Warning: Overclocking poses the risk of data loss, hardware damage, decreased component life, and even unit death. Proceed with caution if you accept the risks.

These findings aren't particularly new, but hard to source and little mentioned. Under a recent build of Pocket Hack Master, there are two settings that seem to work reliably and produce significant speed increases (both perceptually and objectively).

The two settings are specified below:

1) Slower, likely more stable:
CPU - 702 Mhz
BUS - 234Mhz
RAM - 117Mhz
LCD - 59Mhz

PHM program > Speed Configuration > "Right click" > add manual speed
L - 18
N - 6
A - 1
LCD_26 - 1
Turbo [x]
Fast bus [x]

2) Faster, stable thus far:
CPU - 715Mhz
BUS - 286Mhz
RAM - 143Mhz
LCD - 72Mhz

PHM program > Speed Configuration > "Right click" > add manual speed
L - 22
N - 5
A - 1
LCD_26 - 1
Turbo [x]
Fast bus [x]

===================

Notes:

The Axim x51v, and particularly the PXA270 chips, seem sensitive to clock frequencies pushed significantly above spec. The RAM and bus, however, flexibly overclock well above their stock values without much incident.

728Mhz @ stock RAM,BUS, LCD settings is unstable on some machines and seems to cause connectivity issues. Both 702Mhz and 715Mhz custom settings outperform it without much of either issue.

Problems

Ram disk installations before and after o/c'ing to 715Mhz would not load/nor install properly. Installation to device or SD card appears unaffected and programs load up as normal (save the significant speed increase). You may or may not encounter USB connectivity issues, results were mixed here, but I found no problems with wifi internet (noticed quicker connectivity).

Battery life is untested, but I'd expect some drain.

No soft or hard resets were necessitated thus far, and no crashes to report.

If this at all interests anyone, and you end up experimenting, please post your results here for the benefit of other users.

Thanks and Good luck.

As no one posted reply, I'm so grateful to you because of your perfect overclocking settings. Now FPSECE works flawlessly on my X51v (Also with a 2700G overclock application, use the search engine to take a look at that).

Thanks
