & simplicity. I added the apps I like (thanks in part the the awesome device update feature), and couldn't be happier :).

Thanks for your hard work, Skip. I will send you a donation early next month.

I would like to thank Skip for the tremendous kitchen he put together. Never seen a kitchen put together the way you have and i greatly appreciate it.

P.S. --Where do you change the Folder Icons (ie. Games, Office, etc)

*Only suggestion is can you have an option some where to change the initial boot screens in the kitchen. Just a thought 8)

i was trying to use your PK battery icon % thing on my own rom, but every time I install the carrier cab, the settings go away and it reverts to the original battery icons? Do you know why this might happen? And is there any chance I could snag a cab version of the pk battery. I've only every found 10% increment ones. Thanks for the rom!

I figured out what was going on in case anyone cares. the sprint carrier cab changes the reg value of HKLM\security\resover\bitmaps\basedll to override_spcs.dll. Once I changed it back to phcanOverbmp.dll, it all works fine =D. I'm really not sure if this is affecting your rom at all, so I thought I might as well post the fix if it was. Again, thanks!

I have to say, this has to be the fastest ROM I've ever had on my titan!

SMS stays "new" when I write one, but it doesn't send. I've sent a message from verizon's website to my phone and recieved it without a problem.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Edit: Yay, a hard reset solved it!

I am sure a hard reset would fix it, since a hard reset would restore the unit to the original settings?

tried to check AGPS settings to see if they got erased ...

how do I activate dmrouter?

Is this a IContacts issue or the newer rom issue.. .had the same problem with DCD 4.12.. anyone know a fix for this.. I do service calls for a living and its nice to lookup my contacts and go straight to maps ...

EDIT...

after 3 hours of no GPS ... it just kicked in and is working great?... I didnt change anything... go figure?

also I found a newer version of Icontacts using the built in device update feature of this kitchen and solved that issue as well

I am would like to check the AGPS settings ... but the ##3424 codes dont work with this rom...

and i cant get into QPST...

I tried the trick where you hold down the middle button and click on the clock with a stylus and get a run comand... and got DMROUTER to turn on.. but still cant get QPST to reconize my phone...

any ideas???

the GPS does seem to work if I let it sit for 15 minutes or so...

so im pretty sure my AGPS settings got wiped .. anybody know any tricks to get me back into QPST?

When you go to the sms thread, it brings you to the first unread sms, all you have to do is hit down and scroll through all of the unread ones. Took me a while to figure this out! Hope it helps

Did anyone figure out a way to move the PIE cache to the SD card for the new version of PIE? I was trying to download a 300mb file and it kept failing. Then I realized it was storing it to internal memory and would attempt to move it to the SD card AFTER it was downloaded. Obviously that won't work :(
