Bump...am I really the only person running into this? Could it be a T-Mobile specific thing? Other T-Mobile users, are you having any problems with Pocket Internet Explorer?
I searched through the thread and can't find any mention of this so I will throw it out there.
I was using 4.1 and LOVE it. But I wanted to use PIE instead of Opera for a particular site. When I would start PIE and go to a website I would get the error:
"Cannot connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings."
But it is limited, as far as I can tell, to PIE. I can use Opera just fine.
So I thought maybe I messed something up at some point and wanted to flash 4.2 anyway so I just did that. Tried PIE again and I get the same error.
Data works everywhere else.
I am using the 4.2 Touch Pro Standard and am on T-Mobile.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi
I'm using v3.2, with plans to upgrade to the latest ROM soon (as soon as I get time!).
Experiencing an issue when I have a wired headset plugged in via the HTC dongle attachment, incoming calls are immediately hung up on after 1 ring, with no chance to answer - the call rolls immediately to VM.
Has anyone else experienced this, and know if it's still an issue in the latest ROM release?
Thanks!!
SiDan
I use a wired headset with the ExtUSB connector and occassionally use the dongle for power at the same time. I used 1.2, 2.1, 2.3, 3.2, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 and have never had this issue with it disconnecting or going straight to VM

Wow, these last few posts are awesome.... Hey NaFT... can you take all your free time to do my bidding?
I understand cooking up ROMs is something the chefs like to do for the fun of making custom stuff thats better than OEM and then sharing it with us, but come on.... he's a ROM chef not a short order cook from Bangladesh....
4.2 is working like a charm and cant wait to see all the extra happy in 4.3.
Also, i never checked, but did the Stock Touch Pro or Stock Fuze ROM come with the VoIP ability? I read around that it should be built into WM, but AT&T may have stripped it from the Fuze, leaving the possibility of it floating in the Touch Pro version. (I did check that 4.2 does not have the needed files)
If this ROM for some reason doesnt work right for me, i think i'll call AT&T and see if they can whip up a better ROM instead of me complaining and barking orders to the guy donating his time/life/energy for us. (I will mention bugs through for quality control :p )
By the way Mr NaTF... Thanks for all your hard work and time making these ROMs something everyone enjoys.

word to the above.
But a question that I hope does not fit that, as it is starting from a new base, will 4.3 have the patched NK.exe to allow for overwriting rilphone.dll?

Time to test the new Raph radio 1.11.25.01 with the 4.2 ROM... I'll report my Battery/GPS/Signal findings after some testing.
This Radio includes an updated RILPhone.DLL file. If anyone else tests the radio with this ROM, I have included a CAB to install the file automatically that prompts for restart when done.
Please only use this cab for the intended Radio.

Ok...I hope that I'm explaining this the right way. Here goes:
I'm running v4.2 right now. I think it's a solid ROM and I'm very happy. Only thin that I want to find out is this, I installed an xt9 disable cab and it made my on screen keyboard lock in a numeric keyboard only. I'm totall cool with that because I usually use the slide out keyboard. When I create a new text message, as I'm typing in a contact's name, a little window will pop up with matches to what I am typing. So if I'm typing, "Ma..." the window will pop up with contacts that start with, "Ma..." AND it will not only list their cell number to text, it will also list an e-mail address that I can send a text too. Does v4.3 have that capability? I'm asking because I LOVE that function and I saw a couple of pages back that NATF said that the T9 issue was resolved.
Hopefully that made sense.
Thanks
Marc

From what i have read, the NK.exe will be patched and should already be patched for custom rilphone.dll usage. I flashed a new radio today and was able to use the rilphone that came with it... Maybe I am wrong and it works because it is suppose to be official and not a patched dll.

If im not mistaken, this XT9 has been resolved. There is a new XT9 fix thats was posted a while back when 4.2 had been released. I advise you to use the Restore XT9 cab found at the beginning of the thread if not mistaken. once done, apply the new XT9 fix and that shall do it. Im writing this from my fuze, it would be a hassle to look it up and attached it here. As for the name thing, i can say the names do come up in the black bar not in the regular white box as it was before for the tilt. Do have in mind that the fuze does XT9 differently than the tilt as well. when the black bar comes up, the email doesnt show up though.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=471576
I also have JAK, and from what i have read, different methods of baking netCF into the rom can be cause for issue. I double checked and 4.2 does have netCF 3.5 cooked in, but JAK does not see/use it. Without the ability to remove it for a fresh install of netCF stops testing at that point. If i come across any more info on this, i will post it back here.

