I was wondering if the newer drivers could also made available through cab files. Otherwise users of older roms, like the roms just before 2.03, have to flash their device again and again.

Seems like a good option to me and in that way we can also test the new drivers separately.

sounds good... but, a new rom (higher vers.) has various advantages - higher speed (manila,core etc.), solve some problems, brings new functions...
why you wouldn't flash everytime a now rom to your device?
