I think it should be the HTC Touch Diamond, because it's internet memory of 4gb

why X1?
Fuze/raphael/HD does everything X1 does, minus the $1000 price tag and pkus better performance.
Fuze and G1 get my vote

LMAO.... if it was "best overrated toy of 2008"
if best pda means best specs, features, and style... touch pro all the way
but i vote for the Titan for the sole reason that its over a year old and has gone through it all and still up to date with current models. from locked to unlocked gps, crappy internet speeds to evdo rev-a upgrade, wm6.0 to wm6.1, from standard wm today to htc home to manila2d etc. etc.
unlike the iphone who needed to release a 2nd gen model just to get 3g speeds

Hmmm, you should have added a vote with the most common devices listed! :)
However, 'BEST PDA' is really a personal opinion - it all depends what you use it for! There are certain criterias, so, if you ask me about the keyboard, I most likely would say: Tytn II. If you ask me about the performance and features, I would say: OMnia. If you ask me about the design, well, I can't help it: X1!!! :D

I think it should be the HTC Touch Diamond, because it's internet memory of 4gb
By that criteria it should be the Nokia N97 since it has 32 GB of ROM.
why X1?
Fuze/raphael/HD does everything X1 does, minus the $1000 price tag and pkus better performance.
Fuze and G1 get my vote
The X1 has more RAM than any of the phones you listed and a higher resolution screen than all but the HD.

Touch Diamond.
Small and sexy with sharp display, only negative about the device is the poor battery.

AND THE WINNER IS......
SONY ERICSSON XPERIA X1 [SEX1] !!!
(IMHO)
Why ?? Well, matter of choices really, I won't argue; just speak out my oppinions:
Sony has done a cool blend of high tech and art here. A real "convergence device". HTC is GREAT, but HTC+SONY=SYNERGY !!!
I've had the tytn, diamond, blackstone... none of them gathered what Sony put in here:
1- beutiful WVGA screen
2- handsome and sexy metal case
3- cool LEDs
4- "bunny-forever" big battery
5- biggest RAM in the market
6- hardware keyboard
7- Sony's "panels" interface with the neat Sony media panel
8- etc etc etc

Agree
Perhaps if all can vote here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=446362 (Only devices made by HTC and supported on this site)
We could get concrete results

Yes but it is very hard to pick a winner if you have not had them all in-hand
Many Raphael users state "being better than xperia" but their screen in not WVGA and lack a metal case and 300MB of RAM so... it's a matter of choices and tastes

More than agree mate!!
And also let´s remember, we are on an HTC XDA-DEVS site, so this means that here we take care exclusively on HTC devices! for the rest I´m sure great sites are around...

I think there have been three great windows mobile phones this year. So my finalists woudl be:
> Omnia
> Touch HD
> Xperia X1
Based on price and features I choose to buy the Omnia - which I am still extremely happy with (so I suppose I think it is the best phone of the year). It has a great screen, fantastic media support, best camera, great size and an amazing battery life. For the price for feature comparison - I don't think it can be beat.

HTC Touch Pro
My vote goes to Touch Pro because it has great keyboard. I think its more important to use great keyboard than to use only 40 px wider display. Lack of partly metal case is compensed with good plastics. I see only one con - touch wheel under display, it's unusable.

HTC TOUCH HD
because --- dual core cpu(cpu+gpu) (has the power needed for the future upgrades, but WM 6.1uses only one core),,Large & Hi res screen,,,Small in size compared to other devices with same popularity and/or screen size,,,and the last one- I own it and I love it (I wouldnt vote for any other device--well maybe HTC TOUCH PRO 2 but thats the 2009 vers.) :D :D

no device is perfect, but I also vote for the xperia x1.
why? hi-res screen (like touch hd) with hardware keyboard but in a really small package (it's smaller than the touch pro).

The best for me in 2008 was, oddly enough, the LG Incite.
I know it's not an HTC device, but it had all the options I wanted (WiFi, Bluetooth, no keyboard, fast processor, adequate built-in memory) and a killer price ($99 after rebate w/ contract). I looked long and hard at the Fuze, but at the end of the day, it wasn't worth $200 more in my current situation. Maybe in 2 years, LOL.
As a budget PDA, the Inicte is strong contender. Once we start seeing cooked roms, I think it will become quite a bit more popular.