Sorry guys, the weather was just so beautiful here yesterday (compared to the last 2 months) that I took a day away from everything computers.
I came back to a few issues with the beta build, only 1 of them severe, and I am working on fixes now. For those who are curious, the "severe" issue is: any programs installed from CAB, their shortcuts in the Start Menu flash constantly. It doesn't break anything, but it's damn annoying.

I said I would report on luck with different radios using NATF's ROMs.
(1) 1.02.25.32 - Stock - I was using stock AT&T radio that came in Fuze when new with both stock AT&T ROM and then with several NATF (v2x to v4x) ROMs with average result. It seemed to work fine but reception was poor in same known AT&T week areas I had with my Hermes & Kaiser. GPS worked ok with OCN8 but was slow to lock in.
(2) 1.08.25.08 - Diamond - I unlocked phone and tried the Radio NATF is using with NATF Fuze v4.2 standard ROM. The GPS seemed to lock on faster than with stock Radio but radio had inconsistent volume and reception problems (much worse than with stock ROM) where I heard caller fine but the callers had a hard time hearing me saying my talk volume was very low and unclear. I also had problem with phone & ringer volume going silent but I am not sure if it had anything to do with radio.
(3) 1.11.25.01 - Newest Official – Just loaded and started using. The GPS locks on very fast and talk volume is much better. Reception seems to be better than both Roms above and I will give another report in about 1 week after more use.
I am on AT&T network in Arizona. Anyone else using 1.11.25.01?

It appears that according to #62 it includes significant updates. Hmmm?
I assume I did not download this dll. with Radio from Radio Post thread I listed above.
Mr. garyfunk: Do you know if it included in the Radio upgrade link on post #1 of the thread you referred me to labeled "RADIO ONLY 1.11.25.01"? If not can you let me know where to get it and if you had a chance to try? Thanx.

In settings, system, device information, after flashing v4.2 i noticed in version tab , line ExtPkg Version, says something starting with "Fail_Pkg_OpenPackageBy..." is that normal?
My Device Information Settings read as follows:
ROM version: NATF's Fuze v4.25 WWE
ROM date: 10/20/08
Radio version: 1.11.25.01
ExtPkg version: Fail_Pkg_OpenPackageBy...
It appears that part of install failed. If I remember there used to be
Protocol version: (do not remember code)
NOTE: In doing search of entire xda site it seems several other NATF users reported this same problem in this thread but could find any reason/solution. I could not find this issue listed in any other thread.
Anyone figure this out?
Perhaps this will be corrected when updating to NATF v4.3 so this will be non-issue.

I have given him a couple of issues he is working on. I do hope he can solve them soon. However, that being said, I hope he takes his time, and solves as many issues before he releases this ROM. 4.3 could very well be the most solid and best Fuze ROM to date. He's setting the bar pretty high for other chefs.

Gary could you tell if that Radio ( Raph 1.11.25.01) is any better than the NAFT's Diamond Rom? Currently on the same Rom as yours, battery life wasnt as good with the latest Quartz Radio (1.11.25.01). Once I switched to the Radio NAFT is using batt has been great. It was installed automatically by clicking on RaphaelWrapper.exe with the radio.
You can verify by opening Total Commander then click on Windows folder. File is about ¾ the way down list.

@J
I would think that has to do with the patched NK.exe that NATF was using in the old version, and now assume is no longer using, so the rilphone.dll would need to be cooked in to function.

I would think that has to do with the patched NK.exe that NATF was using in the old version, and now assume is no longer using, so the rilphone.dll would need to be cooked in to function.
Yah, I am using the 4.2 and the cab installed and allowed data connections, so it must be related to an unpatched NK.exe in the 4.3 rom...

