How to install:

-Hard reset strongly recommended!
-be sure to have net cf 3.5 installed
-Turn off TF3D today plugin
-reboot
-Go to start/settings/system/power/advanced/ and uncheck all boxes.
because the screen power off slow down installation!
-install XBmod HD MANILA V1.8.1 cab into device, not internal storage!!!
-wait more than 10mn for install
-it will auto-reboot, wait be patient-its loading a lot more.
You will see keyboard a couple of times.....just wait and don't panic
-Go to settings again and turn off TF3D
-Install the 1.8.5 fix.cab
-delete
My device/Application Data/HTC/databases/forecast_cache.db
-Go to start/settings/today and restart TF3D
-Let TF3D start and do a soft reset.
-At this point your new TF3D HD should work perfect

Here's the 1.8.5 CFC Compressed version. This is exactly as XBmod released it only it's CFC Compresssed. There are no other changes other than CFC Compression and the fact that I combined the 1.8.1 cab file with the 1.8.5 cab.

Thanks for your help, I do have net cf 3.5 installed and I now have tried the loader and I did delete the start file. This seems to have the same issue that I had with mun HD which I think has to do with the keyboard error. So end result I am still not able to load.

EDIT: this seems to work if you're running the Juggalo TP ROM but not if your on the stock rom....hopfully that provides a clue how to fix.

To launch the manil if it doesn't start, just click on StartManila.exe in the Windows folder

In my ROm I've modified the 2 files withe the HD Loader (Manila and Manila2.exe<- we just need to remember it with SSMapa

So the answers for my own questions: this app doesn't work with my Rom (official 1.90.401.1 WWE). I could install it but couldn't load it. I also got the "Unexpected error was occured in Startmanila.exe" message. I tried to run Manila.exe from the programs folder and also to use the loader.exe but same result. For me it was also the same with Man_Rus HD_manila version.

Unfortunatelly I couldn't uninstall the program, but fortunatelly I made a full backup with Spb backup before I installed it, so I could recovery the old manila.

I am sad becose this HD_manila looks very nice and would like to use it very much! :(

I installed the HD Manilla and it installed quickly and easily...This was on a Cooked Rom form Merdin over at PPCGEEKS. I installed the Fix2 cab also. My only issue is the Landscape Mode.Any updates?

Thanks a lot of bring HD manila to us, it's great!

I would like to report that:
- Automatic startup working fine for Dutty 3.6b rom
- Stable and REALLY FAST
- Graphic display proporation not correct for PEOPLE tab and WEATHER tab
- For the Stock tab, some buttons are off screen and cannot be triggered (eg. 1 day, 5 day, etc)

And one more question: how to install those colorful top icons shown in the first post, they are relly lovely! :)

Just for kicks installed it on a telus diamond, works just fine, needs a little more tweaking and resizing here and there otherwise works great!!

The top curtain is a lil' too big, the customize tabs in settings crashes ever so often causing a loop at the TF3D launch screen (sometimes launches and sometimes not) and the text for messages is small, all which will proly be addressed in version 2

Try pressing the button for about half a second to a second. That worked for me.

Works great on HTC Touch Diamond with CT's Version 6.4 HD ROM!

Just one minor bug?!:
On the contacts tab I have seven contacts and they run of the page.
So it's hard to select the ones at the bottom, or select any other after I've managed to select the ones at the bottom...
Any fix for this?

i'm installing it on shacks 3.00, after having disabled my tf3d. The install was very slow. During install, i used advanced task manager to kill biotouch.exe. Then install ended succesfully. I don't know if there is a relation, nevertheless ;°)

Reboot ok, new manilla HD runs. I install fix v2.cab, then i reboot again.

Then i have the meteo bug. i deleted the database, but tf3d cycle through "tap to launch tf3d" and "Launching tf3d".

I reboot again...
pin code does not prompt, weather image size ratio is not good.
TF3d bugs again when arranging tabs.

This is not good, i have to hard reset.

Confirmed will not launch on a touch pro..... the specific error is:

I am guessing there is a file not on the Touch Pro that is on the Diamond install? I have a Sprint CDMA touch pro with stock ROM 1.0.3.651.3, Hardware Rev. 2.

