Works like a charm on my Cingular/AT&T 8525 aka HTC Hermes/TyTN. Currently using the medium sensitivity CAB. Now I don't have to press too hard or use my nails to press stuff.

I admit not reading all of the posts just first 10 pages, and i didnt find the answer, so i was wondering, it's not explicitly mentioned in the 1st post, but does this work on OMNIA as well?

right i found it, it's reported that it works on Omnia as well, tho someone argued how HTC specific settings work on omnia. Is that true? and does this still work on winmo 6.5?

Ok, well I decided to try it anyway. I installed the max sens itouch cab and it has made a significant difference. Screen more responsive. It hasn't really improved use of the stylus with right side scroll bars, you still have to press harder to move it. Same with the 'X' button. But certainly seems much improved overall so many thanks.

People really still think this thing works? Ever heard of the placebo effect? Power of suggestion? All this does is change the registry settings that the alignment screen changes. If anything this will just mess up your alignment.

When you align your screen it also sets the screen sensitivity.
Ever heard or the google effect? :p
Sorry, couldn't resist.
But I personally won't use these cabs,
I just use my own values.
I don't feel like killing my digitizer,
as I believe these super high values makes them work super hard.
Yeah that really answers my question. Well I'm not gonna bother to use one of these, void my warranty and possibly **** up my phone without a proper answer.
They're cabs, they'll install it and you'll be done.
but it's better to use phmregedit
and just double the value you already have
(lets say 5,000, you double it to 10,000)
and then keep adding the same amount
(ie 15,000, then 20,000 then 25,000 etc)
till you get it to where you like.

Sounds like a plan. But as you mentioned, do you think doubling up registry values could mess up my screen digitizer irreparably, or would a hard reset resolve any problems?

I meant just doubling the value.
Not the actual registry location.
So say it's a 5,000 value,
then you just double it to 10,000,
then if that doesn't work,
add the original value to it again so in this example it would be 15,000.
Hard-Reset/Re-Flash should put the value back to stock for your ROM.

Well, if anything, setting super high values should make it work LESS hard, because it means even soft touches will already register/respond, so you don't need to press so hard with your finger/stylus, which means the digitizer takes less pressure, and should last longer.

Then you would be extremely ill informed. Go use the damn Google and search for screen sensitivity with registry entry.. You will find alot of info similar.. infact, there are few other programs doing the same thing with positive results (eg Diamond Tweak, Advanced Config)..
Before you go use the placebo sh*t, it would be good to try first.. if you are so afraid it would screw up you precious WM settings? Maybe you can Google up backup for WM, Sashimi or User Customization..

arcanehacker,
No need to be feisty now. Go eat a chill pill and cool your buttocks. I've actually tried this and even set these registry values. I didn't do anything on my TouchHD. I didn't notice any "difference" as you so called placed it. I just reverted it back to a normal screen alignment adjustment after a while. I even tested this on a Kaiser and the screen even went funky. Vertical swipes were detected as horizontal swipes. A screen alignment fixed the problem.
So calm your buttocks down and understand that to a certain degree, influence, power of suggestion, and expectation does affect how much this "tweak" actually works.
I personally have seen no difference across two different phones. Also, I believe by doing this, you're shortening the lifespan of your digitizer.
Cheers.

Maybe it's my screen protector but I've played around with my friend's iphone and there's a huge difference. I have to press harder for it to respond on the tp2... Like I said I use a screen protector so it could be that, or the iphone could just be that much more responsive still...

Capacitive (iPhone, ZuneHD, Palm Pre) vs Resistive (WinMo, Tablet PC's). Capacitive is better for simple things, while Resistive is nice since you can use your gloves or the end of your pencil to control the phone. Capacitive responds with barely a touch on the screen, Resistive requires a physical push on the screen.

FOR ALL PEOPLE WITH A TOUCH PRO 2
You all do know that these are all rather simple reg edits that you can play with and test to see which ones make your phone the most simple. i myself don't have tp2 but i assume that you have some sort of reg editor and it isn't too much different from a tp in the likes that you wouldn't be able to find the equivalent to these registry edits to your registry.

Hello. One question. The cab only modifies the registry keys, or does anything else? I have only tried to do the modifications in the 2 registry keys, and I do not see any change regarding screen sensibility.
I would prefer not to run cabs, if they are not necessary, Do I have to install the cab in order to have the tweak working?.
Best regards and thank you very much for your support.

well compared to the touch pro 1 and the diamond 1 the tp2 already has a super sensitive screen. So as many people have said , they did not notice much of a difference. If you were to install one , i would install the iTouch_azharsunny.cab for the fact that it might change the registry enough to make a noticable difference.

i guess you should try the itouch cab as azharsunny said : FOR MAX SENSITIVITY USE FINAL VERSION iTouch_azharsunny.cab ( THIS HAS MAX VALUES SET TO FFFFFFFF IN HEX FOR BOTH TWEAKS
Thank you guys

there is no icon needed , this "app" is not really an actual app. its a registry change that can be considered an app.
there's no need for an icon because there is nothing to the app other than a few registry changes , that increase sensitivity
yes that's it , and after a soft reset if you don't feel a difference then my previous post still stands, As it said many tp2 users didn't achieve a noticeable sensitivity increase

You probably used WinZip, WinRAR or whatever unzip program. You should place the CAB file on your device and open it using the file explorer on your device. Should do the trick ;)

the HD2 is capacitive, your not gonna get much more sensitive than the settings becuse the lowest sensitivity is already crazily sensitive in the first place.

you need to back up the directories or ask a fellow diamond user to post/message you the entries.
you shouldn't need that though. these files will not screw anything up if you feel no change.
all this cab does is edit some small registry keys for sensitivity

Hi, I just want to share the same cab, but with five more reg values (the original one, overwrites two values in the registry). With all this entries the screen feels a bit more responsive
Attached cab to apply the original itouch settings + five entries more (not needed uninstall the previous version, because the original and this cab only overwrites registry values)
Note: If You want to view the registry entries modified by the cab, open the second file attached (itouch_2_Entries.zip) with CeRegEditor.
EDIT: I take no credit for anyting (the filename, only to make a difference in my laptop's files). The added settings are already published in other xda's thead.
Best regards