Sandisk Ultra 8Gb.
I'm surprised so few people listed Ultra storage cards. Given the speed differences, I assumed the way to go was to get the biggest Ultra card, which is currently 8Gb for $59.99 list price (only $10 more that the 8Gb non-Ultra card).
Am I missing something? Unless one absolutely needs the biggest card possible, is there any reason why the smart set here isn't going Ultra?

Hi NATF
Just let You know after 3 hrs of burn and installation of my preferable applications with data backup, I'm very happy and pleased with the speed and the stablility as You did on the previous cooked ROMs.
Comparing with the original ROM from _HTC_ (Raphael_HTC_WWE_5.05.405.1_Radio_Signed_52.58.25. 3 0_1.11.25.01), the speed of Manila 3D is a little bit slow, but it's OK, additional, we've got the HD Contact tab, so everybody should be happy.
Thanks so much,

The grid problem with Opera is greatly reduced now, seems like Opera in general is smoother and faster. However, I think I've experienced an overall decrease in performance. The touchflo3d is pretty laggy (when compared with 4.2), and the slide to answer phone is pretty laggy as well. This is a clean install of 4.3 (after hard reset), with nothing installed yet.

I'm OK With it either way, I just want to hit that registry value when I go in to change my AGPS servers to Nokia's (they preform much better for me than AT&Ts do) And I want to make damn sure that I get this right.
Also, is it 16 in Hex, or 16 in Decimal, same question for 40.

Inbox scrolling: With a large number of messages in a mail account inbox, I use a thumb flick gesture to initiate momentum scrolling. I should be able to us a single thumb tap to stop scrolling. Instead, the single thumb tap to stop is interpreted as a side swipe gesture, which causes the inbox view to jump to the next account. In other words, I can't stop scrolling without changing what mail account I'm looking at. Other Touch Pro / Fuze ROMs haven't had this issue. I've tried fiddling with Touch Flo pressure sensitivity settings in Advanced Config, but no changes there seem to have an impact.
This is probably intended behavior due to Microsoft adding touch scrolling into Windows Mobile.
FYI, I didn't see this behavior with inbox scrolling in the other ROM I've tried (RRE 4.4 based on the 21014 build), so it may not be intentional on MSft's part.
Hi NATF,
I know the above was your response to the issue of the finger-scrolling-in-the-Inbox-issue-switching-e-mail-accounts problem, based on the workaround to first highlight the message and then flick (or use the scroll bar to stop scrolling), but I've used 2 or 3 other ROMs and that behavior hasn't been the same (as indicated by the above post). Is there a way to "correct" it to perform as it did with the stock ROM, or as it does in other builds? I thought I remembered some registry entry to disable the M$ Touch scrolling (if that is in fact the cause), but I can't seem to find it.
The only reason I ask is because I use my phone to sync my corporate e-mail, and I was in a few meetings today where i needed to refer to e-mails I received earlier in the day, but when I was trying to scroll through my messages, and did the usual upward swipe, it scrolled through ALL of my messages really fast, and when I tried to stop it, it of course switched accounts - not very helpful for retrieving info while in a meeting.
Like I said, I flashed a few other chef's ROMs after 4.2 and this wasn't an issue. Maybe its an issue with the 20764 build, I don't know. Of course, once 4.3 was complete I had to come back to your ROM, but it'd be nice if I could have some help figuring this out.

If Advanced Config doesn't work, try going to Albums, and after it starts loading Thumbnails from the "Camera Shots" folder, choose "All" as the album. Once some of those thumbnails load (it may take a while, depending on how many pictures you have), hit the Album soft key again, and you should be able to choose "Storage Card".

Yeah, no, I unpartitioned it back when there were all those Album issues in the 4.0 build. I don't know whether there are any advantages to it. I did like to have my Nav software separate from my other apps and docs, but it didn't really serve any useful purpose. I kind of just did it because I could.

Thanks for the help, but te black bar thing is not what I'm referring to. It is a new white window that pops up right below where you type a contacts name in the "TO" section. When you find a contact, i.e. Mark Johnson, it shows the cell number, e-mail address and another cell number if there is one. Hope that clears it up.
I'm running 4.3 now and it's real smooth.