Not only it works but you can organise the tabs as you like and then just bring on the additional ones which are great! The tabs you have organised will be in the same order you left them.

Just installed on a TP with RSW's 1.4 ROM with .28 radio

great great work. Just those few small tweaks in the sizing on some tabs will make it literally perfect. Hopefully you can integrate the landscape of the Pro for Pro users too. Im sure thats not too terribly difficult to add those files.

after that hopefully we can get together a better solution for auto-launching. the current methods work but not 100% consistently.

Still very very impressive to crank out so fast.

just wanted to say that the porting of this app is amazing and im loving it!!! im using it on my at&t fuze with the new t.i.r rom v10 an it works 95% the only thing that gets annoying is that every now an then it goes to the tap here to launch touchflo 3d an resets which would be real nice if it didnt do that an of cause the landscape thing which is already known...but other then that wow wow wow is what i have to say!!! also love the vibration when u hit the tabs on tf3d like how its on the touch hd pretty snazzy lol... hope these little issues get corrected in future releases!!!! :D

Didnt work for me on stock diamond rom. Never was able to start manilla, it just said a program error has occured.

I tried the fix programs including manual start manila, but nothing worked, so i just hard reset the phone again (allready did this to have a clean manila)

Hello Xboxmod and thanks a lot for Manila HD !

Except a few graphical dimensions bugs (such as these described in the previous posts), it works fine on my Touch Diamond (i have the 1.93 official ROM).

Actually, there is only one problem : after a soft reset, i obtain an error linked to the "startmanila.exe" file. And next, Touchflo tries to start (and then fail) in a continuous loop. The only thing i can do is to activate the keyboard.
BUT, and the real problem is here, the later i active it, the slower Touchflo will be... Kind of memory problem i think.

Anyway, thanks again for your great work !

Change value from 409 to 413 (Hex) for Dutch or try another value for your language.

It's converted from HD (stretched VGA) to Diamond (VGA), so it's obvious it's not meant for QVGA...

I extracted that one before I posted, and it worked. almost.

My contacts were there, but the action buttons, and the number detail weren't there.
I imagine it's more than just the one file that is needed.
I tried to pull a few others out using a manila editor to view them, but it didn't work.

What happens on mine is that the portrait mode flips into landscape mode but on the rightside you get a distortion.

I have HTC Fuze and it works perfectly fine. The only issue I have is that Dickenz Blossom Icons doesn't work with it. Not only that, if u try to use a Theme from the Touch HD, it doesn't fit as the Touch HD has a much larger screen (obviously). So I'm very happy that this works for the Fuze, but it seems to hamper the ability to customize it a bit.

1) verify that the black home screen contains an instruction that asks you to touch the screen in order to start touch flo
2) then open the contacts list (normally, it corresponds to the softkey on the right) and enable the keyboard. Next close the window. So you should see the black home screen again
3) click on the black home screen in order to start touch flo. Next open the contacts list *very quickly* (the keyboard should be enabled if you did the 2nd step) and wait
4) The contacts list disappears automatically and touch flo is enabled.

Simply uninstall the HD TouchFlow from Remove Programs.
If you're getting an error that the software wasn't removed completely, try using SKTools. Go to the menu in SK, and use Close Tasks, and Kill Processes. After that, use the SK Uninstall module to remove the HD TF3D completely.

Then, go back to the Today settings, and check back the TouchFlow 3D. You should reboot the device, but it's not necessary.

That's it.

The contents of the CAB file are ~20MB, so I don't think space is your problem...

Ive got the same memory error. But my normal storage should be enough. And if not i have over 1 gb free on the internal sotrage, but when im trying to install it to internal storage it still says I lack memory.

i am using touch diamond
i've clean all unnecessary things and free 26mb for it since some program must install on the device that i can't put them to Internal Storage.

So, I got the Mun version to launch using the keyboard in contacts trick, so the failure of yours due to the launcher app is most likely more in the launcher. It failed on a filenotfoundexception (noted in my previous post). Sprint Touch Pro ROM 1.0.3. Not sure if that helps at all but thought I'd drop the info.

