I use the instructions in this thread (http://www.modaco.com/content/tornado-faraday-variants-tornado-modaco-com/262147/unlock-spv-c600-easy-guide/#entry957712) and it worked first time

I unlocked mine by installing new OS on it. There is a karhoe's guide on this forum (3rd sticky topic) that can help you to install new OS on it.

Looks like SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe is not working for IMATE SP5 or QTEK 8310. You can get it unlocked by doing the following:

see attached files, and follow the steps below to get it unlocked.


Step 1: copy the SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab to the phone. Then open File Explorer and go to the location where you stored this file. Simply click on the file and run it. It should say (succesfully installed) after you run it

Step 2: Run the HTCUnlock-CVS application, keep clicking next during the installation process until its finished.

Step 3: Now run SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe and I promise you IT WILL WORK, and it will NO LONGER says (this phone is unlockable). It will UNLOCK IT!!!!