Marc
I'll quote myself :p "As for the name thing, I can say the names do come up in the black bar not in the regular white box as it was before for the tilt. Do have in mind that the fuze does XT9 differently than the tilt as well. When the black bar comes up, the email doesnt show up though".
As far as i know, the Fuze does XT9 differently, therefore if not mistaken (correct me if im wrong) You will not get the white box your talking about, i am aware of wat you mean, i miss it as well =P.
Instead in the Fuze it is handled differently for wat ever reason MS, HTC, or Att decided to do. << blame them LOL

Yes it does. And if you save your JiveTalk.sdf file, you can restore it and not have to reconfigure.

My First question would be, Do you have a Fuze or Touch pro? If so have you ever installed a Rom on it?
Basically if you had a fuze, you wouldnt need to re-install wat ever it brought.
There are 2 editions Fuze or Touch Pro,
basically they are both just like Att's Rom or Htc's Rom but clean
(minus the crap each carrier or OEM puts in it) plus the tweaks our chefs love :)

Welcome aboard the XDA ship. These links shall come in handy for you  Treat these links as your quick start guide, there is much to learn.
But this is the first thing you need to know: You must have Hard-spl, otherwise you'll end up bricking you precious device (We dont want that ;) )
LINK for Hard-spl: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150
This guide here covers Hard-spl procedure as well as flashing your first Rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
Plz do not hesitate to ask for more help if you need it, just make sue you do it kindly and as humble as possible.
Edit: The Roms bring opera by default, as well as the useful apps each Rom brings when sold to you by the carrier. Also the chefs include Useful Apps that they think wil suit to us the users and as well as them. Though you would lose the users settings such as bookmarks and contacts so be sure to back them up before flashing it your new Rom.

I may have found a potential problem with the 4.3 ROM. It's more of an annoyance than a problem though ;)
I just replied to an email using the Phone Keypad input method, T9 enabled. As i was typing, instead of the first item being the first suggested word, it was the first letter of the numbers I was trying to type (as if T9 wasn't enabled). However, the correct word (T9 dictionary word) was highlighted.
Example: typing the numberpad equivalent of "2668437" gets the black bar result "ammtgdp another" with "another" highlighted. In most XT9 builds this doesn't happen.
Does anyone else see this (admittedly minor) annoyance in an otherwise great ROM?
Cheers NATF!

I run sling media as well. I'm not seing any problem. I have run on all of NATF's ROM's without any problem since I started using them. (kaiser to now). It has to be something in your setup. ** FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND HELP WHEN FLASHING **
1. What the benifits are of flashing a new rom?
Flashing a New Rom basically gets rid of all the garbage thats included on Stock Roms and Flashes a Clean, Optimized, Fully loaded Rom that will squeeze every ounce of speed and stability from your phone. Chefs usually include all the programs you are ever likely to need and because the Rom has been cleaned out you are left with more memory to play around with.
Now, can we just get to testing our shiny new Rom?

My "Remove Programs" list is also empty, but if I use SKTools to check my installed programs, I can see and remove them.
I agree. I don't know what magic SKTools pulls out but they seem to clean up apps much better than Pocket Mechanic and MemMaid. My app actually has uninstall issues but after removing it with SKTools, I am now able to install and uninstall my app as I please.
I know of a few places for app install information like:
Files - "\Windows\AppMgr"
Registry - "HKLM\Software\Apps"
If anybody knows, please share. Where else is install information kept on Windows Mobile?
Thanks!

Hay Guy you are Super!
NP ... it was a little tricky for me to find at first too. :)
NATF,
Here are a few things I experieced:
Annoying text bugs (not resetting count and black box) - gone! /clap
Big thing I experienced was issues with Weather Master. If I try to edit, or even set to an existing entry, I get SQL Lite errors, saying the DB is full. However, a soft reset fixed that. Additionally, though, if I have the keyboard slid out and I try to go to the symbol page (FN+Space), it says its on the page, but nothing comes up. Same if I try to use the onscreen keyboard. I've had to put the Accuweather codes in in vertical mode using the onscreen compact keyboard.
There's also using the d-pad for scrolling, it tends to skip a few past the contact I'm trying to get to.
Overall, I'm liking this ROM ... best one yet!