Both boot fine, can get into the interface. When I try to change the order of tabs in the editor, that's where there's troubles.

cool.. works on my fuze with natf 4.0 rom, lost my settings for the weather and programs. not a big deal though. i know it was mentioned before, but can i uninstall this and get back to my old manila.. I forgot to do a full backup before installing this :( I just hate that seeing my phone useless in landscape mode.

edit: one more thing, i cannot scroll / select on my bookmark when i'm in the internet tab.

edit2: after getting unable to complete uninstallation, i'm uninstalling this using sktools but now when I go to weather database editor, i'm getting the following error message "file write protection of database could't removed". Finally fixed it, it seems to have permission issue with _2330fc3c_manila and 2330fc3c_manila. I have to repackage the .cab file and install it.

However, the problem I reported hasn't been fixed yet...

I'll try to explain the problem...
On the contact tab, there is a column of thumbnails on the righthand side.
When I touch and slide downwards from the selected/focused thumbnail I'm able to select another contact. (So far, so good.)
However, when I have seven or more contacts on this tab, the seventh (and up) thumbnail are underneath the tf3d sliderbar. When I select one of these, I can't slect another afterwards in the way I just described...
:(

I think the thumnails are supposed to silde in the opposite direction of my finger, just like the tf3d sliderbar does when selecting an other tab.
I'm not sure, but I think this is the way it works on 'original' Diamond TF3D and should work on the HD TF3D too... :confused:

Anything like this possible?

For those who are reporting that this upgrade aint working on their Stock ROMs, try the following:
1. Download "QuickCAB1.0.Zip" and Run MSCEInfen.exe.
2. Open the ManillaHD files, and extract them on you computer (Using MSCEInfen, not winRAR).
3. Copy the files to your mobile device, any folder other than windows
4. Now from your mobile, run Resco Explorer and move those files extracted from the cab, each to its location, basically. Only three files go under Program Files, all the rest go under Windows. Overwrite all original files
5. Once done, install the hotfix.
6. Restart you mobile.

If you get an error, then try the HDLoader from first thread.

If still doesn't work, sorry, its incompatible with your mobile YET.

Correct, you can use SPB BackUp, but i don't beleive its free. Form my understanding, no matter what manila files you delete or overwrite, when you hard reset your mobile, everything will go back to the factory manila.

Never tried it yet, since i only recently played with my manila. So IF anyone can verify this, it would be great.

PIM Backup, it's free and backs up almost everything. I found it won't grap ring settings or alarm clock settings.

Hint, don't restore your contacts and appts with this if you sync with outlook. It will DUPLICATE all your contacts :) You can unselect these on a restore easily, then use activesync to dump them back to the phone.

It doesn't save the manilla settings, so I have to re-enter weather, etc.

Put a recent backup and the app on your storage card, and after you hard reset, it's there! Good place to make a cabs folder for common stuff, or I think it's called sushi to slipstream apps, that's next on my list to check out.

i would love to try out the new manila HD, but i have a little problem - the memory - i've got 23mb free so far, the installation is about 21 mb but it keeps telling me that the memory is too low and that the cab can't be installed... so i've tried everything to free up some more memory, but 23mb is the max - i've found some useless data in the windows folder which has a writeprotection (yeah i know what i'm deleting, opera cab for example) so i can't delete the data - maybe one of you guys could tell me how to delete the files avoiding that writeprotection.... tried total commander, sktools and windows explorer so far, nothing worked...

First of all, I would like to say thank you for your effort in porting and fixing the Manila HD. I installed it and it works very well on my Diamond. No serious bugs. Only the keyboard pops up while the Manila HD is loading up.

I would like to suggest one thing though. Can you merge all your fixes into one CAB file each time you release them so that it's easier for everyone to download ? Few days I didn't login to xda and you already have fix5.cab. Luckily your thread is still short and finding those previous cabs are relatively easy. I can't imagine if your thread goes like hundreds of pages then finding those fix cabs will be very difficult.

This version is FAST! It work fine in my NEON ROM which is based on CT6.3 and your XBmod rom.

I like the stock tab with multiple graphs...and also like the sound tab.

Nice redo of the weather tab and removal of the number/counter is the right thing to do...GREAT!

There is no delay/lag on the people tab! COOL!

