Hi,
I'm looking for a standard-size battery with more than 900mAh, with no effects on GPS performance, possibly cheap (am I asking too much? !-))
Do you have any suggestion?
Do you have any trusted ebuyer?

Thanks
Bye

Here you go. I have used seidio batteries in all my phones they are of good quality. the 1500mah is for a diamond that already has the extended back the 100mah is for the slimmer diamond

thanks for the info. I was actually gonna start a thread on this.

so, should i assume that there are no batteries available from HTC that fits into the diamond without the need for a thicker back cover, apart from the 900maH ?

The first suggested link is about a 1000 mAh battery that "Fits in existing space" ... but 34$ + shipping it's too expensive for me

What about 900mAh ebay's battery? Are they similar to the original one?

To date i have not seen anything from htc that does'nt require a new battery cover. I myself am not to keen on purchasing random batteries from ebay. I like most fell for the 1100mah battery scam in the link bellow

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=445050

After waiting more than a month i received a battery that was a supposedly 1000mah. After a week of use its worst than the original battery. The other batteries ive researched disrupt the gps or have a monstrous hunchback battery cover instead of a smooth flat battery cover. Your only other choice would be expansys

has anyone used this 1200mAh battery? can they confirm it actually is 1200 and fits into the OEM Slim cover?

if so this can probably solve a lot of peoples battery issues

I don't know much about battery making, but with the standard size of the diamond battery, about how much juice can they honestly pack in there? Wouldn't you think that HTC would pack in a beefier battery if they could? I mean, they did released the 1350mah extended battery but it comes with a new back cover...so I don't know if we're being screwed again with the 1200mah battery from the link above.

I checked the dimensions against my standard 900mah battery, the battery in the link is for the pro its about 4cm thicker than the standard 900mah

I bought the 1200 mAh battery and after some complete charge-discharge cycles I tested it with "Spb benchmark" (max backlight, std using): result is perfectly the same as my original 900 mAh battery (4 months old).
No other problems (fitting or GPS or whatever).
I contacted the seller: as I'm not satisfied he is available to substitute it or refund.

Can you check the 1200mAh battery with the HTC Dev tools? there's a little app (battery.exe if I remember correctly) that tells you the exact amount of mAh reported internally by the battery (among other things like temperature, charging cycles, etc).

I'm betting it says 900mAh.

I've already sent back the 1200 mAh battery.
About HTC dev tools, it's something already installed in Diamond's ROM or should I download from somewhere?

Ops what a pity :/

The dev tools are not included in the official ROM but can be found easily in the forum, ie:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2511016

Those might be a bit outdated though.

2 news:
- 1200 mAh battery wasn't still posted when I was back at home, so I was able to test it with dev tools
- result is the same as the original: 900 mAh