Remove Programs fixed.
MS Touch Scrolling disabled. (resolves TF3D changing accounts when you flick thru Email)
Default text size set to Medium instead of Medium-Large.
HTC Weather Master now installed as package instead of a CAB file. (I tried cooking it in, but it sent my phone is a loop where the program launched at every reboot)
Merged some CABs for a cleaner install footprint.
There's probably more that I can't remember now.

This is my first NATF ROM so maybe I am just missing some setting that needs to be switched. But when I set up my secure connection to my wireless it says its connected, I can see it on the network just fine. The programs even seem to understand there is a connection (Clicking onto the weather page or opening opera doesn't start my data connection). But when they actually try to update or view a webpage they return "error in connection" or webpage not found.
I did a search for other wireless issues in this forum and came across some people who were having an issue with the wireless being grayed out. Mine is not grayed out. It can be clicked on and off through the connections manager screen.
*I switched from a ROMeOS2 1.51.
*I did hard reset twice, just to be safe incase this was a problem with some lingering file from that os.
*I am using the Fuze version of this OS (Since I have a fuze :P)
Not sure what other information you may need. But feel free to ask. I need wireless badly as I use it to update much of what I keep on my phone and also to quickly access webpages without my pc.
Thanks,
Vanquil

Probably not. But nk.exe is patched in the ROM to allow you to overwrite rilphone.dll with a compatible version.
Anyone know where in the kitchen is the custom splash screen? Thanks in advance. (not interested in removing it but I might be trying to make my own rom later on and would like to know how to do this in the future):)
I didn't include the splash screen in the kitchen.
Strange problem here: Wifi is greyed in the comm manager, but I can turn it on in the Wireless LAN settings and off in the Configure Wireless Networks.
I can confirm this as well!
No problem here. Did you change the Comm Manager in any way?

This is not a bug. The new build has a new comm manager. The newer comm managers are made this way. If you connect to the pc it disables the wifi button. It does this because they assume you have no need to connect to wifi if you are connected to the pc. When you are connected to the pc you get internet via USB. The only way to make this go away is to revert to an older comm manager. This has to be done via cooking and cannot be changed by the user.
It should work as expected if not connected via USB

Yup, I can confirm this. If you are connected to a PC, the WiFi is grayed out. As soon as you disconect it, it becomes un-grayed.
I just wanted to say that I have been following this thread ever since NATF started cooking the Fuze ROMs and had held off installing one because of some issues with the other ROMs. Now that 4.3 is out, I pulled the trigger yesterday and have found that this ROM is absolutely fantastic! Except for the Remove Program bug which was easily fixed, I have had absolutly no issues. And MS Voice Command actually works as it should. This ROM is in a different league than the original released ATT ROM. Anyone who is on the fence should just do it. You won't regret it. It's amazing!
Thanks NATF.

The kitchen files for v4.3 are up in Post #4. All issues reported up until right now have been corrected in those files.
Hey NATF, do you think you can give like a mini changelog as to what problems did you correct in the kitchen files? I know you probably fixed the remove programs list. Anything else?
Remove Programs fixed.
MS Touch Scrolling disabled. (resolves TF3D changing accounts when you flick thru Email)
Default text size set to Medium instead of Medium-Large.
HTC Weather Master now installed as package instead of a CAB file. (I tried cooking it in, but it sent my phone is a loop where the program launched at every reboot)
Merged some CABs for a cleaner install footprint.
There's probably more that I can't remember now.
Since NATF's kitchen files have the fixes for all the known problems with his 4.3 ROM, how can I use them instead of them instead of his "regular" 4.3 ROM?
Or better yet for noobs like me, NATF, can you make the fixes to your "regular" ROM download?
Perhaps a NATF ROM 4.3.1 release.
Great work, by the way!