Ok here is exactly what I have done for an install step by step and the results. I am using a Sprint Touch Pro stock rom ver. 1.03.651.4, (which is newer than my previous device, I just got a new one from sprint)
first I;
-started with a clean rom setup after hard reset
-installed net cf 3.5 on to device
-turned off TF3D in settings
-install the "XBmod HD MANILA.cab" on device, about 10 minutes with auto restart and upon restart I got the previous error page
-Went into setting again to make sure TF3D is still turned off
-installed the "hd additional tabs.cab" on device, no reset yet
-installed the "FIX V5.cab" on device, no reset yet
-installed the "XBmod Manila HD loader3.cab" to device
-soft reset

But after continually tapping on the "Start Manila" option nothing happens except the wait cursor comes up for about 2 seconds. I then hit the ok button in the top right corner and the "Start Manila" button disappears and the screen is blank and nothing loaded. I then go into settings and re-enable TF3D. I now get "tap here to launch TouchFLO 3D" message at the top of the screen. When I tap I get "Launching TouchFLO 3D" it begins cycling by it self back and forth between these two messages for 6 times and then stops at "tap here to launch TouchFLO 3D"

now I am stumped as to what to do next.

Second I gave false information that was the cause of the problem and your cab helped me understand. When I said

When I used your new manual start cab and first had the keyboard open while using the manual start then it finally started for me, thanks and I hope some of this information helps you create a automatic fix for others. the way I see it is it just simply boils down to the keyboard fault creating an error or stopping manila hd to load.

it works fine and fast with my diamond in HK (with rom 1.93.832.2 CHT).
the stock tab is even localised, but the weather tab is changed to english. (just very minor)

unfortunately it ate up 27MB from internal memory to make it fully-installed and work (rather the stated ~21MB).
notifications are driving me insane by warning me insufficient space every few minutes!
and i can't install something that would only install in internal memory thereby. :mad:

Don't open physical keyboard but the soft keyboard on the loader or let im open before clic start manila

Great Job XBmod!

I installed it on my Touch Pro with the custom ROM PROven Version 1.08 and it works perfectly.

I only had to delete the weather database to get it to update.

I always wanted to have the stocks tab, now I got it!

Okay, so I finally got it all installed, and then this happens. When my diamond rebooted i can see the "start Manilla" button, but when I press it i get the little windows logo which shows the diamond is busy doing something and then nothing happens.

Using 1.93~ NLD rom.
Anyone else has an idea?

It means that the picture is simple turn right and on the right side of screen there is a black part with disintegrated grafics. It's not nice and embarrassing. But in portrait mode works fine!

I Downloaded hd additional tabs.cab.
But that wasn't very good for me ( TF3D gets slower )
So I deleted it, but my Stock is gone either.
How can I get it back?

Problem Ive incountered is the Weather tab causes Manilla to close itself. thats the only tab I have an issue with. Im wondering if it is because I have loaded some custom cities into the db. Ill try a stock rom and see if they still are there. Im currently using KKs rom on a CDMA Touch Pro. thanks though for all the work it looks amazing.

I did that already, but when I try to re-install, it still says Manila HD is installed, do you want to uninstall? I select yes and it tells me it cannot be removed...

thanks xboxmod, I seem to have issues with the weather and settings tab and ability to click on a tab is gone, can only scroll with the tab buttons.

1st, Weather, works after I add my city then go to another tab and come back, no icons showing
2nd, Settings, click on customize tabs, nothing happens

the phone issue is a wierd one. I thought it was just a bad install so I tried it again after I flashed my phone with the same rom again. and then installed the hd interface and did it again. calls come in but I Cant dial anything out. hitting the phone icon or phone button does not open the dialer. anyone have any ideas?

This is basically exactly what I'm trying to do. I just wanted the increased functionality of the People Tab. The others I really could care less about but thought they would be nice to have.

I'm by no means a pro when it comes to Manila or I wouldn't be asking these questions.

Does anyone here know enough about Manila to extract just the People Tab in it's entirety and rar up the files? I can make take it from there and maybe even make a cab for it.

SOLVED!

Go to Start -> Configuration -> Today -> Choose TouchFLO 3D Plugin. Tap ok reboot. And voilá! Clock working.
