Based on the files on the thread for the polaris hebrew support.
Ive made a cab that makes my diamond with wwe rom (duttys) support hebrew.
And Ive also made a hebrew keyboard that goes instead of the Italian one.
Enjoy :)

Today i try the official 2.0 rom

your files are working great

but everytime i write sms t9 always get on

i dont know if it the rom or your keyboard

1. after install the hebrew cab and soft reset i get oposite hebrew when writing
2. in other cases the kbd did not presnet hebrew at all
just to verify:
I need to install the first cab , soft reset , secind cab adn sift reset

Very good news indeed. Finally, a free Hebrew solution for PPC. If I wouldn't have bought Eyron a year ago I'd be extatic right now :p

Thank you, I'll definitely try it when I reflash next. The commercial hebrew takes 5 megs of my device for a myriad of features I don't even use, so this looks like a keeper. Keep up the great work!

First install the cab inside the zip for the hebrew support then soft reset.
Afterwords you should install the keyboard.cab to get the hebrew keyboard.

But if you did a soft reset after each cab it doesn't really matters it should work anyways.

oh and also i forgot to mention that you must install it on the main memory and not the 4gb extention.

i followed your instructions but I have reversed hebrew. I saw that on your screenshot , however, the hebrew was OK; does this have anything to do with ROM version?

anyone who has it WORK on his ROM , please conribute and specify on which ROM version.
Accoring to alex - it works on dutty V3.6b
I tried the new WWE 2.0 HTC test version - reversed Hebrew also with Nataly V1.1.1

I have Orange IL Diamond with Eyron Hebrew that WROKS
The issue here is a "Hebrew enabled" lighter solution that will make my Diamond Faster.

I bought my Diamond from U.S and upgrade ROM ver. to 1.93.
hebrew was a big problem for me till i saw this thread.

I install it and it works great.

I use the same radio like the basic 1.93 build does - Diamond_Radio_1.00.25.05.104

This issue with the Batery is the latest cooked roms based on Build 2.x does have battery drain issues reported, not sure about Dutty last version.
I did test this version and found that with BT earphone, i hear the ring only in the earphone - big problem for me [ this bug appeared in other ROMs previously]
so i left Dutty and use the "semi official" HTC 2.x ROM which is fast and stable

but i have a problem with it -
it is scaled and not as the other keyboards probably because of the png (p-20-heb).

How can I add the Hebrew to the landscape mode too? When I switch over to landscape, it goes back to Italian.

hebrew SMS are in the correct order,but the web pages are reversed,
and when i install the other cab,the web pages are in the correct order
but the SMS are reversed!

thanks for saving me and my HTC Diamond.
I downloaded both of the files and i installed both of them.
my HTC said the keyboard file was installed successfully but in reality - it does not shown hebrew in the keyboard panel.

i got a problem with the phone key pad its always work on t9 and when i closed t9 down it stop work in heb.
i got the newpan rom 2.10 and iron hebrow

i need to instal youre hebrow to?

The same problem, as doctor29. I had installed on my SE X1 hebrew_Alex, but hadn't touch keabord.cab, because I have original FengerKeyb.
From here I SEE HEBREW!!!! GREAT!!! UNBELEIVERABLE!!! Fantastic soution!

Only one thing - when writing SMS, it print squares instead of letters! :(

unfortunately it does not show Hebrew keyboard when using Shaks.Pv4.0_12MbPP_FULL ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=462455) , Rhodium keyboard

the new keyboard there can not work with Eyron Hebrew support as well only in Eyron keyboard - which is not a good solution by itself

Installed the V2 with the Keyboard on the 2.03xxx Stock WWE ROM and it works like a charm, although it took me a while to figure out how to envoke the hebrew keyboard... Just Choose Italian...

Now what I need is Hebrew for my HTC S740 a non touch device...

Alex did a very good customization and fine tunning for the Diamond but basically it will work on most new devices (VGA and QVGA).
the HD section here have there own version.

I tried "the dude" hebrew support. works great but is not working for the Opra. I tried Alex_hebrew before and it didn't work for Word applications....

Is there a solution for both problems? I'm looking for hebrew that work in sms,pim,opra and word documents all together.

After several test with free (FingerKeyboard) and comercial Hebrew support Lite from Paragon, I find this topic and try it on my Xperia, and work fine....
Some notes:
I use the latestest official firmware form SE, and Alex V2. His keyboardoard don't work on X1 but work nice w/ FingerKeyboard v2.1 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=501122 )
Alex keyboard don't work on X1.
It is a lite solution for lite users, so few sms in hebrew then in latin alphabet.

Shalom Alex,

Since I installed your AMAZING Herbew support & keyboard, the spell check doesn't actually check for spelling mistakes.
It always says "the spelling check is complete" even if I make mistake on purpose.

edit: Capitalization of first word in a sentance doesn't work as well...

Any idea how to solve this issue?

there are two files in first post on this thread

1. copy alex....cab to your phone. goto file explorer on the phone. find file. click. follow instructions.
you will now be able to read hebrew text (i.e. on web sites)

2. optional, if you want to type in hebrew as well. copy keyboard.cab onto your phone. goto file explorer on phone. find file. click. follow instructions

you can also check out ezkeyboard which has Hebrew

I use Russian version of 6.5 on HD Touch and have one small problem, after installing hebrew support:
when I create new contact, I cannt see what I type (for example in a field "Name"), but if I put cursor on another field, I can see what I typed before. How to fix this bug ?

I think that the problem comes from EzInput 2.1 (that is in the BSB-C Rom) I'll back to EzInput 2.0 (now in the BSB-D Rom) and I'll tell you what about.

Just a quick update:
Installed this Hebrew support and keyboard on the latest NRGz28's ROM and it works perfectly!

FYI - seems like MS has included Hebrew fonts in this latest build. Even without installing this Hebrew support I could read Hebrew but from left-to-right...

Hmm donno right now do not have my touch diamond by me at the moment...

There should be a setting for the keyboard to choose a language unless it was stripped in your rom... can you go to a hebrew website and see the hebrew ??? like www.ynet.co.il (http://www.ynet.co.il)

Hi Everyone,

First, thanks to Alex (and everyone who helped) for this amazing release. I have used it on my TyTN II perfectly with many (many) different ROMs and OS versions.

However, I got my T-mobile HD2 today, and the Hebrew shows backwards (no RTL)...I tried both cab versions but with the same results. Any idea what could cause this and how to overcome?