I had this happen a on 4.3 beta. I would pull out the SD Card and then it would boot fine. I haven't had it happen with 4.3 release.
This is happening to me too, about 50% of the reboots freeze on the TF logo, and often TF3D needs to restart. Have hard reset a couple time trying to figure out what is going on, but it seems to be happening out of the box for me with no applications installed or any email or anything else set up

Hello,
This was my first ROM flash ever. Performance-wise the image is 10000x better and waay faster compared to the original junk AT&T image. Everything responds instantly with no lag, battery lasts much much longer (the phone used to die before the day was over and now its still at around 60% with "typical" usage), and I like how the phone vibrates to confirm screen taps. Thank you NATF!
I seem to be the only one with this issue (?), but ever since flashing to your v4.2 ROM, the phone has randomly powered itself down (completely off) a couple of times. This happened once during the afternoon and once overnight, leaving me without my alarm going off in the morning. Both times the phone was just idling with S2U loaded and plenty of battery life. Infact, the phone was plugged in and charging when it decided to just shut-off overnight.
Any ideas why this could be happening? I wonder if it's software or hardware related... I might give v4.3 a try later today if the random shutdowns occur again. But other than that, it's a great image.

I did not upload the kitchen files to my direct host since I'm already chewing through enough of his bandwidth just in ROM downloads. I'd also prefer that people do not mirror the kitchen files since they can change at any time.
If you give me the name of a free host that isn't blocked, I'll see what I can do.

Short of releasing an updated ROM, any chance of getting at least a few of these fixes which are registry-related in a cab. In particular a cab with the REmove Programs fix that I could put at the beginning of my UC SDConfig.txt file so all the subsequent cabs would be uninstallable. I took a stab at this with the UC XML cmd and provisioning file but wasn't able to get it to work.
And, I agree - definitely great work.

@NATF:
On your next test ROM, would you please remove the file attrbutes from the file 2330fc3c_minila? This is the weather data file and I think this may help solve the Weather Master problem.
@Joe
I am testing this now by removing hidden, system, and read-only, then rebooting the phone. Then going into Weather Master and doing a restore. No more SQL errors.
I can only guess that even though Weather Master removes these attributes, some program has the file locked with read-only and a reboot stops that.

Thanks,
Vanquil

I just got done reflashing, even downloaded another copy of NATF, just to rule out corrupted download. Everything is working great. BUT I still cannot use my wireless. Still the same issue. I realize this is causing problems but anyone else think the smoothness of the windows scroll is smoother than touchflo's. The way to tell the difference is by pressing until a vibrate is felt and then doing the scroll gesture. MS Touch Gestures has to be enabled of course but the speed, acceleration and deceleration seem much smoother and dynamic. Than Touchflo's Two-Speed scrolling. Maybe in the future the Touchflo scroll could be replaced by the MS scroll or somehow given MS scroll properties.

The error went away after reboot, because Weather Master changes the attributes after it runs. If the file is not read-only, then Weather Master won't error out the first time it is run. So you see, it's all the same. Better to not have any errors.

I want to thank NATF for another super ROM! I thought I was going to stick with v3.2 for a long time. This version (4.3) is faster and works well with all of my programs (which is a major criteria). GPS seems to lock just as fast (I use GPSToday instead of the provided programs) and MSVC works flawlessly. So far, I haven't run into any issues. This ROM works with Matt's Fuzeberry theme as well as the newly released RAPH radio (battery life is just as good as v3.2). Oh, and I love the additional key remapping!

Anyone else having any issues with Opera? Is there a way to edit the Opera connection settings? I'd like to snoop around and try to fix my issue.
-What's going on is that Opera won't load any webpages, it will show that it is both connected to the internet, and transferring data, and eventually it will revert to an idle connection icon. But the web page will never load. The progress bar will advance slightly, but never fully load. This problem only occurs in Opera, all my other data connections operate smoothly.

On your next test ROM, would you please remove the file attrbutes from the file 2330fc3c_minila? This is the weather data file and I think this may help solve the Weather Master problem.
@Joe
I am testing this now by removing hidden, system, and read-only, then rebooting the phone. Then going into Weather Master and doing a restore. No more SQL errors.
I can only guess that even though Weather Master removes these attributes, some program has the file locked with read-only and a reboot stops that.
Weather Master attempts to reset the file attribute every time the database is accessed. But in truth, with files cooked in to the rom, you don't actually adjust the file, but cause a shadow copy of the file to be made. Something is messing with that process. Installing it from a cab will fix that since the cab will install a fresh DB file and that will force a shadow copy to be made.
I'm absolutely clueless to why it's not working.

I really need help. I'm trying to flash 4.3 right now
it stuck on the "update in progress" screen
I'm doing it from the SD card

its been stuck for about 10 minutes
If you have not yet figured this out, try pushing the reset button with the stylus, hope that helps :)

Ditto here. I do not see the need for slide to answer, but some people think it is so neat. I guess I am going to have to stay with 4.2 if slide to answer is in 4.3 and can not be removed.
yeah I think it's neat too but it would be better if it was black :)

Senior member, so I assume you are using TouchLockPro or another screen locking problem? I had this problem all the time with several ROMs until I found TouchLockPro. It has never been a problem since.
Ya, I kinda figured that, I was using Pocket Shield witch i guess eats up the battery like crazy, so i left that, and I will see what happens when using S2U2 tomorrow, Thanks for the advice :)

I know, but for some reason it doesn't work for me
I had one of my friends try it too, he got the same error
I tried 2 different programs
If you haven't already tried redownloading you might want to. I use 7-zip to extract and it worked fine.

Hey, I noticed you that you removed the upload to YouTube, Facebook. Is there a possible way to download it?

Along the same lines... I cooked in the social networking htc album and have not noticed any problems whatsoever (deleted album oem and cooked the album package from Da G's kitchen in as a package). Youtube seems to be running great and I haven't experienced the unread issues. If there was another issue that could have come from this tweak I'd love to know. I wouldn't want to find out later that I broke something crucial.:)

Do you know how to read or search posts? The answer has been posted in this thread multiple times already. I wait a couple days after a new ROM is uploaded. That lets everybody else find the issues. I then read all the post, so I know the fixes before I install the ROM.
Do you know how to be nice and not act rude? :)

I had previously the 4.2 version, and I installed also the S2U2-1.44-QVGA. As a result (or at least this is what I believe) everything went south, with several freezes, time lags for different commands, etc. Do you think I'll have the same problems with the 4.3 ROM? Or to rephrase the questions, are there known incompatibilities between 4.3 and S2U2?
Thanks

Hey NATF, just wondering if the 4.3 rom file has been updated with the removed program fix? i am thinking about reflashing so that i can remove the S2A program. downloaded the new throttle lock and wanted to test out it's S2A, and having two S2As is a lot more of a pain than i would have imagined :D

I have tried numerous builds and cooks and this is by far the best i have found. I am using the v4.3 ROM along with the 1.11.25.01 Radio, and haven't seen this type of speed and GPS link-up speed before, can't wait for the next one! :D :D :D

I had this happen a on 4.3 beta. I would pull out the SD Card and then it would boot fine. I haven't had it happen with 4.3 release.
This is often caused by partial corruption of the sd card. You need to plug it into a PC and run a scan on the disk in windows to repair the file system. This can happen if you soft reset when the phone is writing to the card. TF3D freezes because it can't properly scan the card for content.
Um, the cause for this is a setting on the PC. In ActiveSync or Mobile Device Center Connection Settings, you need to check the "Allow data connections on device when connected to PC." box. It forces both wifi and cellular data to disable.

Sorry folks, I've been busy. I'm back and just installed v4.3...I'll let ya know what I turn up.

haha yeah thanks, I figured that out.
now I'm getting a ROM update error. I expected something because it didn't flash all the way (stopped at like 75 percent)
I'm using the microSD card method, I think if I put a working ROM file onto my card, I can reflash and everything will be OK
problem is, my microSD card adaptor isn't working

is there any way I can flash my phone from my PC if I can't get past the tri-color screen?

This is not a custom dialer. This in the new HTC dialer.

I'll cook up a test version tonight to see if this official build works with that Album and does not affect YouTube. If it's OK, then it will return in v4.4.

No it has not. v4.3 still has the issue, but I posted a CAB fix a few pages back. This is not a custom dialer. This in the new HTC dialer.

From the bootloader, plug in a USB cable, and you should see USB on the screen. Then run RaphaelWrapper.exe.
